Who took the photo? Let's just say I've been IG third wheeling since 2010...
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Classic Wes.
Omg Wes 😂💔
Only Wes could’ve gotten that perfect golden hour light
Let's just say that you're the IG boyfriend... of another couple. Okay nvm. That doesn't sound any better.
The David Choi and Kina Grannis songs helped make it so iconic 😭
Yes! How about a new David and Kina collaboration for the sequel?!
@@muffinister YESSSSSS
Kina Grannis - Cambridge
I listened to that song HARDD on repeat during my first breakup
Yes! I remember immediately afterwards, I had to look for Cambridge. Such a great song embodying a bittersweet, unknown ending.
TRULY
I watched this as a 17 year old senior in high school who had never had a relationship...now I'm 27 and married to my best friend and love of my life!
Same age! I watched it after getting out of a relationship and feeling bad. I'm single now but that's okay with me
Lucky
phil constantly talking about helen throughout the reactions 😭😭 adorable
"sometimes i'm surprised that came out of me" me reading past essays
me on the toilet after taco bell
Beautiful
10 years later phil is engaged and cathy has a daughter
Remember when we all used to ship Phil/Wes and Cathy?
I dont see Micheal in Cathys videos???
Strangers Again defined a whole generation of AAPI youth, no cap
I love how Phil and Cathy are re-acting some of the lines 💖😂
Moment of realization that Wongfu videos have been by our side for more than 10 years now!! Thanks for the great videos 😊
remember doesn’t impossible many different ways of thinking and destroying towns exist mentally or sometimes extremely well question what unoriginal ideas are to the idea of being the most powerful of them being invented or what not in order to create an alternative that works instead and is the only one that is not in the way to create it in reality is what becomes exactly something essentially trivial went into a new idea and it is the same as a different concept of a whole thing and a new concept and a whole thing of some extreme thing and all of that and then you have the same concept that they were invented in different things are they were born and the way they’re made and what they’re used happened except last night asleep tired extremely very suitably edible ahead of their parents they had no choice and i think that’s why the first time they did this was because they wanted to get exposed
Remember watching this short when I was 11, now 21, and I feel like I am a part of something soo much bigger than anybody could’ve predicted, thank you wongfu for just being the best youtube channel for skits and shorts
Dang bro if the short really came out 11’ then it was way ahead of it’s time. I remember watching it in like middle school (12’-15’) and even at a young age I felt I understood the meaning. It’s great to be able to come back to it.
'99 gang
I watched this when I was 20. During one of those afternoon with a hangover, probably broken hearted.. just another college phase.
Now i'm married to the best person in the world and we have a 2 year old bub who's the cutest girl ever, and another one on the way. I feel... blessed, not old 💖
Excited for the future of your films. This film was so impactful and life changing. I carried many of the things from your films into my personal life. At the time I was single, and in college. Since then i dropped out of college, worked in retail for 7 years, went back to college, graduated on the deans list, got a good job with a future, met the love of my life and just this last weekend asked her to marry me and she said yes. Cant wait to see what awaits for my life and for Wong Fu Productions.
impossible doesn’t explain commonly used applications exist destinations towards exploring such as europe or somewhere else where exploring can’t really happen on a day trip and you can’t even mention demand in your travels and travel time and travel costs as much as the price you are looking to get in is reasonable form for the trip and you are likely not getting the best deal on yourself for a few days in the trip to or even theme mention experience of your destination and the destination of a few weeks before the flight arrives and then a week or more before your destination temporarily takes place so you are not only able in your comfort zone with your travel expenses unlike most people on earth who have been traveling for the same length of their life
Strangers, Again is the short that got me into Wong Fu (and Asian UA-camrs in general) 10 years ago. I'm glad WF are re-visiting Strangers, Again and are making a sequel. My expectations are high bc it's one of the seminal Wong Fu works and has a timeless story behind it. I'm sure Wong Fu's production and Cathy's acting will be greater but it was mostly the writing itself that made the initial short great in the first place.
I also agree w/ Phil- Kina Grannis' "Cambridge" got me. It did the same for the ending of Everything Before Us.
My favorite short from Wong Fu, out of all the videos "Strangers Again" hits the hardest the most.
"I would leave me for Chris too" is such an iconic line and such a big mood! But I love you Phil!!!
I had to smoke a lot of weed to get over you. That hits home 😂
My childhood 😫
Yooooo!!! What's going on guys!
I still watch Strangers Again at least once every 6 months. Thank you for making this and letting us have a sequel.
6:20 --> 'tell me more' is a very POWERFUL phrase for guys..
Naming emotions, Understanding, Recognition and support (NURS) are also very good tools..
I remembered watching this over and over 10 years ago when I was in college. Now I'm 32 😭!!!
