Lordi have perfect choise for covers. I like how Mr. lordi sings passage "Oh, if you see him comin' Get away if you can Just keep on runnin' Run as fast as you can He's a dangerous, dangerous man" He makes that song dynamic. (and whole band, of course). I just like Lordi and this cover. (But Alice Cooper made super song.)
Gwar formed in the 80's and were very popular in for awhile. Lordi said he'd never heard of Gwar until around the time of Get Heavy (which is strange I find). Lordi's music is a mixture of the hard rock style and metal (sort of what Kiss have done on some of their stuff). Also any band that has a shock element to them are clearly inspired by AC since he was one of the first to bring that element into music!
People give Lordi a lot of shit beacuse their look makes them appear more heavy metal than what they sound like, but who the fuck cares? They make some damn good music and thats all that matters to me. Plus any time you can hear this classic Cooper song live nowadays is fucking awesome.
I heard rumors that they wanted to make a Kita like band... the project was abandonned, but could have made a cool band, they would have build a story with those monster coming from another planet, just imagine the guitarist, the singer and the keyboard all of the kind of kita... but with little difference, would have been cool to me

As a huge Alice Cooper fan, I can tell you all that this version of He´s Back SUCKS! The singer (big and scary Mr Lordi) doesn´t have any feeling at all, and destroys the song completely. Also, I think the volume should be the same for all the instruments and the vocals, seems like they maxed vocals, then the guitar is also a bit loud. the song is based on a lot of keyboard, and it doesn´t come through. Watch the Alice Cooper version, then come back and try to prove me wrong.
