Laying. Laying on my couch. Old soldier’s mantra - don’t run if you can walk, don’t walk if you can stand still, why stand if you can sit, lay down instead of sitting, lay down and watch videos of some mad Kiwi fixing his old Landy if at all possible.
You're lucky they shipped your exhaust pipes in a box. I ordered full exhaust for my S3 from UK and they shipped to Kenya as bare pipes with a shipping label taped on. Luckily they arrived unscathed. But fumbling around in my gravel driveway to install them I managed to get a piece of gravel in the pipe and now I have a lovely jingle every time I start up the Landy.
Ordinarily I would baulk at a 48 min video. But when it has Geoffery Croker’s name to it, you know it won’t be long enough. Absolutely superb and better than anything you’ll get on “pay TV”.
Totally agree on Emberton (and in the UK, they are also on eBay as well) - Great to see the next video up, Sooooo many tips to be had for my next project (1983 Series III 109) - looking forward to the next one.
Project Binky ain't got nothing on Aaron Cake who has been working on his Mazda Cosmo in Canada for about 12 years now. I don't know if I'm allowed to point this out, but just soldering a new larger OD end on the vacuum pipe, without adding the extension, would have allowerd you to use "any old hose" instead of a 40 year old NOS part. It's great to see it running!
The annual video drops! Awesome!!!! By the way my ex military defender came with a painted diff cover for silent convoy mode, the light underneath then lit something up for the driver behind to follow.
Now I see it.. 17 months to clock the distributor and 1 month for the rest 😅 You nailed it once more! Great job, great video and greetings from a fan from Portugal 🇵🇹
Excellent work, Goeff! I'm here in the US knee deep in rebuilding my Rover. ... I've uploaded a few videos... not to your quality, but I'm trying to get there:) All the best and hopefully we'll get our respective Landy's back out in the dirt. -- And the Binky joke was perfect; I bet more than half of the folks here got it.
Please give us an update sooner than 18 months, ive missed this Rover so so much! The amount of work youve done is incredible, the level of detail is unpar with any other build
I have to go back to your original channel to review all the work all in one go haha. Also, Once this is done, I hope you do a 1-2 hour MEGA edit! Just amazing work!
Damn I'm so excited today my Lightweight arrives. I'm a fifty something guy and I am buzzing today can't wait to get stuck in to the old crusty rust bucket. Two hours to go. Thanks for the content you are doing an awesome job..
If you plug in and out the Makita battery several times on the charger you can change the jingle that plays at end of charge. One of the jingle slots is blank so you can turn it off. There is even a Für Elise and others, lol.
While waiting for you I have had to watch an Australian rebuilding a S1 - can you just imagine? HE is a kicker, biter and a spitter. You sir, are dangerously close to becoming a rivet-counter. I love it. Keeps me going on my own not-project, and you are doing some of the best of type content I know of. Brilliant. Cheers from KZN South Africa.
So pleased to see another video, I recommend these videos to all who want to understand the foibles of a Series Land Rover, so clearly explained with humour and great music. Found this video late at night and stayed up way too late to watch it. Totally worth it. On a side note, another vote for Emberton Imperial. I have visited the Emberton premises in the UK and met Charles who is very helpful. He is a top bloke and any issues are instantly resolved. His stuff all works, not a lottery like some other retailers. He commissions new manufacture of a lot of bits and pieces not available elsewhere.
Entertaining, thanks! I always open your videos smiling at why anyone would want to be working on an archaic shitbox with imperial fasteners and 11 horsepower…and finish the video with a vague hankering to go and buy one…
Started with your video after 5 minutes of release... Completed it after 10 hours .. turns out I had better things to do but I found some time here and there to watch a guy tinker with his landrover whom I joined to watch some lathe restoration... Life i guess
Amazing video as always. I have a series 2 sitting there waiting for the restoration to magically start. Your attention to detail is incredible. How on earth did you mangae to spot that divet in the bottom of the fuel tank. It would never of crossed my mind to even check it. You should do this full time.
Very entertaining as per usual Mr Croker. You're attention to detail is fantastic. I can't wait to see your face after it's completely covered in mud after our big 4WD trip 😁😁
Perfect Sunday morning viewing. Ever thought of doing a co-presentation with Marty-T. Between the two of you I'm certain you'd be able to find that Land Rover with a good battery in a paddock/barn/living room somewhere.
Good to see progress has been made. Makes me know I am not alone when projects take a little time. Wonder if E.V's will feature in restoration videos in sixty plus years time!
Nice one Geoff. Great to see the series three back on the channel. Now a request. Get one of the Land Rover projects finished. Totally finished. Then please, pretty please, the Super 7. 👌
Good to see you working on the Landy again. My friend has a series 3, but it's not as pretty as yours. Trust me, I've been elbow deep inside it's greasy heart too often. Regards, Preso
Hi Geoffrey & Folks, Quoi??
One or two days ago I was thinking damn it has been a long time since I've seen a video about the land Rover and looked at your channel to see if I missed something. Now this is in my feed... Very nice
Emberton are great, have bought quite a few bits off them - had Charles call me up from his own mobile to check I was OK with a substitution they had to make once. That's customer service.
best day ever! a Croker Rover video! awesome work, Binky joke made us all smile. You're getting there for sure, it's starting to look and sound like a truck. Charts are awesome, they hang proudly in the shop! greetings from Canada.
Yeeeessssss, finally im so excited Edit You are a bad influence on me. i really want a series 3 swb now, but my dad said no more cars, especially landrovers he doesnt like them cant imagine why not like we had one sitting for 8 years non running or anything. 😂 Love your content mate From an aussie friend
Hahaha the project Binky joke had me rolling from the first minute!
It was harsh. Hit me right in the feels.
@@philippayne1544 Hit BOM right in the brackets!
i missed it 🤦
I'm a simple man: I see the CROKER, I see the ROVER. Thumbs up baby.
Same here, haven't even watched the video yet
+1 me too.
Having to wait 18 months (where did the time go?) just to see him struggle to put a round shaft in a round hole. But totally worth it
I'm off to watch the end of Project Binkie!
Oh wait.
Fierce burn Mr Croker!!
Pink Floyd and Land Rover…could you ask for more?!!?!?!? ❤

