- Nicola Yoon discusses “The Sun is Also a Star” at the 2016 Miami Book Fair.
FROM THE PUBLISHER:
Natasha: I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is twelve hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story.
Daniel: I’ve always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents’ high expectations. Never the poet. Or the dreamer. But when I see her, I forget about all that. Something about Natasha makes me think that fate has something much more extraordinary in store-for both of us.
The Universe: Every moment in our lives has brought us to this single moment. A million futures lie before us. Which one will come true?

this was a great book. when it was over i wanted more. i wanted to follow these characters forever.
Hello
I'm a twelve year old girl from Ireland and I started this book today
I'm already on page 225
And I just want to say that is is already one of the best books I have and will ever read
It's on my list of favourite books
Including but not limited to The Fault In Our Stars and Everything, Everything
I know my opinion doesn't and will never matter but I thought that I should express my love for this book so that others whom may be contemplating whether to read this book or not.
But I wish not of anyone to be turned off of the book just because a twelve year old is reading it
It is not a children's book
I just have an appreciation for great literature I guess
RonW 647 Your opinion does matter
I just finished reading the sun is also a star, and before that I read the fault in our stars. I was planning to read everything, everything next so that’s a funny coincidence 😇

Thank you for writing this amazing book. My high school students adore it and it really engaged them which gets harder and harder to do nowadays. Love all the allusions to music, geography, and culture.
I'LL BE HONEST :) WATCHING NICOLA YOONS INTERVIEW MAKES ME REMEMBER THE DAY I BOUGHT HER NOVEL CALLED "THE SUN IS ALSO A STAR". EVERYTHING EVERYTHING IS A NICE MOVIE. IT'S VERY DECENT. AFTER WATCHING THE MOVIE, I BOUGHT "THE SUN IS ALSO A STAR". I LOVE RIVERDALE. CHARLES MELTON AND CAMILA MENDES ARE MY FAVE RIVERDALE CHARACTERS. I CAN RELATE WITH VERONICA LODGE FROM RIVERDALE SERIES. THANKYOU GOD, I'M ALL GROWN UP NOW :) THANKYOU GOD FOR GUIDING ME FROM THE START. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ NICOLA YOON WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED AS ONE OF THE BEST WRITERS. WATCHING THIS INTERVIEW GIVES MY HEART CLAMOUR ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
