I honestly just realized that the soundtrack for this is the same from the original stop motion! This is amazing, it inspired me to make my own! She’s in the oven rn and she’s all clay and wire so far this is so cool!

Oh wow this is brilliant! I myself am fairly new to the stop motion animation scene, and while I have built some basic armatures before, I always find that the wire limbs break really easily, which then makes it difficult to replace them to continue animating, without damaging the rest of the puppet. May I ask how you get around this issue? Like for this particular puppet, are you able to remove the limbs from the wooden 'joints' to replace them if necessary, and if so how do you do this? In my own armatures, I have used tiny metal couplings for the joints and wire for the rest, but the former is incredibly difficult to get hold of and they are much more awkward to work with compared to other materials

Awesome video, and a beautiful creation. Do you bake the head? If so, do you have any tips to avoid bubbles? Through pure luck, the first head I made for my puppet came out perfect. Then, I started messing with its head, and at some point, I chipped the clay. Ever since, I can’t get another head to come out to save my life. Every time I try to bake the heads now, I get horrible bubbles. I’ve used different types of clay and tried all sorts of strategies. I’ve used liquid clay on the wood first. I bought a pasta maker to better condition the clay. But I haven’t had any luck :-(
If you have any tips, please share them. Either way, thanks for sharing this awesome video