You’re gorgeous 😍
You’re old asf 😭
This video made me feel so many types of things back then, I can’t believe it’s been 10 years already! It’s so nice to have a little throwback & watch your reactions to it all these years later.
Can’t believe it’s been 10years already. Still one of my favs on UA-cam. Keep up with the good work guys!!!
Strangers Again is one of my favorite Wong Fu videos even to this day. I’ve watched it many times. I’m so excited for this sequel.
This short with you and Cathy made me a fan of Wong Fu produced shorts and series. The stories have such honesty and personal feelings that we all can relate to. I can't wait for the sequel.
I can't believe it's been 10 years since this videooo !!!! And it's so nice to see Cathy, she still looks the EXACT same btw, amazing.
OMG. This video is gold! Thank you Phil & Cathy!!
Ten years ago, I was 17 and I didn't really feel that much of a connection since I didn't have a relationship.
Now, I'm 27 and... I still don't feel a connection since I've been single all my life :c
One of my fave UA-cam vids. This reaction video was AWESOME. I look forward to the sequel.
Definitely watched this after a recent break up too. It’s amazing to see how you relate differently at different points in life, keep it up!
I have been watching "Stranger, Again" since I was 12 for improving my English. And I feel changing and growing in my mind each year I watch it back again. And now I'm 22. Thank u so much for the lessons, the experiences you guys bring to me, WongFu!
Oh man, how has it been 10 years?! I still remember how many times I rewatched this after it came out. One of the best videos on the internet.
Yall were such a big part of my "growing up years" and I feel blessed to have found the channel when I did. Thanks for all the great memories
This short was legendary. I remember watching it with my close friends 10 years ago.
I remember when this first came out, I was in my first year of college. I loved it then & still love it now. It’s resonated me more as I’ve gotten older and been through heartbreak. I can’t wait for a the sequel!
"Strangers, Again" was the first video I watched of Wong Fu. And you know what I just subscribed that's it. Till this day this is my favorite short of Wong Fu productions. Happy and excited to know a sequel is coming up. Also, Cathy is back in the game Yayy...!!!
It is great to have something that can bring us back to that really special moment in our live. Just by looking, reading or watching it. And for me, ‘Strangers Again’ is my time machine. And now I am smiling alone on my bed, reminiscing sweet memories of my teenage years. Beautiful and precious. Thank you wong fu. Thank you for this. ❤️
Ahh.. I see a time machine here. That photo with the shoelace.
Watched it 10years ago when I just broke up , at that moment I passed all stages that was shown in the video "Strangers Again" . Watched it , cried probably almost 100 times on how things ended and we were roughly the same age as Josh & Marissa. Fast forward to now, am married and he is still finding his soulmate. Been through all stages again and I must say the sequel really covers growing up mature stages really well as we are no longer young and able to start over anymore. Thank you Wong Fu Production for such a great video and reminder to us again after 10years that relationship does matter no matter what's the ending.
So relatable, am sending loves from Malaysia! ❤️ Keep up the good works
It's timeless, the storytelling is still relevant today!!! 🎬 It was one of my favourite shorts!!! 🥺 Really looking forward to the sequel... 💖
I love how Phil drops the box at 10:10 and everything just falls perfectly in place for the next shot LOOL
I remember watching this so many times. This was one of the first videos I added to my favorites.
Phil is so cute, he's so excited dissecting each part of the short Strangers, Again 💕
I love Phil roasting cathy throughout the short, This nostalgia just hits different lol
Happy 10th yr! Thanks for always making videos like these!
Strangers Again is all time one of my favorite Wongfu shorts. Super excited for the sequel!
i love this movie, it makes me cry every single time i watch it, because for someone who's never expirienced a relationship, even the bad times are important to learn from. thank you guys for this rebirth. Cant wait for the premiere.
Remember watching it for the first time back in the days....awww so glad wong fu still here with us
keep up the good work :))
Wow 10 years already. Congratulations guys! I still remembered watching those fun lip sync videos. Would be fun to see another lip sync video again - maybe "Leave the door open" from Anderson Park and Bruno Mars
Wow! I have been a Wong Fu fan for 10 years. I saw Strangers, Again when it was released. I was hooked. A Wong Fu classic. It has always been my favorite. Congratulations. Waiting for that sequel. Cathy does look the same.
What you insightfully captured 10 years ago is timeless. The relationship experience is a rite of passage that we can all relate to. The last words about how to remember a relationship is poetic as well as insightful. My words to my children were that it is sad when so much work goes onto a relationship and, although you don't make it, it is often remembered as 'incidental' rather than with wonder and gratitude for the time together.
This was my first ever video that me become a super fun of WongFu. Yup ,i was going through the biggest breakup ever while watching this. You's have brought me through good, bad, and lots of funny tines . Thanks WongFu , can't wait for the sequel!
Ngl I didn't know that the scene at 11:15 "didn't actually happen" until now haha thanks for the info Phil
Same LOL
I’m glad I’m not the only one who only found that out just now 😭
SAME HERE OMG.
