One of the best instructional videos I have seen out there gave me a little more confidence to use these types of lures and technics. The underwater is awesome , thanks for the info.
love the under water videos, keep teaching us how to fish. The more under water videos I see from you the better my fishing gets. To see how the bait looks and moves is awsome keep em coming.
The bubbles given out from the ringFry is just cool and something you guys out there should take into account when using one and could come into play more than you think.... did anyone else notice this??
CRAZY I also doubted the air tail after buying a few packs, Went out today after watching this vid and put it on a shaky head, hit hard on my second cast. Great vid, tips working, you revived my confidence in the air tail!!!
Rob- “I don’t have a lot of confidence in this bait.” Also Rob- “This is a very very good bait.” Lol love what you’ve done with the channel bro, my favorite is the kayak fishing and fishing with Scott
Good stuff man! One suggesting if you have the extra camera and time is showing your rod action in a smaller window. That way showing the rod action with the lure would be a great learning exercise.
Great video. The airtail rattler is one of my best baits. The smokin shad color with a chartreuse dipped tail can be killer in my area. I own a bunch of those worms now. I love the fact that I can easily add a rattle like a Hag's Tornado which I prefer wacky. The airtail shines Texas rigged and on a shaky head.
not sure if you noticed in the video, but something ive learned is those ribs hold air once it hits water, which is what makes those small bubbles come from the bait. sometimes those bubbles are the key
my favorite creature bait of all time is a Berkley Bungee hawg! that thing is killer! awesome action just sitting still!! cant believe berkley discontinued the Bungee line, every bungee bait was deadly! caught the most bass in my life in one day off a bungee worm! thank god you can still buy them on ebay! also theres a guy on ebay who makes/sells custom bungee worms!!
Great video. Suggestion: next time you're doing the dual/inset view, have the above water camera in front so we can see the rod action along with the underwater footage. BTW - You've sold me on the shaky head rig.
Personally liked the Lake Fork, and the Grande Bass presentations. Im new to bass fishing normally fish for cats but trying something new. -Ft. Hood, TX
If you want a trick worm that stands straight up like the air tail, use the Berkley Havoc Bottom Hopper. It has a low salt content and has an awesome presentation. Also seems like the shakey head you have falls over a lot.
Love your underwater footage! Only guy on you tube I have found with underwater footage. Keep up the awesome job. Whack a big sack this weekend! Kvd perfect plastic finesse worm will stand up on a shakey head, u might give it a try
+Sam Sportsman I have and I really really cant stand how difficult they are to get on the damn hook. But you are right once you get them on they are really good. Thanks for watching
I also love braid because it has a very thin diameter for line test, which means you can add more line to your spool. I also love it that uncoated braid has no memory, and coated braid, which I prefer, has a dynamic memory. Bend a kink in good quality coated braid, such as Berkley pro grad trilene, and the kink stays there. This means the line stays on your spook, and doesn't tangle as easily. Almost never, at least for me.
James Ritchie I wouldn't use straight braid for shakey heads. I'd use a fluoro leader -- you won't sacrifice a lot of sensitivity either. it's a finesse presentation so a lot of time, you're targeting line-shy, weary fish. plus, with a single large hook, you need some stretch in your line to get a good hookset. if you insist on using straight braid, I'd use a softer rod (moderate/moderate-fast)
dude you should check out the Havoc bottom hopper and the strike king KVD Fat Baby Finesse Worm both are thicker than the Zoom worm and stand up much better. That little extra girth seems to get'em going. Good video bro keep it up.
Bill Hamilton you don't need a spinning rod just a medium action rod to medium light if. Spinning rods in the medium power category seem to have a faster tip witch allows you to move the bait not the weight. So lighter the power of the rod Medium to medium light the more action of the worm the stiffer of a rod like medium heavy or heavy will pick the bait up Completely
I know this is like 3 years later... But if you're ever up in New York and want to slay some lunkers and get that hair cut... I own a barber shop... And love to fish. Lol. Hit me up if you're ever up this way. Cuts on me. Thanks for all the great videos. Much appreciated my friend
never tried the brush hog. do you have quite a few bites on those? I use to use them Texas rigged all the time. but have stayed away lately. but if this works, I will go back to it
Loving those ring frys great for C rigging but I can promise you if you try the lake fork hyper finnese worm you it will be one of your faveorites... One other thing do you fish fork a hole lot?
+texas bassin 55 I really only tend to fish the lakes that I have tournaments coming up on. I will fish Fork for fun during the good times of the year to see if I can get myself a double digit fish.

