      😂😂😂😂 never seen skirting installed like that in my life 😂😂😂😂 half the wallpaper backing was still left on the walls. Someone needs to tell the old boy to hang the boots up

    Thank you so much for your brilliant advice.
    I stripped my skirting board much to the disapproval of my partner and family....too fussy etc. So in doing so i hacked a big gap behind the skirting much like your skirting in your video. I didnt like plastering job that ww had done and i attempted to chip away the lumps of plastering but ended up with huge rugged hole.
    My partner said the wall needs to be replastered and its just been left for over a year.
    Any way thanks a million to you! I can now silence my critics and follow your advice.
    Im going to surprise everyone and try to do it whilst everyone goes away for a break!
    I will be tuning in for more of your advice and tips....really inspiring and liberating!
    You have a fabulous way of explaining clear and you make things sound straightforward and uncomplicated.

    I appreciate your video more than you can imagine. Thank you so much. I just
    Moved into the property where upon stripping 5 layers of wallpapers this kind of holes was what I found. I feel less frightened of it now and more confident to tackle the job in hand. ❤

    Thanks for sharing your video and knowledge. I would just add one note: when you are painting between two colours, the lines must be more smooth, more straight and less imperfection.

    can you please tell me the difference between caulk and polyfilla.....many thanks.

    • @Inexteriors
      @Inexteriors  2 роки тому +1

      @Glen T . Caulk is flexible and can be smoothed with finger, not sanded . It is used to fill gaps down the edges of door frames tops of skirting boards internal mitres on skirting boards, pollifiller is a brand off filler that makes fillers for holes that can be sanded, they also make caulk aswell. hope this helps.

    i got this problem, but i have pipe in just above the skirting and a radiator, any idea how to do it please?

    • @Inexteriors
      @Inexteriors  2 роки тому

      A lot of skirting board with radiators above have pipe work above the skirting, maybe you can paint the pipes the same as the wall colour if they are above the skirting board. maybe you could box the plpe work in. I would need to see the situation to be honest, hope these suggestions give you an idea.

    I have gaps the same as your video but not as deep.. I'm wondering if the foam comes out fast.. I don't want it to go everywhere.. I just need a small amount?
    I probably sound ridiculous but I have NO CLUE how to do anything DIY & have no choice but to do it myself!
    Any advice would be much appreciated.

    • @Inexteriors
      @Inexteriors  2 роки тому +1

      Put a sheet down first, then use the foam, leave until fully dry, any accidents should come of when fully dry.

    Is it safe to use expandable foam near a socket? It's flamamable and insulates. So if the wires get hot, it could cause a fire couldnt it? Because the heat can't escape.

    • @DannyBoy777777
      @DannyBoy777777 Рік тому

      @Inexteriorstv Hi. I've read they are all flammable, even after drying. Don't know what to believe, really.

    • @Inexteriors
      @Inexteriors  Рік тому

      After researching it, i make you right, you definitely dont want to over do it and cover the wire so its double insulated. So make sure the cable is in a conguate. This is why i love the comment section, you just always keep learning.
