Watch history being made as veteran drag racer and race car builder Doug Robinson’s Modified Ford Model A sets a new world speed record of nearly 300 MPH with skilled Driver Eddie Marlen behind the wheel.
The car starts on methanol and then switches to 96% nitro methane. You can feel the roar as Eddie puts his foot down and shifts through 3rd gear while making 2500HP and burning 16 gallons over 3 miles in less than a minute.
The specially made tires last only two runs, shredded in just 6 miles.

Hey buckaroo banzai across the eighth dimension, The adventures of! Movie, early 90’s, .Salt flats, new overland speed record, blonde dude in a 10gal.hat packing heat...just reminded me is all. Anyway, Kirby! I am absolutely fascinated by Salt Flats racing... the motorcycles when I was a kid and smarter than my dad. Still am.
