I just did this to my house bought the arc and two sonos One so glad I did it it’s clean and looks better and sounds better compared to my old Samsung surround sound from 15 years ago. Definitely worth the upgrade. No subwoofer just the arc and two back speakers music sounds great and marvel and Star Wars sounds amazing!
Star Wars does sound amazing, but adding the Sonos Sub would knock your socks off!
Now it’s time to get the 3rd Gen subwoofer! Or better yet, get (2) subs! I was shocked that Sonos supports have (2) subs for your tv surround system.
I have the exact set-up in my apartment, and it rocks! You will love every minute of it when watching movies.
i have the Sonos ARC soundbar connected with 2 of the Sonos Subs and the ONE SL's for rears......sounds great for my man cave.....very happy...cheers from Canada...be safe
Hi there I have gotten the arc and tried setting up AFTER I setup my pair of One SLs. Two questions for you, because so far in my searching I’m not finding an answer 1. Should I set up the arc first and then add the SL pair? (it doesn’t seem to be playing from all three at the same time - and maybe that Hass to do with the TV audio? I don’t know that I was playing something that had Dolby Atmos.)
2. When playing music through the Sonos app or some other streaming service should the music play through the sound bar and the speakers? Because it’s not. I’m guessing I need to set it up differently.
@@danjburris i set my arc up first then added the sub then added the rears....have worked flawlessly...love the system....seriously thinking about getting the 5's for rears...my room is 14 x 22 ft
@@GOLFADDICT65 thanks I cooked around with it more and got it working. As soon as I hit the volume button on my phone, it all came up and I selected to add my “second room” and. now it works perfectly. Thanks!
This is great to see. I appreciate seeing these videos on the Sonos surround system. I’d like to see the installation process for in-wall or in-ceiling surrounds with the Sonos system. Also, I’d like to see a mounting solution of the Arc to a full motion wall mount.
Bro watched the whole thing. Learned a lot! I'm using sonos for my home theater and will be giving yall a call!
Hey Zak, per your videos I am very new to Sonos and thanks to you I have started my Sonos adventure. I currently have 1 Sonos OneSL in my Den and the Sonos Beam in my bedroom. I love your Sonos videos and all of the awesome demos you do. Please keep them coming. I have learned alot and I hope to continue with the Sonos speakers when I get some more money. Thanks so much...love your videos!!
The best surround sound set up eliminates the effect of speakers all together. Fully immersed.
Loving that couch. Super luxurious and classy. Thanks for keeping the content coming. Loving that range hood as well.
I really enjoyed your review! It was exactly what I was looking for in a sono review.
It's always interesting to see the different available options on how to combine the speakers in different configurations. I'd love to see more videos like that. I think the Sonos website is a bit disappointing in that regard, so videos help. Especially yours 👍😃 Thanks for sharing.
I’m doing this same setup with my new Sony x950h 65”. This video has me stoked!
Which surround speakers sound better with Arc and Sub (Gen 3) ? One (gen2) vs. One SL vs. Five ?
I got the 1 gb. I will say it is as good as advertised.
Great Information. I have purchased the arc, the sub and the ones. Waiting for the arc to come in to set it all up. This video helped a lot. Thank you!
I had run of the mill surround sound for years. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING compares to Sonos. I bought the Arc with 3rd Gen sub. Oh my gawd! Next upgrade is going with (2) ceiling mount Sonos One’s and a second 3rd Gen Subwoofer.
Our media room also has a gabled roof like yours, though it's dedicated for media so doesn't have the width yours has and the TV is centralized on the "far" wall - I actually find the acoustics are some of the best I've come across in a media room, better than most flat roofed rooms I've come across. Most concert halls have gabled or domed roofs too, so I don't necessarily think having a flat roof is ideal for acoustics. Great video though.
Thanks for watching! It is more so that the acoustics/room type are not ideal for dolby atmos in higher end theater rooms because of the accuracy of the effects. We are a professional company and we have to note that according to dolby atmos spec you want a perfect rectangular room with flat ceilings but we totally get where you are coming from. It can still sound good in less that ideal rooms. Im glad your enjoying your set up! Have a great week!