Excellent surprise waking up to a new video in this series!
Ordinarily I would baulk at a 48 min video. But when it has Geoffery Croker’s name to it, you know it won’t be long enough. Absolutely superb and better than anything you’ll get on “pay TV”.
I cant finish my car without the full series of this build, so I’m stoked about a new upload!😎
I’m pretty sure you’ll be travelling Norway in yours before I even fit a wheel 😂
We are back baby! ❤
Great vid. Been missing the rover progress 🤙🤙
Totally agree on Emberton (and in the UK, they are also on eBay as well) - Great to see the next video up, Sooooo many tips to be had for my next project (1983 Series III 109) - looking forward to the next one.
Thanks Paul
Loved the Binky joke.....was drinking out of my BOM mug when I spat my tea out 😂
Wow at the bracket mounting of the PCV valve you had me laughing out loud like I almost never do watching youtube..
Extremely relatable!
“spark plug wires are black”
19:34 - 19:58. The best 24 seconds on UA-cam
The patience of a saint, rust and british engineering is a deadly combo
Came for the humour, stayed for the content. So glad to see more Croker Rover!
Flashback to my Dad's 52 series 1 where the fuel gauge was a stick with notches cut in it
Plug in and unplug the battery in the makita charger to change the tune it plays when the battery is plugged in/finished charging.
This.
Beat me to it

speaking of Aaron Cake, my Cosmo senses are tingling.
That would not have been a bad idea... 😅
😂, Trus in every sense of the word.
An audible gasp alerted the folks at this lunch establishment to the reality of a new Croker video ❤️😂
Shine on, you crazy Kiwi.
The annual video drops! Awesome!!!! By the way my ex military defender came with a painted diff cover for silent convoy mode, the light underneath then lit something up for the driver behind to follow.
Missed this series! Glad to see it back. As much as I love this disco project, this one is my favorite.
You had me rolling throughout this. Makes me feel so much better about when I do stupid s**t trying to work on my vehicles 😂😂😂
Thanks Geoffrey, your videos are like a solar eclipse or other important astronomical event. Rare but they get people excited all over the world.
Great to see the landy back. It’s looking good and that engine sounds smooth.
Very enjoyable tinkerage.
HE’S BACK!!!! Awesome to see your videos as ever, you’re probably my favourite channel on YT. Keep up the amazing work!
I had given up on seeing any more of this project... but I was very excited!!
I missed your videos bro! I appreciate your humor. These are always entertaining videos to see good quality British engineering.
Now I see it.. 17 months to clock the distributor and 1 month for the rest 😅
You nailed it once more! Great job, great video and greetings from a fan from Portugal 🇵🇹

Very impressed, what a wonderful job you made of it, good for another 50 years in the right hands!
Please give us an update sooner than 18 months, ive missed this Rover so so much! The amount of work youve done is incredible, the level of detail is unpar with any other build
LOL'ing hard at that Binky burn!!
Well done mate! Cheers from Argentina.
I use the charts all the time to do conversions to metric, best merch ever.

Came here to say just this.

