Just what I needed. I watched it twice. I play a tournament this weekend and will use all of it.
Here is how I screw them up currently
    1. Can opener and backhand slice. I am so busy admiring my own serve out wide that I forget what I was doing next
    2. Ankle breaker. I am so busy admiring my own ankle-breaker shot that I get my own ankles broken when the opponent hits an off-balance return. Someday I will work on disguise from the baseline.
    3. Approach + 1. I play to the forehand and get burned at the net.
    4. Serve and volley. A few times late in the set, I even come in on my second serve. It surprises the returner at my level. Higher level players would make me eat it
    5. The deep redirect. Oooh, I didnt know it had a name. Once again, I am so happy to hit it that I forget to get into position for the next shot.
My takeaway for the weekend is to get into position instead of ball-watching.

@RacquetFlex I love your videos, I have been hitting with my dad (untrained) and we started in 2022 and had to stop in 2023 due to my hernia issues but I'm back at it in 2024 😁. I figured out how to get that wrist flick on the forehand, but still failing to find it on the backhand. But I was really wanting to ask if you could make a video on how to aim shots on the forehand and backhand, we can't rally at all. We're constantly running down tennis balls, hitting them into the net or too far away from each other etc. It's at the point where we could pick up all 6 tennis balls and mishit each one. I would be grateful if you could share your insight on accuracy and depth control, because even till this day I am not able to put balls into play that well. And that reminds me, even a simple thing like putting a ball into play without serving would be a good tutorial since most of us noobs have trouble with hitting the net or airing the balls too far into the court to start a simple rally.

You guys are the best at demonstrating what you're teaching. It looks like your're having natural game-paced rallies. At least to me! maybe you're playing at half effort ;)