Really enjoyed the video, Zach. I have one question. It appears you have this setup in a room with vaulted ceilings. I'm curious about the effect that has on the upward firing Arc and its Atmos reproduction. Is the Atmos still effective in such a room?
The Sonos app will help adjust the speakers for ultimate sound. He sat still while it calibrated, but when I did mine, the Sonos app had me walk around the whole room, moving my phone up and down as I walked.
That viewing distance from the TV LOL. I just watched that movie last night also.
This is the review is was waiting for... Dreamedia is awesome like always...!!!
Great demo. Sounds better than expected for a bar. I wish you guys were in Arizona.
Also is this better than Samsung Q Symphony Sound? For there own Samsung QN700A Soundbar. Samsung recommended to get its own brand soundbar.
My house is very similar build to yours and I found the vid super helpful! Thanks for your time and effort!
Can u tell my y the owner have fire and heater on also window is open?
Love the sonos setup
Great video again nice house! Only 55'' inch tv you need a 65'' or bigger. Enjoy.
Right I have a 65 in my bedroom
I have never been a Sonos fan. But now will look into my man cave to complement the 55” Sony OLED. Thanks for the information. What was the One touch remote again. Would like to research it
I’d love this here in the uk! Keep up these videos ❤️
I just got the Arc and (2) one SLs but I can’t find where I can select the levels for the back speakers. I don’t hear them at all when I’m watching a movie. My old Kenwood speakers that plugged into my 1990’s tuner were more effective. 😕
I think wired is the best option
If we compare vs a Klipsch Setup around the same price Range as the overall 5.1.2 setup with sonos . What should i go for
Sonos, anytime the best in market 👌
Did you finish the install and run the wires through the wall or leave the wires exposed hangin from the TV?
Is it okay to put the rear speakers in an asymmetrical position like you did? Does the Trueplay tuning compensate for that?
Great job Zack- thanks for your advice and help- perfect amount of info that I needed
Great review 🤠
Anyone having lip sync issues via ps4pro .. no issue while in PCM but massive delay with bitstream
I just purchased the same system you have and it's not that simple....the arc is running, the gen3 sub is working but the rear speakers are not.i used the app.i hope it's the right app it says Sonos gold colored background..if I cannot get it to work it's going back to the store....
I just purcsed the Arc and the sub. Does the sub need to be placed in the front of the room close to the TV or can It be place behind me and still get good sound?
Just bought 2 SL speakers and Sonos arc however I will be waiting a month for them to ship the arc. Quick question, my TV only has Arc Dolby digital plus. Since I am going to use this primarily for gaming, will arc have a big audio delay compared to earc? Will it ruin the experience completely?
Hey dreamedia did u hear any popping noise from the sonos arc which everyone is saying right now and the only way to fix it is by disabling the cec I never had sonos before always bose so I wanted to try it out let me know thanks 👍
Not sure if answered but do u have to turn everything on individually or when u turn on the tv the soundbar and surround speakers all turn on with it.
Nice set up. I prefer to have my sonos surround system hardwired. Is it best to have all of the speakers connected with an ethernet cable for the best sound?
I'm still using Sonos Play 1s and they sound really good. What's the difference between One SL and Plays 1s.
Can I pair old Sonos play 1s with Sonos ARC soundbar. I'm considering getting for my place. On boxing day if it goes on sale.
Thanks for the very informative video!...Question: Will Sonos Fives speakers sound better as rears?
Hey, I just bought a Sonos ARC with Sub for a Samsung QLED 2019 that it was supposed to have eARC enhancement but finally Samsung doesn’t apply. So I wonder If Instead of changing my TV, but an Arcana, but my question is if it’s really worth it. I mean, I’d have to pay 500 usd for Arcana to import in my country. Dolby Atmos is worth it against Dolby digital+? I only see streaming movies, not blue ray. Thanks for your advises!