Wow, that 48 minutes absolutely flew by!
Entertaining, thanks! I always open your videos smiling at why anyone would want to be working on an archaic shitbox with imperial fasteners and 11 horsepower…and finish the video with a vague hankering to go and buy one…
48 minutes of classic Crocker humor, cant go wrong with that!
not even 30k subs, absolutely criminal!!! explains your attitude towards comments though hahaha
So glad you're back, more videos soon please.
You're a clever and witty fella. Thanks for the video. It's terrific of course.
Awesome job and truly a pleasure to watch. Your eye for detail and originality is insane!
Excellent stuff Mr C. Surprised you struggle to get BA stuff in NZ.
Defender owner here and... daaaamn it's amaizing, was missing your vids, but now seeing it on... gave me chivers!
19:40 was VERY funny
And Binky. And Britpart.
Not a painted diff cover!!! This reminded me of the timeless line, "Not to 50!!!" Absolute legend
😃Shine on you crazy Rover!! So glad to see you back!
Clever comment. I got that reference.
I truly have been watching the Binky. Again! I started it all over because it takes so blody long 😂
Waiting for the snazzy blue silicone radiator hoses 😂
Well worth the WAIT!!! And it might even be finished before Binky 🤞, just in time for another project?????
Started with your video after 5 minutes of release... Completed it after 10 hours .. turns out I had better things to do but I found some time here and there to watch a guy tinker with his landrover whom I joined to watch some lathe restoration... Life i guess
Those frustration scenes are the best part. Very relatable, though I'd have more cursing to beep out.
through all the frustrations when it fires for the first time after the rebuild it is wonderful
Can't wait to see this project completed.
This series has build more hype that any marvel's phase
Love you my man
Brilliant as ever Geoff, my favourite you tube channel!
Amazing video as always. I have a series 2 sitting there waiting for the restoration to magically start.
Your attention to detail is incredible. How on earth did you mangae to spot that divet in the bottom of the fuel tank. It would never of crossed my mind to even check it.

I can't thank you enough for making these.
Very entertaining as per usual Mr Croker. You're attention to detail is fantastic. I can't wait to see your face after it's completely covered in mud after our big 4WD trip 😁😁
Covered in mud! Are you f* kidding! She’s a show pony 😂
HE'S BACK!
Gotta tidy the plug leads now, thanks. Great as usual!
I see CROKER, I click
Great video! I just got to this point on my rover project, but you are much more meticulous than I am. New exhaust and intake hardware incoming!
Sentimos falta desse carro! Queremos ver ele pronto!
Brilliant as always! Thanks for creating and sharing these.
It’s alive!!
Love it. It running. I recon it’s going fast from this point forward.
Perfect Sunday morning viewing. Ever thought of doing a co-presentation with Marty-T. Between the two of you I'm certain you'd be able to find that Land Rover with a good battery in a paddock/barn/living room somewhere.
God that stab at Project Binky has me in stitches.
Fantastic video as always, hopefully we won't have to wait 18 months for the next one...😅
If you are looking for 3,4,5 BA, I have a pretty good selection. Thanks for the entertainment . Cheers Mike
You sir would fit right in the state of Kentucky running open heads near a plastic tank.
Good to see you working on the Landy again. My friend has a series 3, but it's not as pretty as yours. Trust me, I've been elbow deep inside it's greasy heart too often.
Regards, Preso
Had a rough day at work, but come home to a croker video, and my life gets a little bit better.
Hi Geoffrey & Folks,
Quoi??
Great to see an update on the Land Rover young man, and I have to say, it's a mint job you are doing!
Awesome 😎.
My Britpart fuel tank came pre-dented (package was ok) and a random screw in the bottom rattling about. Probably a 3BA 😂
Love watching your videos. It really stokes my hatred for british engineering.
One or two days ago I was thinking damn it has been a long time since I've seen a video about the land Rover and looked at your channel to see if I missed something. Now this is in my feed... Very nice
A new Croker Land Rover video will never fail to stop me in my tracks and drop everything else.
Emberton are great, have bought quite a few bits off them - had Charles call me up from his own mobile to check I was OK with a substitution they had to make once. That's customer service.
Loved it, thank you for taking the time to share.
I loved the Disco episodes but great to see you back on this project. I look forward to future episodes.
best day ever! a Croker Rover video! awesome work, Binky joke made us all smile. You're getting there for sure, it's starting to look and sound like a truck. Charts are awesome, they hang proudly in the shop! greetings from Canada.
Best soundfx ever! 😂
Nice one! Your attention to detail and knowledge on this stuff is truly impressive - Cheers from Boston
Yeeeessssss, finally im so excited
Edit

Mounting hole zoom shot--an instant classic
I recently bought a dream car (NA MX5) and literally the first thing I bought was new spark plug wires. Black ones. 👍
Somewhere in the recesses of my memory I remember webbing under the front tank flange
Someones been watching Vice Grip Garage 😆. Awesome video as always
This is the best series known to man!
.....beast or mice, as Disney said.
