I'm not sure my drumming qualifies for the "chops" level, but I give credit to Freddy Gruber, Bruce Becker, Jim Chapin - Moeller Technique,, Joe Morello via @rickdior, his 'Hand Technique' videos are awesome, and Gordy Knudsen of the Steve Miller Band, his videos on the open/close technique are very well done & demonstrate the bio-mechanics excellently.