What remote did you reference at the end? I'd love to take a look at adding it to the set up!
Cool! Do you need the sound bar and is it compatible with Apple HomePod minis? Thanks
I smashed that subscribe button a little too hard LOL Excellent video and thanks for putting out. Will look up when I'm in TX next.
just picked up my sonos ARC / SUB / ONE's SL....just watched a three of your reviews and i believe it will help me greatly...i am older and not that tech savy...lol....will let ya know how it turns out....Do you guys ship to CANADA ? thx great review....stay safe cheers
thankss a lot i was waiting. for one of the reviews like thisss
Excellent video. Question, does that Samsung Q90 TV support Dolby Atmos? I'm told you need a TV made in 2020/2021 to get Atmos capability. If the TV does not support Atmos, is it worth getting the ARC versus the Beam?
I have the same setup. Our setup supports Dolby Digital Plus which is an equivalent codec to Dolby Atmos. When you watch an Atmos movie, the sonos system processes the DD+ codec as Atmos. You'll see "Atmos" displayed on your Sonos. S2 controller. In short, yes...you're good to go
very stylish salon
How do I switch from Arc to tv speakers and vice versa?
So comparison between klipsch inwall and sonos arc 5.1 setup like this one? Just soundwise. Im trying to invest in a cinemaroom. And dont know if the extra work of inwall is worth it. :)
I have to hit my sonas sl every time to get it to start. I have 2 living rooms, probably just accidentally added them separately. I will unhook everything and redo.
how would this set up compare with in wall speakers in rear powered by amp? Also, with sonos amp can i use 2 rear speakers and two on the side?
Just got the Sonos ARC along with the two Sonos One rear speakers, no Sub yet ! what is the best settings for the rear speakers ? you only hear them with certain movies. not TV like Netflix , am I doing something wrong?
Can you link two more Sonos ones two the ark,two rear ones, and sub. So that I can have one ceiling height at the front and one at the back so it would be a bit more like an Atmos system?
Good video!! What app were you using to watch Ford vs Ferrari. I tried Amazon n Netflix but none of them I can watch. The UI was diff so wanted to ask. Thanks!!
Another nice vid. Thank you.
One question. When running the acoustics, I noticed you sat in one location. In the Sonos vids they walk around the room while doing the test.
Which is correct? Thanks again!
The first step is to sit where you watch tv, hold the phone upside down and steady at eye level. Afterwards it’ll tell you to walk around the room, he most likely didn’t show that because it’s a whole minute of walking around and waving your phone.
I’m guessing he did. One of the previous videos (for the arc or arc & sub) he showed himself walking around the room in the calibration process but this video was edited for time.
Great video, Very informative. I am trying to find an Arc now but all my local Best Buy’s are sold out. Definitely will be getting one as soon as I can find it in stock.
I had same issue, but Micro Center has them as well
I have two ceiling speakers and an amp, can i add another two Sonos ones and a ARC to it ?
Excellent video.
Good video. This is what I'm looking for. I did go to your web site and could not find a listing for any Sonos speaker. Very odd!
I love how you say 5 dot 1
Hey, you talked about the Sonos Boost so the Sonos Devices create their own network.
Doesn't the arc do the same when plugged into the router with a ethernet cable?
I am trying to connect 1 Sonos arc, 4 one SL, and one Sonos bass all together.
I think you do a absolute great job brotha! only thing I Gotta ask is what is a good eq setting?
I bought the Sonos SL back in December Black Friday. You just they just came out. Confuse
Alex Tejada ones and SL is different.
@@wilsonmanch6773 the video hes saying the new Sonos One SL.
that what trigger my response
In any case Sonos #1
How would this sound using the Sonos arc and in ceiling rear speakers vs Sonos sl? I’d need a Sonos amp but Is one better than than others for sound?
Why is the TV so far from the sofa? That distance makes the TV waay too small
What do yo think about using a set of the new Sonos 5 as surround sound speakers? Will that add anything to the audio quality? And as I understand it you can’t pair the sub 3 with multiple different configurations. So would I then need to perhaps purchase an additional set of Sonos 5’s and a separate sub 3 for better music reproduction ?
