Waqar Ghulam I honestly think a California condor is the strongest since they prey on stuff like wolves and young moose’s and even deer though they mostly scavenge....
Would have loved to see the now extinct Haast's Eagle. But I'd be more than content to see one of these beauties flying through the rainforest. A truly spectacular predator
Mr. Rettig, I'm interested in the behavior of the bird when it's on your arm. Is the bird nervous, showing dominance, angry with you, playing with you ? It would be interesting to know what those pecks he's trying to give you are and what that open mouth means. I notice you don't seem especially anxious, although obviously he could seriously injure you if he wanted to. I've read elsewhere that certain birds used in falconry, like golden eagles and gyrfalcons, can be quite a handful on the fist because of aggressive behavior and are not for inexperienced falconers. I'm guessing this bird is not for amateurs either.
The bird is distressed you can see it by his constantly opened mouth and flopped wings. Maybe it's because of the camera because it doesn't seem to attack the guy holding him. But it is not good to stress the bird.
I have a question. Lived in Wisconsin most my life, so I know how cold it gets there. How does the Harpy Eagle fare when the temperature plummets in the winter?
OH MY!! I am so grateful to you for sharing this amazing video!! - clearly your work is all about healthy conservation of some kind of these masterful birds? - The NG society relies heavily upon such close encounters with such predatory animals, especially those whose natural habitats and behaviours remain steadily on the incline. 😄😄😄😄😄😄
@@hlcepeda in the end , its a quack bro . a fucking quack . i would respect dwayne johnson more then this bitch bird if he had shown a giant dildo in his ass ... that thing quacks ... end of story.
Americans, for the most part, love all the animals in the world and know that no country has them all. There is no jealousy or envy in the heart of an American and the only thing that could be said is that instead of envy there is only love and concern for the preservation of the species, no matter what region of the world they belong to.
Noah Miller I understand ypur point but without specimens for education conservation becomes difficult. Humans are selfish and often need to see creatures to give a shit about them. If they see epic eagles they might care to protect the Amazon.
My favorite bird. What a beautiful animal.
Agreed. Great Horned Owl is one of my favorites as well. Both very powerful birds.
This isn't a bird dumbass.

Philippine eagles sound like a bird, calmer, bigger and good looking.
I think 🤔 he wants a mouse 🐁

Not well.
I believe raptor handlers have to build/buy special housing for them to live comfortably in :-)
Anyone else get nervous when he was dangling his fingers in front of the eagle’s razor sharp beak?

If golden eagles can kill the wolf, they can probably kill lions
Golden Eagle cannot kill a wolf. The videos you've seen are of a wolf species no bigger than a fox or small coyote.
You are not too bright.
Dumb dumb dumb dumb DUMB!!!!!!
@@Jocelyn197878 you sound five years old, chill
Wow !
Thanks, Nora!
That's a male...Females are twice the size.
Total BS. Bigger yes by maybe 10-15%. No way twice
Most adult males.10 12 lbs. Females 20 22 lbs..that's about twice.
The bird seems to be very distressed even if it tolerates some touch.
Poor sloths.
wow.....................................................................harpi
Jealous North Americans, you have not this animal. It is native of SOUTH AND CENTRAL America!
Um...I don't think anyone is jealous, we can appreciate them regardless.

There in Mexico as well man.
You do realize throughout the video they mention the rain forest...never seen one in America..

Now compare that to a dinosaur such as a acheroraptor. You can see they look and act literally the same, except the flying part.
Ots funny how the way hou have to stolen animals from brazil... stop to stolen animals from my country
Stop stealing the english language with the purpose of butchering it.

Eurasian lynx can defeating this eagle easily with claws, jump and jaws.
Harpy eagle claws are powerful than a pitbul bite. Break bones with claws as you can see in the literature.
This is a male. Females get even larger.
