- NEW AURELION SOL ULTIMATE BUFF - League of Legends. Aurelion Sol just got some pretty big changes to every ability on the PBE, with more Q mana cost, longer W cast range, lower E mana cost and damage buffs for his R!

being honest as a sol main for this season , the q nerf is huge , in early game is the best way to proc comet and harass. in late game its used for slow and quick burns . in early game is used to proc also the mana flow band which pretty much is a necessity for early game .
again, another dragon gets nerfed

as asol player in d1/master i guarantee you q taps nerf is huge for lane, especially into bad matchups. Can't proc comet/manaflow/scorch as easy without going oom and generally if the opponent plays well you are never allowed to full WQ in their face without getting punished. Though the W base range increase adds a lot more early game map presence so let's see... E minion nerf kinda bad into some stuff but generally not as relevant as q taps and Ult buffs were not needed i feel. Appreciate the dmg boost whatsoever 😈

That "nerf " you mention for asol players is big cause they tend to spam it so they kite with rylais while procing burn effects like liandrys or torch giving them the option to deal dmg while moving without using their W.
Thats late game and doesnt really affect him substantially at that point. The real nerf is to early game laning phase. Huge nerf to any rank where min maxing during laning matters
Feels more like a nerf for lane. Gonna squew his kit even more for late game
it's mainly a nerf because they're removing some of his abusable gimmicks but giving him more stability with w getting good range regardless and ult having more base damage.

Also the gimmick was more of a knowledge check than actual skill expression.

- A little more base AD is the only thing you have useful in early.
It's like kayle but even more massacrating, since at least she has her passive that makes her become viable in late game.

Kayle is decent mid game if u build AD at least, she got dmg and useful ult. Asol can only hope his teammates got his ass carried to late game cuz mid game his dmg is so ass compared to other midlaners

its been said a lot but that Q tap is a massive nerf, the buffs he got doesn't even compensate.
When do they fix the janky Q movements when you move your mouse too quickly?
Edit: I am not asking to remove the rotation speed guys. When you move your mouse, the game appears to have a very low refresh rate for where the spell should go. Which means there can be a significant delay between when you move the mouse and when the spell will start to rotate to the new location. This is what I'm asking to fix.
The same issue is present when moving your champion around by holding right click, very low refresh rate and janky movements.

Mate, do you know how broken that is if you can just snap his Q to a different direction? You can't even try to dodge it now.
The Q needs a rotation speed or it would act as an aimbot. It's better that way.

Bring back his rotating stars as additional vfx ..to be fair don't add damage on it..
And to the black hole.. it's better when it's slightly moving like a black hole moving around the universe
1) There will be A LOT of confusion when playing against him
2) It will make the black hole much more inconsistent. Yes, it will be a good waveclear ability, but it will be easier to walk away from it, if moving towards it and it can mess up grouping the cc-ed enemies by moving them. Imagine your Amumu hits a 5 people ult, you cast your E to pull them together, cast your ult to extend the cc duration... and right before it lands your E drags them away from the epicenter
I am an old Asol player and I still don't understand why people keep asking for this ghost stars change. Do you realize how confusing it'd be for the opponent when they see these stars that do nothing floating around? They might try to dodge just out of instinct. Which gives him a very inconsistent advantage, against veterans they do nothing, against low ranks and noobs it throws them off, so a balancing nightmare just for a visual effect. No thanks.
Also, there is enough visual clutter in this game, I can already barely see the teamfights, don't add ghost stars to the mix.
But I liked spamming his Q. I was giving the enemies the HAWK TUAH.
It actually worked really well just to slow them with Rylais. It's not that small of a nerf. But the buffs are pretty substantial so I can't complain.

The Q tap is a huge nerf btw it turned him into a lane bully in apex tiers and pro cus of scorch and comet

This looks like a nerf to me. Q tapping is one of his best tools for chasing targets, kiting targets, poking and trading in lane.
The other abilities are basically the same, with slightly better numbers, but that honestly just seems like a compensation, to his earlygame getting a hard hit.
About ASol changes: they should fix his Q bugs. Sometimes you hold it nothing comes out sometimes you let go it doesnt stop. Also using W interrupts the Channel on Q proc damage. Also also he dont need buffs he is fine just the meta is not good for him. Leblancs zeds ahris everywhere

W range doesnt really matter cause you use it in lane to reset Q and have to stop at the enemy turret :T guess we can fly back a bit faster to lane. During mid/late you should allready have a lot of stacks so that small range buff is nothing
E mana buff is nice but since you use Q more like a second aa it wont feel like you will have more mana. Also it no longer stopping summoned units is kinda a big deal in somematchups like Annie Yorick which were allready hard enough :T
R is a nerf :c it was important to stun and combo with holding Q during the stun to get some kills on mobile threats like LB. which we can now do less often. the 100 damage dont matter when everyone has not 600 hp but 1.3k and will only be worse the more everyone levels/buys items

I kind of wanna know why they are making these changes. Maybe they just want to remove some of the gimmicky play patters with Q tap and instead reinforce the core fantasy of holding Q and flying/stacking?

He deserved I think. It's not like he has infinite stack, no skills shots, a spell that cover half of the map and can kill you by pressing Q during 1,5 sec. Clearly not strong enough.

Q taps removed is basicly the biggest nerf u could give asol qtaps is literally the difference between a good or bad asol and now its basicly just indirectly removed + idk how 1200->1500 is double? Even at max lvl it is +700 which is way closer to x1.5 and the r2 got partial dmg scaling nerfed which makes the rbuffs half a buff. idk how we are representing this as huge buffs by just straight up lying?

There are way too many champs that can simply walk away, hide between minions, etc.
It's way too situational and you need to understand way too much your damages and trade potentials with so many different champs.

Yes, because Aurel really needed buffs lol. As for the Q nerf that does seem like itll hurt his lane phase trading pretty bad but I think it wont matter late game when youre not doing short trades. Overall, this entire buff feels unnecessary. As someone else said, he must be getting a skin.
This champ rework is a major failure, just gut this broken shit and rework to a proper champion that can be balanced.

Is there a display bug or something? The buffed version of Skies Descent shockwave damage is supposedly the same as Falling Star's damage, but somehow the tooltip is showing a lower number of bout 20% reduction from Falling Star's OG damage.
Kind of feel like this isn't "HUGE BUFFS" but rather adjustments nerfing both Q and E in certain ways.

Tbh those changes are unexpected, he was doing fine, the only thing i would adjust on him was to make him unstoppable during W flight, this alone could solve any win rate problem
