I'm in the process of rebuilding a d1 I bought. the floor was similar not as bad not as big holes but small ones. I've sanded rust back and painted with hammerite. chassis has surface rust but no holes. I thought mine was gone to far but this video is what I've been looking for. giving me hope and motivation 🙏

I've just bought a D1 and will have the same job in rear. Vid is very helpful
You can do what you want to hide the body rust, but your chassis is dead...

By who's standard, I've seen many a chassis be repaired and worse than this....
@@automotiveadventure2702 You're certainly right, if the MOT accepts. But it's often cheaper to replace the chassis.