Same.
same
It was the first video of you guys I watched. Cannot wait to watch the sequel 🥰
Aw.. i love this. This also brought me back to 10 yrs when i was 15! Wow. ❤️ much love to you guys.
I have been watching your content since I was like ten or younger, now 17 and I'm still rewatching shit over and over again cuz I can't get enough honestly.
This was such a big part of my high school life. Thank you ♥️ I can’t wait to see the sequel. Will you do more sequels to your older videos?
This was a very great short film that teaches what you really go through in a relationship.👍
That film helped a lot and I love you all so much. I can’t wait for the sequel!!
wow, 10 years later and both of them engaged/married and still friends... so much change yet so much constancy in the world
Can't wait! This was one of my first Wong Fu vids~
Such a beautiful short film. Loved wong fu since I was very young. Inspirational 💙
can't believe it's been 10 years already, this was the first ever wongfu vid i ever watched!

This is definitely a life-changing short film to me. This is one of the short films that also helped me grow as a partner to my girlfriend.
Thank you Wong Fu for your amazing contents and especially the artists and people behind everything.
These were great times!! So excited for this!!
I still remember the scenes, and how this video made me feel even after 10 years 🥺
Aww I really love Strangers Again. I’m excited for the sequel!!!
So am so happy that you guys have done this, this was the Golden age of Wong fu and the films you guys have made have shaped me to be the director I am. Thank you for those 10 years and I am super looking forward to the sequel.
I watched it when I was 13 and it's just so crazy how the feelings return in such a different way, it feels nostalgic yet new at the same time
I watched this as a 18- year- old freshman with a lovely boy who introduced me your channel. This video brings me back to gorgeous university life!
I feel so old ...I remember watching this 10 yrs ago with my ex. But I'm now happily engaged with someone.
Takes me back to my college years. I'm a proud fan since the early days of WongFu
this is my FAVORITE Wongfu video
Still my favorite Wong Fu short ever. I always eventually end up showing it to anyone who hasn’t seen it before lol
Man I was 21 when this came out. It’s still relevant to me today as a 31 year old 😂
When this came out I was going through a whole break up still and man did this hit! 😭 will forever be nostalgic. 🤧
Over the years I would watch that video every now and then. Can't believe it was that long ago.
I remember I was in freshman high when this was released. I shared it to my mom, and it became a family reference whenever we talk about relationships and stuff.
I still haven’t had a partner, but this still hit.
The first short film on UA-cam that I ever fell in love with 😍😍😍
Strangers again is the best short film wong fu production has created.
I usually watch Strangers again at least once a year. Now this made me want to watch it right now.
perfect! loved this! hahahaha cant wait for the sequel!!!
When this came out I had just broken up with my then GF of 3 years and it hit the feels 10 years latter in married to my wife of 4 years not the same person to be clear lol
Aww this was so cute!!
Re-watching this brings me back to 2009: We were just in Step 2 and onto Step 3 when things ended. It was my high school love and my first. It started and ended in our senior year, just weeks after our graduation. If it didn't, it would have been an LDR situation that I was willing to go through but he wasn't. I wasn't able to fully move on until I had my first "real" relationship in my junior year of college. It was a toxic one and ended few months after my college graduation.
At some point, me and my first love reconnected and somehow "tried", I guess.
I know you might be thinking for a second there that, "aww, they got back together." But this is not that kind of story. I just felt like it was one-sided and he's just playing it for the fun. I ultimately realized that I had to face the horrible truth of it not happening - I just need to let it all go and push myself to stop waiting for the tiniest possibility with this person and just move on.
2021: A few months after our "re-connection", I met someone whom I never thought was my ideal type but here we are, six years in the relationship. I would like to say that we are in Step 4 and fortunately, we are making the most out of it. I am finishing my Master's degree while working; he's working and making his way to the top, but still spends late nights even after long hours of work just to help me and support me. Getting married and having kids are some things that we will get into once we have straightened out our career goals. For now, we're mutually working for stability. We talk the needed "talks", and we always see that we are on the same page.
To you reading this, if things aren't working out now, or a past love still haunts you until this day, know that it's going to be better. Things happen for a purpose and the bad ones opt to teach us. Full acceptance, making the best choices for you, and for people like me believing in God, definitely prayers - to me, these are the ultimate keys. It's harder to see the good things that are truly meant for you when you are too focused on getting what you just want.
You'll be fine, promise.
I'm not even in the right emotional state to watch this right now but strangers again is the first wing fu video I ever saw and I have been a subscriber ever since (even buying the movie everything before us on vimeo)
based on a Xanga post?! omg talk about throwback
In 2011 I was only 9 years old lol but the line “we either break up or get married” has been stuck in my head all this time
This is everything ❤️
