- We test my Assassin's Creed Hidden Blades not to see how sharp they are but how well they would function for a modern member of the Brotherhood from Assassin's Creed.

Ok that ballistic gel test was terrifying, the point blank kill is the reason the hidden blade is so effective in the games, making it look like you only touched somebody and they drop dead is the reason the assassins are so feared
One thing they didn't actually test is the dB of the blade coming out *when it was impacting the gel.* From what I could tell, it was basically silent. All the noise of the blade coming out was just the blade smacking the end at max length, but with the gel, the force of the gel slowed the blade extension to where no noise was made.
Spooky stuff, you really wouldn't hear anything.
@@CorwinTheOneAndOnly that and the blade on bone. even if you get a perfect hit, a blade right thru the all three arteries will most likely hit bone
exactly. thats why hidden blade under arm is so effective and intuitive, not over it.
@@kevind3974 that's why you target the kidneys and liver areas from behind
420 likes, nice
I honestly feel like this happens to nearly every "science" experiment. Things start off seriously, and then the scientists start to goof off seeing just how far they can take things.
Confirmed...😅
The last words ever to be uttered by man might very well be “oops. That’s not supposed to happen.”
Demon core moment
You watch too many Hollywood movies then.
Man i really wanna see a Ballistics dummy test to see if it can make its way through bone
That should be very hard for this kind of weapon but who knows maybe it would go through
But why would he even need to go through the bone?
All the fleshy bits are not protected by bone.
@@filfil9902 well not every kill is gonna be a perfect neck shot, and even then you have the spine and windpipe to content with also, if you're not positioned well or they fight back in someway you may need to go for the torso. Also it be a cool test of capabilities.
@@filfil9902 why? Well this is a project inspired by Assassin's creed as you know and they were targeting two places with hidden blades, neck and head so thats why a hidden blade should go through bone and also thats why its mounted on your arm and its not just a normal knife in your hand
@@filfil9902 in the original assassin's creed games some stealth kills had the blades able to stab through the head and reach the brain, this is more just seeing if that could be done with these
In all honesty the hand drawn blueprints you make look fluppin incredible. You should do them for almost all of your projects man.
One added security measure for such a blade could be to have the blades only come out once the string is pulled to a certain extent and then the button is pressed. Don't want to accidently have the blad come out into the hand lol. Although I presume you have some security measures in place to deal with this.
thats why all of the hidden blades work on a hard string pull
Could have an excess of string attached to a spring mechanism in the ring like a tape measure such that general movement the string extends and retracts from the ring keeping consistent tension but you hold a clamping button on the ring again like a tape measure to allow for the string length to be fixed and tugging on it triggers the blade release. Would be possible to have the button such that a clenched fist would hold it down.
@LightningW135yes a good reference
One thing I think would improve any hidden blade is a safety switch.
Everyone always wonders ''what if the blade comes out by accident?'' Well flicking a safety switch like on a firearm would insure full movement of the hands and wrists, and flicking the switch through the clothes could look like your just scratching your wrist. A safe yet stealthy option.
RAWICE511's hidden blades have safety functions like that
What about using electro magnets at each end and just reversing the polarity of them when you extend and retract coz you just gotta carry a small battery instead of a big air tank
Amazing idea i hope they see this.
Really not a fan of the pneumatics, but the testing doesn't lie about the effectiveness! Pretty cool!
I don't even think I've seen someone make one yet that actually emulated the game until now
@@johnnystiff8453 colin furze on UA-cam made a almost perfect working replica.
@@mekhane.broken9678 He's just one of hundreds who used Ammnra's dual action OTF design. imdeepainreborn is the only one who to have actually made a game-accurate HB using the actual scissor spring.
@@johnnystiff8453Rawice511 is the best ive seen so far
The scariest part for me was the flailing around with clearly sharp blades. Damn fine sharp blades at that!
2:41
That is terrifying. As cool as they are, I don’t think I’d be comfortable wearing them.
I would if there was a security lock. And if it was legal.
@@NoName-zj9jl It's morally legal, so it's fine. Who cares about legally legal.
@@CorwinTheOneAndOnly I love your logic
@@CorwinTheOneAndOnly everything is legally legal if cops don't know
@@NoName-zj9jl well if the cops catch you with them you do have 2 little things to tell them no with, im sure the dead cant arrest you
i've just remembered something
Not only is the removal of the ring finger a sign of commitment to the Creed, but more importantly...
this would allow for a Hidden One to make a fist with they're hand, whilst still having the blade fully extended, not to mention less need to worry about jabbing yourself in the hand, and well it'll be much easier to put more force into your stab aswell.
plus it just looks cooler
This is absolutely incredible. Indubitably great engineering good sir.
