I am afraid the extension tube you referred to will not fit this MF02S V2 model here. You have to buy the long version of this model -- which I think looks ugly.
After much consideration I got an mf04 and now im looking for a long range floodier beam for shorter range searching and I think this light is going to be the one. In that decision im also considering that I can use an extension tube for increased run times.

That's not possible unless you're using another driver. I used custom high current dual springs that were also bypassed and get a max of 5800 - 6000 lumens at 30 sec. I used the same batteries for the Sofirn TK70 with same spring mod and got 8000 lumens. The Sofirn HD batteries achieved 6000 lumens and the PLB 26650's, Sofirn also now sell, rated the same. In the TK70 at 8000 lumens from a stock measurement of 6000. Shows my batteries used weren't the bottle neck. Others on BLF also couldn't achieve higher than 6000 unless they changed the mosfet. I have a calibrated lumen tube too, what do you use?
It destroys the FTO3S performance wise, 1750m vs 1300m and a few more lumens, but the FT03S is smaller, has Anduril, button indicator and type-c charging.
what battery do you use in astrolux ft03s? and the tests were in turbo mode? Sofirn 89,733 cd 687 mts vs astrolux ft03s 510,000 cd 1428 mts. There is something wrong with the video that doesn't match at all.

I have the short body version from July 2021. I also have other flashlights from Astrolux. Mf04S, MF02 MF02S, MF01, MF01s, and I have a long body I bought for MF04. Today I placed the batteries backwards while talking to the telephone. I smelled something burning and I understood what I just did. I have done that two, three times before but nothing like that happened. I remember I read on the description on banggood site it is protected from wrong polarity placement. The contacts in the battery compartment are black and the flashlight is not working anymore. I tried with the long body the green power button flashes two times and when I press for 2 seconds it lights up in very low intensity. The I press again it closes and does not do anything else. Is it toast? What are the repair options? I contacted banggood and wait for their response. The problem is they don't have a repair shop in Greece... This ruined my day today... Very furstrated....

It does look weaker, I never lie in comparisons, I noticed the weak beam whilst editing though, could just have been more atmosphere in the first vid or the SBT90.2 has just weakened with use, I'll have to remeasure tonight. Strangely the Sofirn SP70 seemed a lot brighter than when i reviewed it, it performed like a 1000m thrower, so I'll measure that too.
I applied a ratio to find the distance measurements at the lower ranges of the Turbo, but it is wrong. Do you have these measurements in High/Mid2/Mid1 (4900lm/1800lm/705lm)? I bought this lamp after watching your video and I am satisfied with it ^^

Loving the reviews. Have only a passing interests in torches, but the 5 year old in me thinks the Astrolux MF01s and MF02s are very cool. Seen your reviews etc. Struggling to make my mind up which way to go. I love the flood of the 01s but wonder if the range is impressive enough. In turn wonder if the impressive range of the 02s is let down by its flood. All I can base it on is videos. Which not the seem as in the flesh. Hence contacting you, can you offer some insight being as you have handled them?
The throw of the MF01S is too intense imo. It basically throws a huge hotspot a very long way but sometimes the glare is unbelievable. The MF02S is probably too powerful for a thrower, you only get a minute or so on turbo and when the voltage drops even less. The MF04 gives you more distance and longer turbo/battery runtimes. But it's a big light.

@@bazmoore2438 nah, they were both disappointing. The MF01S and MF02S are both great wow lights. If you can stretch on budget the Acebeam K75 scums the MF02S. But the MF01S can't really be beat by other popcan lights.

SP70 still the best combination of throw & flood.., even can hold 7000Lumen (HD Battery) for 2min..

@@artiet5982 for that you need to use a high drain battery, minimum 20 continuous amps. What battery are you using for ft03s?

I usually just measure turbo distance at turn on.

All these torches should be USB chargeable at this price point no reason at all to have that? would love a multi-battery monster compact flood with the lit button as per astrolux but has to have USB charging!!
No please, better without USB Charging.. If you an active person that always outside, the rubber cover is always your enemy.. Like what happen to both my FT03 and SP33 V3, damage during fishing and rough use at the swamp.. I prefer non-rechargeable style..
Usb charging is just dangerous when the batteries are used in series
