    Man completely changed the culture. Rams were an utter embarrassment as a franchise for years before he came in. Now we've been a a consistently winning program with 2 Super Bowl trips and one beautiful trophy to show for it.
    God bless McVay.

    Love how mcvay turned this franchise around as well as opened the doors for young coaches in a league that only ever hired older coaches for their “experience” regardless of their actual performance

      it is wild in the coaches' film session in this video that McVay, LaFleur, and Zac Taylor are all in there. 2 coaches in the Super Bowl and the other with a 39-10 record over first 3 seasons, all young talented coaches under the age of 45 that fit the mold you mention

    • @terryjt1
      @terryjt1 2 роки тому +1

      The original McVay staff was extremely experienced. Six position coaches had previously been coordinators. And Wade Phillips was the DC. It was McVay, LaFluer, Zac Taylor way down the line as the assistant WR coach, and a bunch of older guys. And staff has progressively gotten younger over the years

      @@terryjt1 true. McVay might not the best out of his own group with Shanahan leading the charge, but he’s willing to learn from experience staffs while letting young coaches develop created a healthy environment for other teams to poach their staffs. I don’t think there’s any young coach who’s able to build a coaching tree as quickly as McVay.

      I mean, that's great I guess, but it all comes at a cost most aren't willing to pay. To be a coach in the NFL is EXTREMELY stressful with insane pressure to win. There is very little rest at the head coach position. Its a very hard job that requires an impressive level of resolve. Life is good when its, good, but when its hard, well... as an NFL coach, it's extremely fucking hard.
      But if he really loves what he does and enjoys the perks his work's gotten him, that's a blessing.

      Scott Pagels I thought that teams couldn't leave a city if said city supports the team and offers to build them a fucking stadium for pennies basically. And I thought it would be impossible for that team to build their own stadium in a different city while the original city was fighting like hell to keep the team. And then the team torches any memory of the original city . and assures any fan not in LA that they'll feel gross just watching them. I guess we all learned something today. Good luck , the team is cursed as long as Stan kronke is owner. So much bad karma.

    • @scottpagels3133

      Bryant, what the hell are you rambling about?

    • @benkizer9509
      @benkizer9509 7 років тому +30

      Oh you mean like how Los Angeles was the home to the Rams for almost 50 seasons, then were ripped out of the city by a bad owner who ran the team into the ground, moved them to her hometown which gave her basically a free stadium on the tax payers dime, had about 3 good seasons in 20 years before the owner croaked and the new owner decided to move them back to the second largest city in the country. The Rams are much more of a L.A. team than they ever were a St. Louis team. They should have never left L.A.

    • @scottpagels3133
      @scottpagels3133 7 років тому +10

      Bryant Mcelroy If you want to bash the Rams, that's fine. Not sure why you choose my post to do it but ok. As for the Rams, just like any team, the fact that you always follow the money is where sports is at. Kronke isn't an idiot, LA is where the money is at and honestly, it is where the team belongs. The new stadium in St. Louis was never going to be a revenue generator that the team needed. I've been close to events, I've seen both offers, even the other owners knew it was such a great deal for LA. All of them would want the deal for themselves. 3 billion deal, each owner makes money on the relocation knowing San Diego or Oakland would go too, they knew the LA market could support a team regardless of the contrary, and LA fans deserved their Rams back. Go cry a river somewhere but this was a good deal. All the way around.

This coach has an excellent coaching staff, and he is an Offense minded coach! This leader has a young team that can rally around his vision! Ain't going to be no 50% win-loss year in 2017, no sir. Sean McVay will take this young team as far as it can possibly go in 2017, and with a little luck (read:minimal injuries to key players) we just might make the playoffs: Quote me!.

    Jeff Fisher was "an NFL Coach" .... he can make you go 8-8 on a good year, but outside of that, the growth was player lead, not him....the beauty of this move is that McVay isnt just a coach, he's a true leader of men, he's keeping his self expectations high and being accountable to his players- he has a vision for Rams football and is still rapidly growing and asking players to grow with him- he's a teacher and a true leader

      the rams never had the talent on offense when he was there, i'm sure he had some fault for that same with the gm and owner.

    The rams are who they because of this guy. Goff is who he is because of this guy. Fisher didn’t even want to play Goff because he wasn’t ready. McVay knew how to get Goff ready.. a lot of respect for Mcvay

    Coming from a niners fan you guys may have gotten a steal in this guy i am almost 30 McVay is a bit older than me but I hope he can show the NFL you don't have to be 50 to be a good coach young guys can be just as good I am niners fan to the core but I think mcvay will be a breath of fresh air for rams fans good luck guys :)

    This dude ressurected the Rams after the "Greatest Show on Turf" 1999-2001 which the team was SuperBowl champs and highest scoring team, the team became a laughing stock 2-14, 5-11, 7-9 and Jeff Fisher had the talent on defense but could not do anything on offense this young man comes in and makes the team high scoring and contenders and went to the SuperBowl is just Sean went one on one against a defensive Goru in Bill Bellicheck cause Wade Phillips held that defense up against Tom Brady but the offense didn't show up, Sean is a good coach his Read Motion West Coast Offense is a great playbook he took what he learn from Jon and Jay Gruden as an assistant and Offensive Coordinator and created his own west coast offense and is a deadly offense now he has a new challenge in 2021 with a new QB

      +imnotgay_butineedthemoney Yeah....it's very unlikely for a team to go from 4-12 to playoffs in two years. I'm a Patriots fan, from New England, but live on the LA/Ventura county line--so, I am pulling for the Rams, too. (I couldn't care less about the Chargers)...but, the Rams need a lot of work. I mean, a lot.

      Uncle Rich that’s true for McVay but I think anyone can relate to the players if they show up to work with fire and passion for the game of football. Jeff Fisher wasn’t a good coach because he didn’t inspire any of his players and they sucked because of it
