What's crazy is she had a drum less track and had to come up with her own track, she wasn't supposed to play what they did just her own version and she killed it
My favorite thing is that she seemed to be having a lot of fun and it looked like she was trying to break the skins. Her stamina is really great too. She kept up and kept kicking.
She's mostly a pop drummer that currently has a gig on a local TV show band. What I like about video like these is that it tries to pull drummers out of their comfort zone. This particular one also shows that you don't need a big kit to sound awesome.
I have no idea about drums but this was soooo entertaining to watch. In the beginning she seems struggling but once she commits, her energy is just amazing. Even without any background you can tell she must be very very good to be still coming out smiling after all this. Spreading such positive vibes, I love it!
This is such a good song, one of my Slipknot favorites! Domino is French Canadian, from Montreal. I definitely agree, she did pretty awesome going into this not knowing the song, not getting to hear the drums and just improvising something that works with it! Would love to hear her do a another take on this after having actually learnt the song properly.
She's so good! Think she's a Pop drummer mainly, Theres another Drumeo vid where she get one of the other drummers to do another slipknot song, can't remember which one now, but that was really good as well, well worth a check out!
Honestly, her tom work on the intro and outro to me sounds WAY better. And I prefer her halftime/normal time alternation in the bridge too, the original halftime tom bridge drumming sounds too 90s rock
When I first found the Drumeo channel...I was thrilled at the quality of people they showcased...to find out they are literally a 10 minute drive from my home was a nice touch. Domino, Dorothea Taylor and other folks through there studios showing raw talent...just awesome to see.
So when I'm hearing you say "that was supposed to be open hi-hat" or something along those lines, it's like you're missing the real point of this exercise. It's not about trying to re-create what the original drummer wrote how how that original drummer might approach it. It's about seeing what a drummer from a different style and genre might hear differently and how they are interpreting the song. All of those videos from Drumeo are absolutely class!
Seen slipknot live 7 years ago today on Halloween I don't care about Halloween but when I heard they had a show on in Australia that night I was definitely going to it
Love old slipknot, like S/T and Subliminal Verses and i dont mind their newer albums but i hate how their members are being treated... Jay was such a good fit for the band :(

She’s so good. Beautiful. Crazy talent. She’s fun to watch. Once she settles into a groove she’s wild.
So she's been drumming since 16 years old and is now 29 so nearly 15 years. Also she's a pop drummer primarily :) She did extremely well!
she was born in '92, she's 31 now

I remember being absolutely slack jawed the first time I saw this - amazing ability to write in fill just by feeling the intended groove
She is great, and just so cute! You can't help bit to smile watching all the gears turning in her head.
For a pop drummer to improvise on a metal song which she just heard is pretty amazing

I saw this video before, but after you said she's more of a pop drummer, now im really very impressed with her session
This is such a good song, one of my Slipknot favorites!

Same!! Hopefully we get to see it!
yessir im from Montreal
Her drumming and attitude are great.

She is very very good!
yeah she gets her revenge on the main guy with the glasses, david or something idk, where she lets him play a slipknot song
When I saw this for the first time a few months back my first reaction was, is she looking for a band? Girls hella talented.
Many aspects of her version I like better than the original.
Honestly, her tom work on the intro and outro to me sounds WAY better. And I prefer her halftime/normal time alternation in the bridge too, the original halftime tom bridge drumming sounds too 90s rock
That's because it is 90's rock...
@@devingarrett5800 Since when did 2004 become the 90s?
@@franohmsford7548 slipknot debuted in '99... 90's metal.
That half step change and those floor tom fills were NICE. You gotta give it up to her. She slays this.
She’s amazing!
She's ducking NAILED it!
I think it sounds good with the toms
SAME!

Slipknot is AWESOME. I especially love the album that Before I Forget was on... She did an amazing job! Love it
By the 3rd take, she does this crazy bass drum, bass tomb mid tomb roll
Colby,,, this beautiful talented young lady is Canadian, from right here in Montreal Canada 🇨🇦, and yes, she’s a gem on a drum kit!!!
She was amazing! The good review Colby
Thank you 🙏
That breakdown with the tom is so good though.
The fills are what really impressed me the most.
Slipknot is my favorite heavy metal band. And Domino does a really good job here also. 🙂
i love your videos man , hi from spain
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻👋🏻

Exactly
She’s in the pocket doing her thing. Love it.
She has an accent because she is a french Canadian from Montreal, Quebec. Really fun to watch her.
Seen slipknot live 7 years ago today on Halloween I don't care about Halloween but when I heard they had a show on in Australia that night I was definitely going to it
Magnifique superbe .bravooo..
Bro, you need to do a reaction to Larnell Lewis on both his Snarky Puppy "Lingus" track and some of his "Zildjian Live" stuff. Epic and unmatched.
@5:19 I believe she’s from Montreal, Canada so more than likely French will be her 1st language.
This might be the best drumeo blind.
This was remarkable
I'd love to see video of Slipknot or at least Jay reacting to this!
Not sure where @buddhamonk got his info but she's from Montreal.
She’s from Canada.
Bruh she’s a drummer. Period.
I actually enjoyed the tom work.
She’s from Montreal so she has a french accent
Love old slipknot, like S/T and Subliminal Verses and i dont mind their newer albums but i hate how their members are being treated... Jay was such a good fit for the band :(
Bruh she doesn’t need luck she has skills
I think she's French-Canadian. Montreal I think.
She’s from Brazil. Epic personality… definitely a great watch
On the accent - she’s Quebecois
you critique her like shes covering it. who cares if she has a slip up
RIP JOEY
Am a die hard slipknot fan have been from the start amazing band but a lot off controversy in the band at the moment
Lars Ulrich- easy
No double bass pedal, either…
French canadian girl ❤❤❤
You keep saying its not "part of the song" but like, it isnt supposed to be. She hasnt heard the drums so she has to create her own part lol.
She's good, impressive without hearing the drums
Are you trying to say you don't have heavy accent?
That song may have worn her out, but that chick don't f**k around.
She did so good and served the song so well but is yet so disappointed.
Can you pause it talk if you're going to talk all the time? or at least talk less. So annoying.
did you see megadeths dummer do my brightside
