I've been playing the drums since I was 12. I'm now 67, I was completely self taught until 4 months ago. I started taking lessons from a guy who is schooled. This is the same stuff he's been teaching me. Even though I'm a competent player I never knew the finer points. I'm remorseful that I didn't learn these things sooner! This video and my teacher are exactly what I need.
Hey Gabriel, I've been playing drums for Three years now soon to be four years in September. I absolutely love your videos because you're an awesome drummer and you have awesome drum skills.
Thank you very much. I appreciate your kind words. Oddly enough, there may not be a new one this Tuesday as I am battle my audio gear lol but I've not given up yet. Thank you for watching
Hello i grew up in Greenville Mich we had pleasure of going to band camp at Michigan State. While there during the summer we got section leaders from various drum cores Phantom Regiment and The Cadets of Bergan County!! We even had a DCI in our town in the early 90s love your videos!!! I was bass drummer in marching band miss it tremendously!!!
Thank you for checking out my vids. I'm glad you got to experience some drum corps and be in drum line. II believe it to be an irreplaceable part of my development as a person.
Hey there Gabriel from Ned in Spain. Back again for another tasty Tuesday tutorial. I love working out with shifting accents especially with triplets. This was an excellent breakdown and explanation. I realize every teacher has their own method in demonstrating these exercises but I think it would be cool to do at least a short demo on how it sounds on the drum kit. Keep healthy and see ya next Tuesday. Adios, salud y hasta pronto !
Thank you for joining me again this Tuesday and for providing the content idea. This video was getting long, soon I will have to make another one with this exercise on the drum kit.
Thank you so much, I appreciate it. When you say "traditional and no traditional" are you referring to how I hold the sticks or the old vs. new style of notating the Three Camps?
Not that easy Accents make it difficult at times Sounds great and a great exercise I need to read it and learn the accents before playing it all together
Blue Devils were my first favorite as a kid. To my good fortune I got to work with two members of the percussion section over the years. Thank you for leaving the comment
@@DrumTipTuesday that’s cool. I’m from Vancouver Canada and was with a local drum corps, we made a trip down to DCI at Mile High Stadium in ‘77. I was 13 at the time. Blue Devils were the best there was but Blackwatch and others that I don’t remember the names of were pretty incredible too.

Thanks Gabriel for another useful lesson🥁🇦🇺
I'm glad you like it.
Good one Gabriel.
I always look forward to your new video’s. The control and discipline is what I need. Thanks
Control and discipline are admirable attributes. I'm so happy to hear others talk about that in their study of the drums

Thanks for postin Gabriel another great lesson 🥁🇦🇺
Best video. It would be interesting to see the analysis in your performance Tree Camps traditional and no traditional version.
Thank you so much, I appreciate it. When you say "traditional and no traditional" are you referring to how I hold the sticks or the old vs. new style of notating the Three Camps?
Thanks for the answer. I meant parsing the notation. Analysis of movements and execution with their help stroke rolls and their skeletons

It's one that's worth learning. I hope you get something useful out of it and thank you for commenting.
First .. to say its time to Wake the Neighbors!
I wore the sweater again so I could get that "wake up neighbor" vibe
Blue Devils ‘77 or Blackwatch
