This is great. Love the idea of using the magnet for the mouth. I didn’t think it would work under the clay.

this was really cool. i have come up with a lot of different head styles, one with foam balls you can get from the dollar store. it's really the hardest part of the puppet to make because it has to be able to swivel side to side

Great work! It gave me a few ideas to tackle some problems I've been having with my character builds. Could you give me some details on the clay you're using? I'm curious if it happens to be flexible at all after drying.

So sorry for the late reply... for this one i was just using the paper clay. very flexible, and dries well... and i get a longer time to work on the material before it starts to harden :)

Some fantastic ideas in this video. Thank you for sharing. I noticed you cutting the eye lids with scissors. I have some air dry clay but haven't used it. Is that what you are using? It cuts with scissors? Very cool.

I tried polymer clay but i had a hard time using it for the kind of puppet i make. I am totally sure that it would be a great material as well... just a bit more work. I am hoiwever , working on something using polymer, trying detachable mouth . fingers crossed:)

i think that is what i am using. i just call it paper clay because thats what is says on the material i use. but i am sure it is the same :)
