  • We loved this car! Can you tell? The 1jz paired with a R154 Trans is just bulletproof and when you put them into a lightweight vintage beast that's a recipe for a good time. We really appreciate everyone who watches and lets us review their cars. There will be so much more to come!

I love that this owner is like me, I know fuck all about big engines, but I've loved the 76 and 77 Celicas since I was a child.
My first project car with my dad was a 77 Celica when I was around 12-14. We chopped it into a hard top convertible in emerald green and let it go, now 15 years later I want a lifelong project and am thinking a classic Celica is right up my alley.

I was bidding on this car and bailed out when it hit 20,000. it just sold for $36,750 a few minutes ago. please build another one, CJ. the buyer has half a million bucks in winning bids on cars on that website and claims he bought it for his 15-year-old expert driver. hopefully that kid won't be dead in 2 weeks. thank you so much you two for driving this car and making a wonderful video on it. I was the winning better on this for several days but like all dreams, they become dreams. I still have more than enough cash on hand to buy this thing but at some point you say no. congratulations to CJ for almost 40 Grand for this car. I hope you had a lot of fun and you can teach others how to stuff that 1JZ into another beautiful Celica. Build more, we will come.

We had a 74 Celica ST Liftback. It is really a great car. A Toyota Workshop got the car from us and restored it over 2 years. But that was a long time ago. But the car still exists❤
And the Car in this Video ist extreme awesome. This would be car exactly made for me. ❤
I bow my head for the owner. Great Work. ❤

Good choice. Nice blue. Sweet ride. I had the short nose gT notch beack pillar-less, had those hood vents, then a 2 litre liftback. They cost me less than 1000, in rhe UK, slightly more power, now, a good one will cost 15,000 at least. In my liftback, the gauges were ugly, the shortnose had great gauges, but yours are in a dufferent league!

I wanted to see how they fit the engine in that car, but I guess the 1JZ is the I6 and the BEAMS is 300# lighter. I've got a 1971 that I was thinking about doing a swap on. It's got the 8RB w/5speed.

My dad bought one in New Orleans straight off the boat. It came with a little toolkit containing all the drivers and wrenches you need for maintenance. It went from him to my oldest sister, oldest brother, middle sister, youngest sister, my youngest brother next to me and then the bastard totaled it. that was 1990. It almost 300k on it and very few original parts. I wish they would just straight up build the exact car again with the minimum upgrades needed to be legal.

APE S I’m located in sylmar ca. It depends of how much body work your car needs. this car needed it a lot of body work and the color was custom so that changes the price... let me know if you want to come to my shop to take a look and I can give you a free estimate at the moment I’m working in a 510 a 240z and a r34, I always try to give good prices..
