Fabulous Paul Whitehouse 🤣 One of my favourite sketches is where he is Lance in the fish market! Breaking into fantastic opera after his Annie Lenox attempt at "who's that girl" love you Paul I could watch you everyday 💕
The acting was a joy to watch for a comedy sketch. More comedy series/sitcom standard really. Ted knew the score and was painfully uncomfortable with the lords presence, hence no eye contact 😄, and I felt sorry for the lord who was deeply infatuated with Ted, but very awkward and not knowing how to express his desire without going too far. Got to admit, like Robbie Williams, I didn’t see that punch coming 🤣
The Westlife reference was brilliant! And 'Do you like pop music Robert?', 'I wouldn't know about dat Sor', all with a straight face; I bet the outtakes between the actors were even funnier!
I agree with Johnny Depp. Paul Whitehouse is the best character actor there is. That's why Depp agreed to be in a sketch on the Fast Show. Just so he could say that he'd worked with the best actor in the world. The wide diversity of characters he played on the Fast Show, and every one - even the over-excited teenager or the drunken posh bloke - carries a totally believable weight to them.
I wanna see what happened next. Why can't other sketch shows make such endearing characters as the fast show had? Seriously, there's not a single Little Britain or Catherine Tate character I'd say I actually like.
@swoods002 He does make an attempt for an Irish accent though. I can make out some typical features of it, but I'm not Irish so I can't be the judge of how good a job he does.
Robbie was suddenly seen as the beautiful, perky young seducer who almost lost him Ted. Of course, all that is going on in Ralph's head. It is a very moving, endearing portrait of a sad lonely wealthy man, who cannot even acknowledge his truth The humour is wry and bitter sweet. Far from the straightforward humour of most TV sketch shows. Do you know SMACK THE PONY? It is quite good, too. Not so bitter sweet, but entertaining.
The fast show was fabulous. I miss it
Best sketch show of all time.
Watching a shirtless Robbie Williams doing the gardening is worth the TV licence fee alone
they could of made it a diet coke add for free
@@cookiemichelangelo
"they could HAVE made it a diet coke..." - you semi-literate oik.

That one is etched in my memory! Harry Enfield's great comment at the end; 'You're weird Lance'! 😂😂
I find the Ted sketches very funny and very touching.😊
Addicted to face nappies I see?
Mrs Ted
@Gyppo Thomas Robbie also appeared in little britain
Genius. So English, so E M Forster, so much suppressed emotion.

'accapulco' singing LOL
I do miss the Fast Show, Paul and Harry knew how to write :)
Every sketch was a masterpiece of acting
loved this back then ,love it now ,classy stuff ,funny but poingnant
The Westlife reference was brilliant! And 'Do you like pop music Robert?', 'I wouldn't know about dat Sor', all with a straight face; I bet the outtakes between the actors were even funnier!
In NZ, I've just come across this and love it. "I hear they're very good Acapulco singers"!

Suits u sir
Ooooooohhhhhhh........... Suits you Sir! You'll be having it then Sir! 😉
It ends so abruptly! I wish there was a little follow up to this bit. God, it's unbearably sweet...
Hahaha! That’s the music from Pride and Prejudice. The lake scene☺️
I love that the music is the same as for the shirtless Mr. Darcy 😂
ahw...that's so cute....
hehehe, I really like when Robin said "It's a hole sir" ... :)
Well, I wasn't expecting that, Robbie was great in that early part, really carried the part off well.
I think I might need myself a gardener....my lawn's a mess...LOL
get in the queue he's pruning my bush first
@@lilme7052 LMAO
Robbie Williams reminds me of Scudder from that Hugh Grant/James Wilby classic, "Maurice."
He can do my garden anytime
Very well done. Though... I wouldn't know about things like that, sir.
Robbie Williams looks great.
I want a gardener like that.
Im a recovering alcoholic, will I do?
Ted is his father 😆
Yes, Ted was an excellent gardener.
This is the only performance of Robbie Williams I like.
As long as he doesn't sing, I won't throw up.
Didn't even know who he was before this was on telly.
@@Musingsonthelawofattraction In fairness he sings better than digs. So obvious he has never done a day's work in his life.
@@renatab8293 no he was in take that the day he got his exam results. No time for a job.
why do you guys dislike Robbie so much? He made some really good songs back in the day
Robbie is funny
"Are you... erm... interested in pop music at all?" :D :D
Judging by his singing, no.
@@libbaT oh, very good
No sir.... its just a hole... hahaha i loled XD

Very nice..
I wanna see what happened next.

After Fast Show there really was a noticeable decline in the quality of sketch comedy, Goodness Gracious Me was the only one that came close
Great !!! I've never seen this before ! Robbiie's wellies look too big.....
"Let me entertain you!"
In your own time, Robbie. Sometime this decade would be handy.
Ahh, poor Ted, bless im.
Tickets for westlife !
this is all very well but what about the drainage in the South Pasture?
@swoods002 He does make an attempt for an Irish accent though. I can make out some typical features of it, but I'm not Irish so I can't be the judge of how good a job he does.
I had assumed it was a Yorkshire accent!?
Sounds West Country
It’s a West Country accent
brill😀
Funnyx)
Good look Rob.
Love and Peace
Nanna
@MsScottishLass My lawn's not a mess... but I can make it one! If your garden dosn't need a sexy gardener make it need one!
Seeing as it was for charity, Ralph should have given Robert some 'comic relief' with his hot mouth. 🙂
The young guy sang ' show me the way to Acapulco ' l guess
And that was the last time Robbie dug a hole.
Poor Ted
They always had such a strange relationship
Indeed I do lol
I wanna do Robbie Williams so bad!!!
04:50 ole' Ted gets the push .
Isn't Ralph an uphill gardener?
He definitely is. All the way up.
No he’s not ,he’s just limp under the cap🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
omg!
Until Ralph thumped the new singer…(sorry, gardener), the profound pathos was up there with Broke Back Mountain.
It was all going so well until the punch. Didn't quite understand the reason for that
Because Robbie took his focus of Ted, who he secretly loves 😊
Love? What? Ted was just a better gardener. Jeez, what are you thinking about?
Robbie was suddenly seen as the beautiful, perky young seducer who almost lost him Ted.
Of course, all that is going on in Ralph's head.

And what happened in the end !?.
@hollyrogs Yes - a bit uncalled for!
Reminds me of Prince Harry wandering who his father is?
Have you see Robbie lately
Robbie Williams was taken by UFO
I say Ted??
Thats a cornwall accent not an irish accent
Poor Robbie Williams groomed and then punched in the face he can't help the way he looks.
@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx502 Thank you for your words of wisdom. Could you please also tell us what heterosexual people are?
when was this ?
years ago robs got barely any tattoos
@IngaFrid May I suggest with a .357 Magnum.
Thats the biggest hole RW has dug since rudebox
Ahhh yes back when we were allowed to have a sense of humor
It's an Irish accent
Weird.
Heterosexual men like football.
Not all of them do.
There is nothing more hetro than having a bath with ten other rmen.
gay people are fickle?!
any other sweeping statements or broad generalisations youd like to throw around?
broad generalizations are broadly correct
Just look after those box sets the WOKE BBC will never show the fast show again!
Anyone that uses the word woke in the negative is not worthy of making a comment
Ted scenes are quite disturbingly creepy. Fast forward through those scenes.
Ted says 'Go back to Ireland'? He doesn't have an Irish accent! And honeyjv Robbie Williams DEFINITELY doesn't sound Irish!
this wasnt so funny
