I love it! I really like how you finished the eyes. I've been struggling with how I should approach my characters and your video inspired me to follow your technique. I think I viewed it about 4 times now.
Holy crap that's so cute. I'm about to start a claymation process but I don't like the way clay characters look and have been struggling with it. Dude you just changed the way my entire movie will look, I love it so much, love the fabric look, love love love!! Not sure why it didn't occur to me before, so thank you so much for this tutorial. Your work is incredible BTW, so much detail ahhhhh
Perhaps pining the eyebrows in instead of glueing them? That way you can pivot them and get a much wider array of emotion. This is a beautifuly sculpted puppet though!
Beautiful work of art! I love all the different methods/materials you've used to create this wonderful character; Very clever solutions! Great video and thank you kindly for sharing! 👌👍
Hey, I love your videos! Thanks so much for showing it step by step. I was wondering, what is the fabric called that you wrap the characters in, on their face and arms etc? And what kind of glue would be ok to stick it down? Thank you so much!
Hi! Great video, thanks! I have a couple of questions... how are you attaching the head to the neck of the armature? And how have you made the armature base that you craft the head around? I'd be really grateful if you could help. Thanks!
Hello, thank you very much, 🙏🙂↕️😊 for the head I attach it with epoxy glue to the neck, the frame is made of wire covered with epoxy putty (milliput) 👍🏻
Thanks for the very useful advice. I've never sculpted. but recently I started sculpting and posting on UA-cam. But my children don't like it. They say it's not mine. I'm a little upset. Can you advise whether to continue or not? Thank you..
What kind of glue did you use when sticking the fabric onto the head? The glue tube was hard to read😅 I’ve used shoe glue but the glue is extremely yellow and I’ve been trying to find an alternative
This is AMAZING, thank you so much for this. Your attention to detail is so inspiring. Just one question though, what fabric are you using to wrap around the head and create the skin? Is it a thin stretchy type of fiber? I hope you see this, I'm so excited to try your techniques!!
Love it so much!!i'm an animation student and we are learning stop motion this year, and i was looking for a puppet tut and i found you. I was just wondering what fabric did you use on your puppet face? It seems like nothing can sit this perfectly on my puppets face
How many strands of wire do you use when wrapping the legs and arms? I might be using to thick of wire because it’s hard to bend. I just don’t want it snapping. Oh and one more thing. Is fabric stiffener necessary for the skin?
I use two pieces of aluminum wire that remain mobile but after a certain number of twists it will break, for the fabric stiffener it allows the fabrics not to wear out too much and not to pill 👍🏻
What sort of fabric was the skin made from? I saw you mention on another comment that it was from a tshirt, it seems to be a darker colour on the side that you stuck down, where would I find something similar? :0
I love your puppet making process!! I wanted to ask is it a specific glue that you use to glue the fabric onto the face? Is it super glue? Also what do you use to sand the balsa wood so perfectly? Thanks! 😊
the whole body is covered with foam and then with bandages in order to smooth the shapes of the body, for the arms and the legs they are glued with epoxy glue, but as they are connected to the body by aluminum wires it always remains foldable 👍🏻
Hello, I am 15 years old and I have a dream of making stopmotion. We do not have enough money to buy a lot of hobby materials, but it is not a problem, I can buy the basic materials. Do you think a person can make stopmotion alone? Or does it need a huge team? I don't have any friends. Do you think I have a chance, even if it's not great? 🥺
Hello Brice! Huge fan of this work… so inspiring… my question is “why wood” for the body? Every one uses wood… could you not sculpt the body? Like you did the head? Or use something like foam clay that’s mold able and dries hard?
Thank you very much 🙏😊the balsa wood is very light and this allows not to add weight to the puppet to animate it later but you can do it with any materials 👍🏻

how did you measure the figure for the shirt? im trying to make 1/12 scale figure clothes and the sewing proportions are hard for me to figure out. any tips?
I first make the pattern by taking the measurements, then I cut out all the parts, I adjust by placing them on the character and if everything is ok I sew the different parts together
