    Using Senkos totally changed the game for me. Started fishing them last year and I honestly have them with me every time I'm on the water. Black with blue flake is surprisingly good in a ton of situations. Senkos are the best but YUM Dingers are a great cheap alternative to use when not fishing tourneys. The Senko just has a better rate of fall. Absolutely love this channel!

    I personally have been one of those people that has been hesitant to use senkos because of what you said about it seeming too simple. I actually went to Academy and bought the watermelon red and junebug Yamamoto senkos to try. I also grabbed a Lunker topwater frog. Love the channel!

  • @dobbyrauzer

    Love the new intro!!!
    The colour of a shad sometimrs can make the difference of catching or not catching. Also I think offering a two-tone shad (by use of a dip) is sometime original or new to a fish, this is also a factor. Personally my favourite shad colour in dark waterconditions is yellow.

    As always, great video!
    I've caught my PB on a Zoom Magnum Fluke in pearl with half it's body dipped in chartreuse. I've had mixed results with other dyed baits. I think it does make the white/pearl colors stand out and I've noticed that they change the shade of some of the other non-white baits in the water. Not a bad thing just something to keep in mind. For example, I have a green swim bait trailer on a jig that has it's paddle tail dipped. Looks interesting and I've had bass check it out but not bite.

    I recently started using die and i love it. i dip everything lol. I use it to add a little flash on some baits. Sometimes ill take a q-tip and different color dies and custom die my soft plastics with patterns. I have a methylate that i love dipping the tails of GP brushhogs in and adding some orange to it.

  • @larryelliot7734
    @larryelliot7734 8 років тому

    I'll use the dye every time. Gets finicky fish to moving and they seem to hold the bait. Also, if the water's a bit off color, they seem to find your bait better. I keep at least 2-3 jars in the boat all the time. I also keep a lot of chartruese and white skirts handy. I use it on spinnerbaits, as well.

    Seen plenty of senko comparisons at this point. The one I really want to see is 3/0 vs 5/0 hook. Hell even 3/0 vs 4/0 vs 5/0. I want to really see what the difference underwater is. I know Yamamoto himself says 3/0 so that's what I use. Would love to see it though

    Get spike it! The apart is the best just dip the tails. And yes it does work I fish one of the most pressured lakes in the world and whether is is clear or muddy I spray my tails. Not many people do spray the tails. I have gone behind d people that don't and have caught 10 to 15 right behind then on the same baits.

    i like to dip all white zoom horny toad / ribbit style frogs. just the tips of the legs. and i typically just buy the white, because i agree with you, i could give a shit what the top really looks like. with those soft frogs, they can occasionally flip over, and so if you're using all white, either way, the white is facing down. a little dip on the tips seems to drive the bass at my local pond nuts. they slam them thru matte and pads. pretty rad.

    The senko is so insanely good looking on the way down. I had some 4" senkos which were great but I didn't like the high price. I switched to strike kings version and there is no comparison. The senko is waaaaay better because of the fall rate.

    I love die, also a firm believer in it! you dont have to believe this but i was fishing at my home lake (moss lake nc) and i was using a shakey head dipped in chartruse. so i flip to the outside of a dock get a bite, set the hook, fight fish (small fish), then boat flip him in. so as soon as it gets in the boat he falls into the bottom of the boat so i pick him up and throw him out and go to fix the worm and the hook hadn't even popped out! i didnt hook the fish he was just holding onto that garlic