Impressive! Your fellow assasins must be very proud of you!
Jairus, this project is so cool! Definitely the same vibes as the chair restoration 😂 and those hidden blades plans look pretty good, might have to get them for a friend of mine….
Thank you for making the most realistic artistic complex hidden blade.. You guys are amazing..
Idk if this is possible but just a thought, to avoid injury, maybe there’s a way to rig the ring to only register your inputs for the switch if the string is fully extended (meaning your wrist has to be clicked back). But anyone can go on for days talking about how to make it a little better, I still can’t get over the fact you made it and made it WORK. CIA gonna be buying that blueprint soon enough
Edit: another idea would be to have adaptive responses for the ring. So like a quick press would make the blade shoot out and retract as fast as it can, for maximum stealthiness, while pressing for a few seconds will make it stay out until pressed again
These are so sick!! I saw a clip of the “neck” test somewhere on UA-cam shorts or instagram reels and I thought it was cool. 1 month later and I stumbled on the 3 part series. Great stuff and I love the showcase. It will K I L L
I really enjoy when you and other creators like hackamith and colin furze make weapons from video games
So cool!
Now that i also remembered it , what happened to the mantis blades from cyberpunk you were making ?
He is not going to do that anymore.
I’d love to see further testing where you try it on things like beef or pork to see how it fares. Perhaps even a carcass
I'd suggest an opening system where you have to use two switches. One is the existing ring switch, and the other is located at the back of your hand, where it can only be pressed if you tilt your hand back. They both have to be pressed before the blade can open up.. the main purpose of this idea is safety.. you wouldn't want to accidentally open the blade if your hand is in the way... just my thoughts tho
Great project and execution! Best hidden blade ever
The blades are so quiet. It really contrasts everything else and is hilarious. 😂
This deserves so much more recognition
It feels illegal to be this early! Holy crap these blades indeed do „keel“
I used to watch many videos of real life hidden blades years ago and they were all pretty much the same and didn't really work. Seeing this puts a big smile on my face not only because how well it works but also because of the build quality. That's true craftsmanship right there. Great job guys!
how much air does this use, how many uses per 20oz tank? would smaller 12gram co2 work with replacing them more often? two per gauntlet?
This is awesome, I could not imagine having these lol ! Jairus is a genius, what can’t this guy make !!!
Those are PERFECT, absolutely incredible, you changed the game 😎👌🏼 best hidden blades ever made
I loved this as a OG Assassin's Creed player. Thank you 🙏🏾
"So what you're saying is, it will KEAL"
_"I understood that reference..."_
I always enjoy your videos. They came great 👍. Keep up the fun and great content. Merry Christmas 🎄
Thanks, you too!
@@jairusofallCan you join the makers secret Santa next year?
@@Blutankalpha I don’t know who runs that. It’s probably invite only. Would be really cool though!!
I’d love to see a version that can handle a bit stronger psi, one that could be much more deadly. Plus a slimmed down version of the valve systems, I’d like to know if it can be regulated so that a small CO2 cartridge could be used, like the ones used in air soft rifles. Something like that could be so cool
if it were to use a small c02 cartridge, it would actually be alot better and you could just hide the valves in ur pockets!
I think you made these way to quiet one of the most iconic sounds is the sound of a hidden blade activating the iconic shink. I love this build with all of my heart because assassins creed is my favorite franchise
To kill someone, you gotta be very stealthy.
“HOO HA YA!!! ARGH!!!!!”
I always wonder is they any risk of accidentally unsheathing hidden blade cause in AC games they wear them all the time? Even when doing ordinary stuff like writing ✍️ ,petting animals, giving people hand shakes and while using other weapons. Remember origins Bayek lost a finger cause the blade was accidentally unsheathed during the fight in the bath house
this weapon is genuinely terrifying bro. this rules
"might make a good christmas present". It a deadly hidden weapon haha
Mother of god, did you just debunk skallagrim's assessment of the hiddenblade?
Weren't you afraid to activate the blade while your hand was on top of it? Or did you do something to prevent it from happening in case of an accidental press
The sheer joy on his face as he stabs and slices is alarming and relatable XD
What would be cool os to modify the hidden blades to also have a wrist mounted pistol, or bolt gun type situation that could be used for close to medium distances AND remain silent, also triggered by the ring.
Bro out here living out dreams
wtf. I need these in my life. like. now. I just finished ac 1,2, and 3 and im addicted
Maybe for a more compact, cheaper version you could somehow eject/retract the blade like you would a gravity knife?
Thats just a gravity knife on your arm lol
Only thing I could see being added to this is a hand harness being added to it to stop the blade from moving so much when slicing against something.
And the thing they haven’t thought about is that the rubber seals prevent any blood from getting inside the mechanism as well as clean the blade
Science! Glad to be a member!
