That is certainly *NOT* the only time a suspect has died in an interrogation room. The most famous case probably being when a suspect just casually pulled out a full-size pistol that was just tucked in his waistline, put it to his head and pulled the trigger.

      Drives me mad!
It's the hot-headed irrational one's doing it as well, most egregious example I always think of is a prick cop mad a guy didn't leave a gas station fast enough for some weird reason he wasn't told to leave or anything beforehand. The cop then tries to make a stop and starts making demands and guy is recording scared to get out the car. Cop is yelling "get out the car! Get out the car! Hands! Hands! Don't move! Get out the car!" Dude does nothing seeing how irrational cop is and says "I'm not moving until a supervisor gets here" cop responds "you better not move those hands or I'm a blast you"(some threatening words like that)
So which is it do you want him to just show his hands? Move his hands to get out? Or don't move his hands at all or die if he does?
I don't think this gets pointed out enough because no matter how egregious cops act bootlickers love the "he wasn't complying" excuse which 1 doesn't excuse all police brutality and 2 you always have 1 cop yelling different directions how the hell can you follow directions of multiple people yelling different things? I'd love for a cop to show us how to follow conflicting orders with a idiotic hothead pointing a 🔫 at their head! Or how to put your hands behind your back when 3 200LB+ men are on your back pulling your arms in different directions while yelling multiple things.
Or another favorite demonstrate how to follow any order while being tased a function that quite literally stops you from controlling your body and ofc the worst of all when they 🔫 a person 10x and expect them to be able to follow any order when they're DEAD! Oh don't forget them handcuffing riddled corpses because they're in fear of their life something terrible 😢😢😢
Corpses are the biggest dangers to cops they can't take any chances.

Potassium goes first when you're dehydrated from drugs. It is one of the most essential vitamins to muscle function. And your heart is a muscle.. your muscles NEED cellular hydration to function at all. Once its gone your body literally CANNOT function. The reason it doesn't happen as often is because people generally don't take lethal doses of amphetamines and uppers.

I found the EMT's question's really odd. "What do you want us to do for you today?" Is this because of the cost of an ambulance, you have to ask the patient? If that happened here, the EMT would *tell* the patient that they have to go to hospital.

    • @AngelicaRodriguez-mb2ld

I had an EMT ask me this. I had a severe panic attack and a vasovagal response where it felt like my chest was going to implode and I couldn't breathe. By the time the EMT arrived, I was soaking with sweat so bad that they asked if I had just come out of the shower. My blood pressure was low, but it was slowly starting to get better by the time they arrived. And my breathing was returning to normal. They asked me that exact question. Because it no longer appeared as a dire situation as when I called. I decided I still wanted to go to the hospital though - Im glad I did cus my blood pressure plummeted again and I was severely dehydrated.

Unfortunately this happens with people that didn't take drugs and just have a medical issue, more often than you think, because it is usually through a legal eye and scewed view by default. This I say only for the fact that medical and law don't mix well and it can be horrific, it would be like calling the police on someone who had a seizure of instead of medical then leaving them to the fate of the process and all that goes with it while not functioning or able to fend for there selves ect..

You come to not knowing you e came to and in my situation it was at work and and ambulance and fire truck was there. First words I said were , “ wow what happened why are all these responders here? “ Turns out I had a seizure about 30 mins before that was on camera and in front of my co workers. I worked at an aluminum recycling plant so thankfully my guys kept me from falling into molten metal. It’s the weirdest and most scariest feeling in the world where you just start talking like nothing happened only to realize 30-45 mins have passed and a whole series of events have passed and you have no idea not only what happened but how you got where you are. Eventhough I’ve been sober since Jan 28th 2012 every once in a while I still have a random seizure. My brain isnt functioning like it used to. I take meds for it but there’s no real way to stop it if it happens.

So, the whole cocaine guy dying part aside and focusing on the situation with the cops, a problem we have in America is that once a cop is up for review to be investigated for horrible misconduct, they tell them what's about to happen and give them the opportunity to resign or retire without any bad marks on their record. The investigation is halted because he quit so there's no reason to investigate it anymore. Then they just go to the next town over and get a job at a new department and their resume looks great with no problems at all. Cops can literally do this an infinite amount of times and the people tasked with charging them or reviewing a case for termination are usually complicit in all of it. Why else would you give the person a heads up letting them know and then giving them the time and opportunity to quit or retire with high honors and collect their pension. None of it makes sense.

    @shaylablueangel 11 місяців тому +1

I see and hear people saying cops don’t have to use force, it was to much. Most of the time they only mention it when someone dies, sometimes it calls for force right away. If there are reports of violence going on, they come in with force to get the attention focused on them and to actually try and control the situation, to make people stop and think. When the attention is diverted for a split second they jump into action, bringing all to the ground, handcuffed, controlled, then they ask questions. They are not gonna walk up to a situation, and say “ok, what’s going on?” When there is chaos! If the situation isn’t warranted, then you don’t see the “to much force”. They aren’t just walking up to some guy that has a flat tire and throwing him to ground. When cops are called, it’s because something is going down, so yes! They come in there with stern voices, loud voices, hand on weapon or drawn (depending on the circumstances). Can a cop go to far? Of course! I’m sorry, not sorry, that people get hurt by a cop because of a crime they committed. I’m sad that someone died, that’s my heart speaking, (in some cases), but my head is saying, another evil person taken from this world 🤷🏽‍♀️. It’s easy to sit back and look in and say what you would’ve done better or differently. You know that outcome already, but you don’t know that going in, your not in the situation and you have to make a split second decision. I really think there needs to be a better understand towards cops, the good ones. The bad ones, good! Bye! When a cop takes a life, it doesn’t sit well with them, they suffer also. They see the worst or the worst, things we only read about in books, or see on the news.

  • @SparkimusPrime

It IS in the rules. In fact, the deliberate medical neglect or not providing medical attention to a person in custody is constitutionally prohibited under the 8th and/or the 14th amendment. This is similar to the case of Ryan Walker, the guy who had been shot in the face and then interrogated for HOURS with no medical attention, even though it was obvious he had sustained serious injuries. If his family had wanted to sue, they would have almost definitely won. Unfortunately in this case, it lead to the man’s death in 3 days. Then they let those cops resign and keep their pensions instead of firing them. Which happens all the time and is complete fucking bullshit.

You are right. First of all he was trying to smoke crack. They don’t know if he succeeded or not. The idea they know he’s sober and the crack he swallowed is the reason he’s acting like that is not true. They think he is just under the influence of what he used before they arrived. Also this is normal actions of people who are high. The only difference is the seizure at the end. I transport addicts every day and when they are under the i fluency they are often incoherent and showing all these signs. Granted if they seen his swallow the crack they should have acted accordingly. If they knew it. The narrator is adding in his own opinion as if it’s a fact and tainting the entire video. Spinning ever cop action into a negative light and down playing everything the arrested does. Even saying they refused to give him water knowing later in the video they give him water. Only a biased person would do that!

This is negligent, but it's not even close to the extremely egregious stuff out there. The guy narrating is making a lot of assumptions. I'm not sure if you can assume that he swallowed a whole bag of crack vs a rock vs the weed he also had. Yes, it's obviously clear he's on crack, but literally one of the first things he said when he was arrested was that he just smoked crack. Yes, they should have called medics, but him acting high on crack after saying he smoked crack is not weird... If he told them that he swallowed a large amount of crack, then maybe they would have provided medical attention. And of course, the obvious, if he just hadn't made the decision to swallow crack, he wouldn't have died from it....

    Yelling conflicting orders man......
