I suppose the dig race clips I have must be fake hellcats than
@@PerformanceOnWheels no, from a dig, it's possible depending on the tires on the hellcat and the driver...that doesn't make the C5 an objectively "as fast" car ... a hellcat is doing high 11's low 12's at 125+ easily on street tires... its going to be trapping atleast 10 mph faster than a C5 Z, that is a huge difference. C5 Z average driver on street tire is doing mid to upper 12's @ 114-116...go to a track and a lot of people are doing upper 12's. I'm a C5 Z owner
@@PerformanceOnWheels power to weight ratio is about 25% better in the hellcat as well.
I’ve had the opportunity to race 3 from a dig and each opportunity I’ve had I’ve beat them until about half way down the strip.
In this video there’s a clip of me going up against a redeye super stock with the slicks on the back. As you can see that one was a 1/8 mile and I had him until right at the finish.
The main issue is putting the power down is a lot easier to do in the corvette than a hellcat.
Steering like a “log wagon”
Its a shame the hardtop coupe style is so hideous.
That’s how I feel about the c5 coupe :/
@@PerformanceOnWheels So you hate all of the C6's and C7's? lmao they went with that style cause its far better looking. Notice how the C5 Z06 hardtop coupe was the only corvette to ever have that body style lol. Cause it's atrocious lol
@ImJustCreepin I believe the c5 coupes lines never looked right to me. The other generations looked proportioned better in my opinion. The hatch looks to big in a lot of angles on the c5 in my eyes. They never did that design again because they figured out how to add more rigidity to the hatch like design. While still being light with the large piece of glass
@@PerformanceOnWheels I can kind of see where you're coming from. To each their own I guess!
Yea I feel the opposite the C5 Z06 looks the best to me.
My gt3 is the greatest car I will ever buy so… misleading title
Super misleading comparing a quarter of a million dollar car to a $25k one
@@PerformanceOnWheels should have named it best car you will ever buy under $25k even then probably a lot of other options that would do as good or better. Misleading title if you didn’t want compare it to all cars then but I get what you’re saying lol.
No, the best cars I own are a twin turbo Lamborghini Huracan and a Porsche 911 Twin Turbo S Awd & 4 wheel steer!!! Don't think that Z06 would stand a chance!
Lol
After he buys his c5 Z06 and spends $20k for it all he needs is another $10k and he's most definitely smoking both your Porsche and your Lamborghini
@@raulsanchezjr4048 Yes, of course. And when will it break down? 20 miles down the road?!! How about build quality or fit and finish?!!
I want GM to succeed as much as all you Corvette fans but until they step up their game and build a quality car at world class level, you guys and just dream about owning a Porsche or a Lambo!
Porsche and Audi (the owner of Lamborghini) both have significant championships in the LMP class in the 24 hrs of Le Mans. If you think those folks don't know what they're doing, clear your schedule for the 2024 race next year and buy a ticket and go there to see for your self. GM by the way, has NEVER even entered the LMP class because they can't compete at that level! Yes, the Corvette has won many at the lower class level and that's fine.
@LWRC but you dont own anyone of them so i guess you can keep dreaming
@@JB-ej8zy Sure homeboy! You keep dreaming considering you didn't finish high school and can't comprehend the technical part!
Wears a Ford tee while reviewing a Chevy. What a tool.
Nailed it. Been waiting for you for years.
Negative, a Lexus LFA would be better
Nah just buy a formula 1 car
Stoopid take
No man, a spaceship would be better..
Go ahead! Spend $440k on one car! He buys his $25k c5 zo6 and with another $10-12k would smoke your LFA and homeboys Porsche and lambo!!!
It's a Chevy LMAO 0 RELIABILITY. An IS500 would even be better. ✌️
Should have kept it stock
I enjoy it way more as it sits
The car looks fantastic. Would no change a thing.