Smashing that popcorn in you mouth up against that ring switch made me jump😮. These things are crazy dangerous. But also super badass.
Imagine if he just activated the blade while eating that handful of popcorn at the end there 💀
Hey I know this may be a long shot but maybe your next challenge could be to make the Conner Kenways dargger hidden blades and a phantom blad
what if you wore gloves resistant to sharp knives, and made a gravity knife which would be more realistic for ac’s setting
You should sell them but make it so they are less lethal by powering them by springs in the blade. And since I’m in Utah all blades are legal and allowed to be concealed for protection of course
what is you tried to make a more compact version of the blades that opened and closed faster? All while being just as reliable? could it be possible?
Idk why I got this through my algorithm but I'm glad it did.
That’s amazing and that’s a weapon that should never be underestimated
Dang epic pumpkin carving!
The amount of ‘science’ clips was impressive
I'm thinking after the point blank test this might be illegal
I'd love to see you build Corvo's blade from Dishonored.
Such a great project, congratulations for making it work till the end!
This is one of the coolest projects I’ve seen in a long time. Well done, dude.
Edit: should have watched more of your videos first, cause this is amazing but your halo launcher brought my childhood to life. Glad I’ve found your channel
Congrats on 600k subs
you should’ve used the one-strapped backpack that Desmond wore in the games💯
Way to go! Great video and such an awesome project!
2:18 jesus christ dude you have established that it is deadly and you pointed them directly at your pal?????? bro 😭
They were completely shut off for that 😉
@@jairusofall oh phew that’s a relief, ik im not the guy who spent all the time making it but please keep in mind that since that it can clearly injure or even kill if aimed at a vital treat it like a gun on safety and don’t point it at anything unless it’s something that you intend to shoot, or dramatically slice and skewer in the name of science
With some practice swiping over stabbing and subtlety with the palm strike into blade stabby stabby you could make your hidden blades versatile and deadly.
PLEASE find a way to get Doug to review these!! he is trained in many many ancient weapons of war but i wonder how he will tackle something both ancient (in game lore that is) but with a modern twist!
also quick note but when you ate the popcorn at the end i for some reason opened my mouth 🤔 i don't even know why cause i don't go much on the stuff unless its flavored. Just thought it was strange you made me involuntarily open my mouth and figured i would share this strange occurrence
Since making this, I'm curious to know if you've tried to power this off of smaller compressed air canisters. The backpack is a bit unwieldy.
Finally you try it... Its soooo nice
Merry Christmas Jairus, hope you have a good one!
Honestly amazing
Wicked cool Jairus!
Couldn't you put the momentary switch just inside the wrist so that the motion of flicking your wrist would activate it?
just two guys having fun while also testing their blades
These are so terrifying!
My son is so interested in one of these. lol Only 16 though. He's gonna have to wait a little longer. lol
I FINALLY FOUND THE ONE FROM YT SHORTS LESS GOOOO
2:27 Bayek in the bathhouse in ac origins
I want him to do the Ezio signature double hidden blade barrage
Great Demonstration! 😊👍
These look so fun to play around with, please can we have another project testing/demo video
Also they are scarily effective, the sank into the ballistic gel way too easily and they are just soo quiet its unnerving
Nice video man!
the whole vibe of this video feels overdone but the blades are still cool
I need to get my hands on one of those immediately
definitely the best reproduction of these blades
Jairus, Bryce. I love you guys. Keep it up
I need to see this made in forged in fire
Only suggested i have would be to operates the buttons with opposite hand. So left hand controls right. So if u hand is preoccupied u can still switch it in. In the current form, how do u activate if u grab someone with ur hand by the shirt like in the game.
Upon opening could they slice off the two middle fingers like in the lore?
Looks incredible I wish I knew how to craft something like that
I feel like if you make them with AR steel you could add a lot more force behind the ejection of the blade it is faster personally I feel like they are too slow. Still you have the best.
Would it be possible for someone to commission you to make a set of these and sell it to that person? I don’t have near the experience needed to build these myself, but would love a pair of my own. It would make cosplaying as an Assassin even more realistic.
I wish you many subscribers this year
Wow AWESOME i would like to buy it
Do you think you could make scorpions spear with a similar mechanism?
damn that ballistic test was awesome
would be better if it was a stiletto blade for more penetration but its all good
Awesome! Would you make a smaller, possibly spring loaded, version for a paying customer? If so, how would I contact you?
honestly, that hidden blade is amazing
Seeing how slow they move in real-time, this would feel horrific going inside of you, but it'd be fast enough that you wouldn't understand what's going on and probably be in shock pretty quickly.
so awesome bros
You need to add skin or fabric to the gel. Otherwise, 10/10 perfect!
