Yea i had big label A&Rs on my ass for a long time tryna sweet talk me with all that jazz and wanted to push me to write a ton of songs and show them all my work etc. Eventually i told em to touch grass cause i didnt trust them from the jump and knew if they were interested in me and told me all these things about my music that meant there is a worth in my music and the fact they came swooping in at a certain time meant they wanted to grab me before i got too educated to make it on my own. Now im still trying to figure shit out but at least im my own boss and stayed true to myself lol
same shit happened with me , i was very uneducated when a&r’s contacted me they made everything seem so easy and simple
had a gut instinct to take a step back and learn more before i entered that next step in my career

I just got off the phone with an A&R for Sony music. They want me to call another higher up to schedule a meeting for a contract I don't know shit about music business. I'm afraid to sign but I worked my whole life for this...
