Everything about this, the lighting, the debris falling, crumbling and kicking up dust, the lovely score and emotion are all stellar. Even the fact that there's no dialogue make this a true work of art. I was touched by the message and it was a good reminder to us all that unconditional love/kindness is always repaid in kind.
This is so beautiful. Such a metaphor for life; taking risk, rather than staying safe but alone, climbing mountains that once seemed impossible and receiving rewards greater than you could imagine. ❤
By coincidence is always a woman saying this bs, it's almost like you trying to convince us it's worthed, that you got something to offer we can't avoid. Trust me, we can, more now than ever. And it'll get even better. We all die alone anyway, family or not, but knowing I didn't get mentally or financially abused by a woman in my life I will die with a smile on my face.
@@LongBeachCounty How about not reading the spoilers and comments BEFORE watching what you don't want spoiled? Or maybe it's you that's spoiled? Taking something nice and turning it in to "you ruined it for me and it's your fault" shows your spoilage. Definitely stay in California.
This should be adapted as a children's storybook. It's short and simple, there are gorgeous images for illustrations, it's non-controversial and has a positive message. It could sell really well.
I saw the poison fog as a metaphor for the negativity we all choke down daily, or perhaps the isolation of depression. The orb is hope. He refused to let the fog take his little light away under any circumstances. He remains undaunted in the face of terrible odds to rejoin his light with the whole. I like that you didn't use the device of talking to himself. Powerful and lovely. Thank you. This should be one of those shorts you see before a feature film.
There could be many different interpretations, mine is that the movie was so awarded because people could relate to the modern narrative of ourselves destroying our own planet eventhough there is always one good intentioned guy, the last hero. That mixed with the fake Panspermia theory by which life on earth came from another planet plus the hollow earth theory filled with places like Shagri-La, extinct dinosaurs and pig sized mosquitoes... Here are my two cents...
WOW .. this is an incredible piece of work. With everything being AI generated CGI nowadays watching this was a real joy, it's good to see someone making old school claymation like this and keeping old skills alive and flourishing. Thank you very much ❤
I don't have all the words I need to say what needs to be said about this incredible work. From the start, to the end, I was mesmerised. The story goes right to the heart, and that makes it wonderfully beautiful, especially at a time like now. Thank you so much @Wood Goblin Fabrication. I cannot imagine to effort that went into making this, but I do appreciate it very, very much.
Hats off to anyone out there doing stop motion pieces. Definitely, a labor of love in this digital Era. Wonderful, inspiring, moral/ethical lesson in the storyline. It is a little depressing to realize in his new found salvation that he is the only human left. ....or is he? Perhaps a sequel???
It's the high quality gems like this that makes it worth searching through the 90% of UA-cam that is not so good....especially since the absurd algorithm & guidelines have reached a level of censorship that is obscene & totally frustrating...
Things like this film, raise my hope a little, for humanity. Usually, especially lately, I haven't felt lie we have a chance.,..especially since 2022 when I lost so much....I haven't been able to drag myself back from the edge. This film....has given e hope that good doesn't always jean good for humanity., ad this gives me a smile I needed to feel. A small ember of hope it isnt all going to shit.
That was an incredible work of art. What I got out of it: With self sacrifice and determination we can help fix the bad state our planets environment is in.
Jeannie , I’m so very sorry for your loss . Even though we don’t know each other , you were brave enough to post about your loss and I think that’s a step towards healing ❤️🩹 . You will never “get over it” , you will simply learn to live with it . I wish you the very best and again , I’m so very sorry for your loss . Take care and may God bless you going forward . Peace to you . ☮️
Taking risk is so scary especially when you dont know what's ahead but taking that risk will give you experiences way beyond your expectations and it will help you find yourself, your weaknesses as well as your strengths.
The opening notes of the score sounded EXACTLY like the theme from The Goonies. It immediately transported me on an involuntary nostalgia trip. Thank you very much!!! 👍
I once saw a group of “extra terrestrials” that had a very similar description as the little light beings featured in this short - practically identical! they floated in a similar fashion and just were like sweet little orbs of light travelling through the air, somewhere between 40 and 100ft. Almost on a convoy journey. I saw about a dozen of them floating from behind and above the building across the street, then straight over my apartment complex. They seemed like a family somehow. I know it sounds crazy but I wasn’t alone in witnessing it… they were definitely not drones. I used to reference the movie “Batteries Not Included” to describe their size and mannerism regarding my experience, but from now on I’m going to show people this movie! It’s so close it’s uncanny and I can’t help wonder if this is based on someone else’s similar experience. I absolutely love the message of the story too. How beautiful. ❤️
I believe your story totally because I've been seeing dancing and multiplying/dividing orbs in my yard for several years. They appear on my security camera, which is always in the same position, but the activity of the orbs is never the same!
What can I say that probably hasn't been stated already...Refreshing take on Life and Death and Hope. Beautifully scored and Epically animated.. Sometimes more is said in silence than with words... Actions show us the motives behind his need to see something Live... I can only imagine the Different stories or views that are represented with this Film. POV and Life experiences will play an important role in how one feels or interprets this... Just Masterful story telling with substance and relevance... We need this today so badly... Thank you for this vision and this beautiful artwork presented to us. Everyone involved in this production has blessed us with something we did not have before watching it...and to each of us... that is different and splendid... Much Love and Respect to all involved.. My greatest of gratitude... A Magical story telling that touches the Soul...and shows us possibilities of driving past the Darkness inside ourselves.
Excellent story & Animation! I've always enjoyed stop motion. Especially in this day & age, where digital rules the landscape. This short is clever, it has no dialog & still conveys relatable emotions & actions of the main character. Generally, I dont read any descriptions before watching a short film. This one would have probably made more sense if I had. In any case, very good work!
I think a big part of it is how you can see the hand of the artist. We know how it’s made and how labor intensive it is, so the appreciation is built in from the first frame. If you made a completely identical film with cgi that was indistinguishable from this, it wouldn’t have the same impact. Everyone has personal experience with playing with dolls. Along with the nostalgia of childhood make believe, it’s easy to understand how this is done, so we know how much effort it takes.

Sure, everyones with their special someone. Go away for five years and come back, they are with totally different special someone's. Totally worth it.

He's dead. He is not limping anymore. That's paradise metaphore.
Also he's lost about half an inch of facial hair.
The "behind the scene" video is definitely worth it!!! Go watch it too people!!!
My partner died earlier this year. It has been hard to leave the comfort of my home to a new world. This little short really was so well done.
Sorry for your loss.
Is okay if I keep you in my prayers?
Please take care.

So simple, so old as an understanding of humanity, yet forever a look upwards. If only we could...

Needs more woke:
“Strong independent woman punches man-fog to death. Paves the way for oppressed cosmic pollen fairies.”

Very compelling little film; it posed more questions than it answered, allowing the viewer's mind to retain the sense of strangeness and wonder.
