That minno y’all pulled out of the pond is called a mosquito fish. They are great for your pond and the bass will eat them up. They get about an inch long and multiply like crazy.

Don't know about a floating blind, but a family friend has a strip of land that backs the nature preserve on the lake. Something about shooting towards the preserve and hunting with in a certain amount of yards from the boundary. So they went out into the lake shooting towards their own property from a pontoon. The big boys never showed, they did get a nice Doe. I'm sure people have hunted from islands shooting towards shore and boats, so a dedicated boat blind, absolutely.
Don't forget to get orange life vests.

Use traps but you can also have target practice. Turtles do fly! Turtles have little claws. They can climb up a board no problem.
Definitely a largemouth. I just looked up largemouth bad fry and that is exactly what they look like. Kinda clear with the lateral line and that silverish spot on their stomach

You will hate the master shower pan sliced rock floor, because the water will pool in the grout. My husband’s a custom home tile installer and has replaced many shower pan floors that had that same tile. Just think about your decision before it’s too late.
Im not sure about your state, but ive never seen a floating deer blind in Canada because its illegal. Just a thought.....

You know a giant log and an AR-15 with a 4x scope accomplishes the same thing in turtle control. We used a Keltec 9mm Carbine and that worked well 98% of the time. The .223 though smacks them and makes a nice pop sound when the shell cracks

They definitely will. I have seen them climb rocks and logs way bigger like they were nothing.
We build traps like this a lot here in Jersey to remove and rehome turtles. You may want to make it a bit shallower. If you are looking to rehome them. The deeper will cause them to struggle and may cause them to drown.

Hey Rob, great vid but Im gonna try and warn you about the floating deer blind. I have a decently large floating dock on a pond, and ive attempted to shoot deer rifles off of it before. Not to say that it can't be done, but even if theres very little wind, any slight movement of the dock makes it very difficult to get an accurate shot with any decent magnification at a distance. When you're looking down that scope, any slight movement of the dock causes the cross hairs to sway which can mean huge error at distance.

In 1980 my Granpa gave me a bolt action .22 to take care of the turtles and Cotton mouths. I was a 10 year old sniper. Still have the rifle in my safe. From Mckinney so probably near your pond.

So I'm the same way with home improvement stores. Problem is when u finally figure out where everything is they change up the location and ur screwed. So I usually just find it on their website and it gives an isle #, almost everytime you do ask for help and nobody knows where it is anyways or what ur talking about.

No one should ever wander aimlessly. Every big box store has a website to tell you exactly where to go. Plus they have this cool thing called signs the beginning and end of every isle telling you where things are

You may want to ask your contractor to start covering your floors. I can't imagine they wont get scratched up with all the debris on there and you still have a ways to go.
That might take care of 10% of the turtles. You are going to have to get turtle traps and put bait in them. No way to get rid of them forever though. But thanks for relocating them and not killing them. If you did it for food, no problem but just shooting them wouldn’t be cool. I like turtles.
Lowe’s app will use your location, it’ll know you’re in a store and will tell you what isle and bay to find the item.

Hey a little tip on the PVC glue once you're done using them turn them upside down and let them sit and next time you use them they won't harden up on you when you go to unscrew them
