I live in California and have only had my car for less than a year. I also keep my car in the garage. I really cant comment about cold weather use, but I will say that many others have installed the same catch can and I have yet to hear anyone complain.
@@alanedmonds8014 Which one did you decide on? There should be some videos on how to install it somewhere on You Tube. The hardest part was getting the dirty side (drivers side) quick release line removed. I jacked up the car and took the wheel and bin off and was able to reach it that way. Some people remove the air box to get to it.

The hardest part was getting the factory line off of the dirty side. After struggling with it for 20 minutes, I had to take the drivers side wheel off and go from underneath. Otherwise, not too bad.

The catch can is more of an extra insurance modification. It catches the oil vapor that would be sucked into the turbo, which keeps your system running cleaner. If you plan on keeping the car long term then I would definitely get one.
How is the catch can during long outdoor winter seasons. Assuming you live in a very cold region.

It seems really annoying and not easy to empty it out?
I usually do it when I change the oil. Not really difficult at all.

Unfortunately, no. That was my first mod and I had not started my channel at that time.