People say the 5 adds more ump to the sound especially in a larger room.
Can you please offer your opinion on the Denon 3600h virtual atmos height speakers???
I heard the back surround Sound is lacking. And also what happen to the arc side firing driver?
Great movie... Great video... Thanks Zach
Thank you I was looking for this all day
right on man. Give us a shout when you need some new gear
WHAT SOUNDS better for movies(not talking atmos) sonos full system or bose 700 full system????!??!?!!??
Please contact us at 972-322-4607 or email us at: sales@dreamediaav.com we would be more than happy to assist you and answer any questions that you may have.
@@Dreamediaav I take that as yes Bose 700 sounds better
Aren't there side firing speakers on the arc as well? So it will be 7.1.2 and not 5.1.2? Or am I mistaken?
Awesome video I just need the sub with my Sonos beam and I am set
is it worth upgrading if I have the playbar? Do you have it in stock? It's sold out everywhere.
And how did you not fish them wires under tv for this customer?
Can you please send me the link for the control remote that you showed at the end (the black box)?
Can the sonos 1's be used as a surround speaker for my existing receiver amplifier, if it is wifi capable?
pity he didnt say how to set up the volume controls between tv and speakers?
Could you add a pair of fives? As part of your rear speaker setup?
Yes you can
What streaming service do you use for dolby atmos? Having a hard time locating movies/shows to optimize my system
I personally use Netflix, seems to have a decent amount of atmos content, wish it had more though.
That looked like apple
I cannot get these behind me, would either side if the room by ok, my sofa is on back wall so this would be either side not behind
Looks good but where is the phono input?
Is Texas back on lock down? Is that the reason, there's no install videos, from customers houses?
The One SL has been out for a while bud haha. Great video as always can’t wait to see more! Hopefully we’ll see Grayson again!! 😂
That's my concern I just got the arc and I'm abit confused if I should use the sonos one sl as surround speakers or Sonos one voice control the new one
I got the arc would you suggest me to use Sonos one sl as surround speakers or Sonos one voice control please advise
use them as surrounds
Also if I use the sonos one sl as surround speakers can I still control the arc or the entire system with voice control like Alexa?
Decision needs to be made should I trade my Beam in for a Arc r should I keep the Beam and buy a sub woofer
Definitely get rid of the beam for just arc alone
does Dolby atmos also come out of the Sonos SLs????
Thanks, great work!!
can I use more than two sonos ones for surround sound?
Sounds really good
Please note guys you need two Sonos One (Gen 2 or SL) speakers to connect to the sonos arc. It will not connect with only one speaker
instead of one SL, can i add the sonos one 2nd g?
I'm running a sonos ark and the one sl and two sub need a little more up front can I run a sonos amp with wire speakers with it to give a little extra that's needed??????
No. The arc isn’t setup for that just yet. The one sl are only capable as being surrounds at the moment. Adding another Sonos amp won’t act act L/R
How long are the power cables on the SL?
Is Sonos going to add the ability to add 2 Sonos subs to the arc?
According to the Sonos engineers, they are considering it in the future.
Not really worth it tbh. 1 is completely fine lmao
I’m trying to get surround subs going lol
You already can. Create another room, with a second sub, and group it with your ARC 5.1 room, while playing the same content, and done.
Great video
How does the arc or any Google assistant-enabled Sonos speaker integrate with other Google home products? I'm thinking of purchasing a set of Sonos speakers but I wonder if it allows for both or at least one of the following capabilities:
1) The ability to add a group or individual Sonos speakers to a Google Home room and/or
2) through google assistant tell it to play music in the living room and it plays in all speakers in the living room (Sonos and other google home speakers) OR at least just be able to tell it to play music through the google assistant.
Does anyone know in detail the capabilities of Sonos speakers integrating with Google Home? or are these google assistant-enabled speakers only capable of listening to commands?