I love the Grandebass Air Tail worm, but appreciate it more now that I see it like this. Sweet video, Rob

The bubbles given out from the ringFry is just cool and something you guys out there should take into account when using one and could come into play more than you think.... did anyone else notice this??

Yea man of course. Shaky head fishing is a very slowwwwww way of fishing
Great video love the tips just got the baby brush hog
not sure if you noticed in the video, but something ive learned is those ribs hold air once it hits water, which is what makes those small bubbles come from the bait. sometimes those bubbles are the key
I know this was posted forever ago, but great video. Would love if you did more of these with the baits you haven't done yet. Chatter bait maybe?
Youre my favorite youtuber !!!!
Do you have any fishing videos of you using the Grandebass air tail worm?
Subscribed just for the MLG sweatshirt.
I swear I passed by u at a walmart...didnt want to interrupt your filming thought you would karate chop me..lol
Good video man! Those grande bass worms have a great action. You can find trick worms with no salt that will stand up instead of lay down.
+Alex Rudd Fishing Good point on the salt I will look into them. Thanks
I personally enjoy flyfishing and gear fishing and think it'd be cool to do some fly testing!!
great video, appreciate a solid technique vid

Ok you gave me some good pointers on your worms! I'm thinking now I'm ready for some hard bait demo,s
Love the Infantry flag in the background. 1/36 Spartan here
Baby brush hogs are great baits
Excellent review vid! How have the grande bass worms worked out so far? Semper Fi
Lunker talk about old old old school rob, upset u didn’t make the sound effects like u did with the underwater googan baits
Hi , are these Sotbaits right for a fishing session from the riverside, like Texas rig spinning? I don't use boat or similar stuff. Thanks a lot

dude you should check out the Havoc bottom hopper and the strike king KVD Fat Baby Finesse Worm both are thicker than the Zoom worm and stand up much better. That little extra girth seems to get'em going. Good video bro keep it up.
+BassGeek I will get a couple bags of those and get them a shot thanks.
you are good at finding
Please being these back!!! 😩😩
no worries, hair looks good
Check out the Gambler Giggy Stick. It is like the Trickworm but the tail end is hollow like a tube so it floats. Its one of my go
to baits
nice vid taught me alot bout how to use these lures.... can u do a frog vid or spinner/buzz bait underwater vid?
Excellent vid! Thank you Sir!
Please explain why you need to use a spinning reel for this set up.
Bill Hamilton you don't need a spinning rod just a medium action rod to medium light if. So lighter the power of the rod Medium to medium light the more action of the worm the stiffer of a rod like medium heavy or heavy will pick the bait up Completely
Is a shaky head basically like a Ned rig except with a longer bait?
Do you hook up the Brush hog with the flaps closed or open?
I know this is like 3 years later... But if you're ever up in New York and want to slay some lunkers and get that hair cut... I own a barber shop... And love to fish. Lol. Hit me up if you're ever up this way. Cuts on me. Thanks for all the great videos. Much appreciated my friend

I use the zoom floating trick worms. They work awesome as well as the vmc heads
check out powerteam lures 7" tickler, their baits are naturally buoyant so they float. I even put their creature baits on a shaky head.
Awesome vid!
any shakey head recondmadations?

I throw strait braid too. Tieing a leader on your line is just another thing to go wrong
tie a good knot and it won't
