Yeah, you should have got a forged crank for the 5.7. Anything over 600rwhp needs it. The block itself is good for 1000hp (besides stock internals) bear in mind it is Aluminium, weaker than the Iron block
Awesome car brother! I love the color also. Have you tried MT ET Streets SSs? I had the NittoNT 555Rs on mine and i would spin in 2nd. With a little heat in them the MT will hook in first. Mine is sitting at 730rwhp right now on 93 octane and 15-16 psi. New subscriber
I'd love to hear your thoughts on buying a C5 vs C6 for a non car guy. I'm in my 40s and most of my career has been heavy tech and business I'm not a mechanic by any stretch or owned sports cars. Wife and I bought a 24 ZL1 thinking it looked good and would be a great "get into cars" kind of thing, new no issues right not something I had to learn to work on. We sold it immediately after the dealer mark ups hit and made $ on it. I'm not interested in flipping cars but I am interested now in corvettes after having a something so fast like the camaro and getting to ride in a C6 here locally that had a supercharger on it, I don't know the brand but it scared me to death and was amazing felt more raw than the car we bought. We'd like to buy a 5 or 6 and have a speed shop just take it and do fun stuff to it but we are getting mixed responses from people on which to buy for upgrading. You seem to know what your talking about so just curios of your response on it from the perspective of a new buyer.

I talked to you a while back about building an engine and you recommended Broc in Granger for machining. My 01z now has a built 383 and I just put a v3TI on it. The car is getting a tune soon and hoping to have around 600hp for the beginning on a 4" pulley. Will I be able to hook well? I have a pilot sports rn. Any recommendations for a wheel setup? I plan on changing the setup in the summer and would like to hook up in 2nd most of the time.
I have an 01Z as well. H/C longtubes and also a V3ti. I'm running a 3.8" (9lbs according to the guage) and also have a 3.90 rear. I'd guess I'm around 610rwhp. 2nd gear is worthless at full throttle. I have Toyo R888Rs 305 30 19s. 3rd gear, good pavement on a warm day will hook from 4k all in.

Go fore innovations fuel setup u cant go wrong sir. All in tank no booster pumps or drilling. A lil pricey about 2k ish but ur very good
