I'm a veteran with PTSD and Teemo has always been my favorite champ because of his story. I was a little upset to see his story is changing, but one of the first skins I ever bought was Omega Squad Teemo so I'm glad they're at least leaving the story in tact there.

Its sad that teemo lose his killer, scary, side he that was the thing that differentiates him from other yordles. Looking like a normal yordle cute fluffy but a proffesional deadly soldier it was a cool and different gimmick for him.
Have to say, taking away Teemo's rank of Captain because it's "to aggressive" sounding is dumb, Because I associate it with Boat captain; a person that have responsibility for something. I believe Kled is like 600 ot 700 years old since he fought in the Fix Noxian War. He is after all the oldest Yordle now. Poppy was wandering and met Orlon before the established Demacia. So she should be around 300 years old.

Wish they wouldve kept the dark background and just explained it as thats what he had to turn into during a yordle war he forgot about since he already seems to have forgotten alot anyways. And then when they wouldve ASU'd corki they couldve made him a veteran of that war and expanded on that side of teemo through their interactions. Teemo forgetting it as a coping mechanism while Corki beign the polar opposite and not being able to let go couldve contrasted well imo.
They don't want to risk with controversial subjects like mental health issues and such cuz of the pushback they received from that seraphine twitter drama.

Entire playthrough, hell a whole race + class combination just focused on that, you dismiss everything else, raids, dungeons, etc and just go do your own thing, collecting badges. A game within a game, once you get parts of them, you unlock new gear, like a grappling hook to get to new places, etc. to incentivize returning back to places you've been. And after you collect them all you unlock a new class, the "Combat Scout" class, and you can choose to freely switch to the Scout combat/scouting version at will. The combat version will start at level 0 and you have to play the "general" content for leveling but with this new unique class. You can literally approach the entire game in a whole new manner compared to everyone else. You can even lure in casuals that don't usually care/play MMOs to start as a scout and explore the world/do unique things to get badges. It would be so weird/fun to see everyone else fighting mobs, pvping each other and you're just there, roaming around. Of course you can still be attacked and killed, but in the scout mode you should have way more movement options and escapes compared to every other class in the game, you're not meant to fight.

Not all players, just the yordle race should have that option to become a scout, and after a certain amount of badges you unlock some unique stuff to scouts alone, like a grappling hook for traversal, etc. Riot MMO really needs to stand out among MMOs, that means every race and class needs to have gameplay stuff unique to them and only them, even if this means not everyone can access all content.
I like this Imagine once you finish the tutorial of the mmo they will open up the book that teemo lost in bilgewater as a achievement book of the badges we collected throughout the game.

I dont think Riot knows what to do with Corki yet since they dont want to militarize Yordles, and Tristana's entire arc is that she created a defense force for Yordle City after seeing how vulnerable Bandle City is if discovered by the rest of the factions so Tristana is "against the grain" on purpose.

I kinda dont like that they changed his lore away from his darker side, omega squad felt like a direct evolution of teemo from his base skin. Why can't cute characters be deadly and dark too? Feels like they just tie him down with this race and dont diversify yordles. "They all have to be cute"

Captain is not a military title? It's used by military but is also used to denote the leader of a ship or airplane. The Captain of the Cruise Ship you're on isn't in the military and probably never has been. That's such a weird change and reason.

They are kind of like Tom Bombadil from LOTR which I really like. Another exception to that rule would be Heimerdinger.

ok hear me out. teemo, for all we know, could be a genuinely ancient being, right. now oral history is fairly unreliable and prone to distortion. my new headcanon is that teemo's lost copy of the bandle scout rules (rules that are kind of just about living life in a *good* but not necessarily *lawful good* way as leaving the world in a better place than one found it could realistically mean breaking laws that would otherwise force one to live badly, i'm sure you can think of an example from history) went on to be moderately corrupted into whatever illaoi's religion is. illaoi preaches "motion", which can mean all sorts of things. the literal interpretation would certainly fit with the "seek out every rock and tree" rule, and even the more metaphorical (and obviously intentional) interpretation as going and exploring new things is kind of the opposite of the stagnancy illaoi rails against. also one of illaoi's titles is the "truth bearer of nagakabouros" which fits in with the 4th rule about being honest. the only gap in this is the whole "kindness" thing, and while illaoi definitely isn't kind, but you could also see that as the ends justifying the means - leaving the world a better place by killing people who aren't kind. oh and also fluffy is nagakabouros. she eats souls (or, spirits i guess but same thing) and fluffy was a soul devouring sea worm. only minor hang-up is that fluffy is male but hey nagakabouros has a beard, maybe eldritch deities are beyond mortal gender definitions.
Whenever they do a rework like this, they should make the old version into an either free or costing blue essence, skin. Just to preserve art, and for all the people who like the old version better,

Teemo's old lore was that he was a super chipper and friendly guy unless he was on a scouting mission at which point he became War Crimes incarnate. He was basically Canada.
Regarding the yordle rules, it'd be super cool to see some mini animations produced by riot just depicting Teemo's misadventures resulting in the creation of a new rule. It'd be cool if it was like a consistent series but maybe one would be cool too. That way we'd get a feel of the scouts code and why it is the way it is in canon.
The scoutbook leading to new lore is interesting, I think it could be used to tie Fizz to the other yordles, by making him and teemo meet and they talk about the code, maybe even a lore rework for fizz who knows. I also think that a Yordle Hunter could be interesting, they find the scoutbook and try to capture teemo or something. It defo sets up a lot of lore possibilites
i feeling noone is talking about how isha could be teemo, spoilers: she is basically expoling himself with warwick in the end of act 2 which makes me think there will be some sort of transforming into a small wolfy thing, (with hextech shot ) also teemo doesnt remember his past sus?? buying off mushrooms from piltover? also in one of the interviews with christian linke, he answered a question where he said they wanna tell more fun stories about the lol universe in future series so that made me thing there might be connection from isha to yordles for the future series? maybe im just rambling plz someone tell me im not alone. only thing that I think this would not be the case is that teemo is really old...

Isn't it fine for him to say captain teemo? I always took that as a kid playing adult. he could call himself captain teemo... without actually being a captain. Kind of like how the yordle mayor pretends to be a mayor.

I like the old lore more. A cute fluffy thing playing boy scout while being a deadly cold blooded military trained assassin protecting all the yordles is hilarious. Now he is nothing special.
I kinda dont like that they changed his lore away from his darker side, omega squad felt like a direct evolution of teemo from his base skin. Why can't cute characters be deadly and dark too? Feels like they just tie him down with this race and dont diversify yordles. "They all have to be cute"

The timeline where teemo was once a yordle soldier and was so good at war he started the scouts as an elite group but he's so old they've become literal boy scouts of runeterra and he completely forgets all his sins and transgressions is the lore I'm craving

@@MrTremorox I actually like that though. Yordles are those overpowered entities from a secret realm in a parallel dimension that nobody else can access with a carefree and unconcerned mindset. They are kind of like Tom Bombadil from LOTR which I really like.

Just saying, Noxians treat their basilisks really bad, so that when they go to war, they destroy everything they find, enemies and allies. So, yeah, Teemo basically just anihilated a Noxian war camp without even knowing it

ok hear me out. teemo, for all we know, could be a genuinely ancient being, right. now oral history is fairly unreliable and prone to distortion. my new headcanon is that teemo's lost copy of the bandle scout rules (rules that are kind of just about living life in a *good* but not necessarily *lawful good* way as leaving the world in a better place than one found it could realistically mean breaking laws that would otherwise force one to live badly, i'm sure you can think of an example from history) went on to be moderately corrupted into whatever illaoi's religion is.
illaoi preaches "motion", which can mean all sorts of things. the literal interpretation would certainly fit with the "seek out every rock and tree" rule, and even the more metaphorical (and obviously intentional) interpretation as going and exploring new things is kind of the opposite of the stagnancy illaoi rails against. also one of illaoi's titles is the "truth bearer of nagakabouros" which fits in with the 4th rule about being honest.
the only gap in this is the whole "kindness" thing, and while illaoi definitely isn't kind, but you could also see that as the ends justifying the means - leaving the world a better place by killing people who aren't kind.
oh and also fluffy is nagakabouros. she eats souls (or, spirits i guess but same thing) and fluffy was a soul devouring sea worm. only minor hang-up is that fluffy is male but hey nagakabouros has a beard, maybe eldritch deities are beyond mortal gender definitions.

The other part of his Lore its that the mushrooms were like meth in a black market operation in Zaun
they removed/toned down teemo's darker side.... I loved that part of him. in fact that was the main point I enjoyed. fucking riot.

Regarding the yordle rules, it'd be super cool to see some mini animations produced by riot just depicting Teemo's misadventures resulting in the creation of a new rule. It'd be cool if it was like a consistent series but maybe one would be cool too. That way we'd get a feel of the scouts code and why it is the way it is in canon.

The scoutbook leading to new lore is interesting, I think it could be used to tie Fizz to the other yordles, by making him and teemo meet and they talk about the code, maybe even a lore rework for fizz who knows. I also think that a Yordle Hunter could be interesting, they find the scoutbook and try to capture teemo or something. It defo sets up a lot of lore possibilites
