- How to video on installing weather strip for your T-Tops and doors. This is an in-depth step by step tutorial. I am using Classic Industries Original Equipment Replacement weather strip kit to replace my leaking T-Top weatherstrip. (MyRidrr - Knight Rider Replica)
Easily one of the better examples of install. Lots of detail, and effort, tools, etc. to point things out, especially the center "T" top metal removal and corrosion address. Thanks from the future.
Thank you for the feedback. I'm glad you found value to the video.
Excellent job making your video. Was able to easily do my T-top gaskets on my 1986 Trans Am without any leaks. Thanks so much for the time you spent on the video to help make DIY projects possible.
I'm glad to hear that my video was helpful to you. I appreciate the feedback.
Nice man. Best video on the subject I've seen to date. I need to replace the pieces actually on my t-tops.
Good job man!!! Nice car well take care off
Would you still recommend a full set of OER weather strips? I have a 1985 Trans am in need of some.
They are good, but not great. If you can get Soft Seal, you'd paid more, but you'd be better off on the long run.
@@guyfaux5010 a few friends used Soft Seal and they seem to have lasted longer. A few years into these and they are degrading.
@@guyfaux5010 they dried in spots where they saw a lot of sunlight which caused them to crack and leak there.
Nice job. I need to do this as well. Were all the parts you installed in one kit or did you order more than one?
The kit contained all the rubber items and I had to buy the glue separately.
Ok great. The company was OER right? Do you have the part number? The one I found isn’t the one on the box in your video.
@@kkr7540 call Classic Industries in Huntington Beach, CA. They are the exclusive supplier as it's one of their brands. Yes, it's OER.
What type of tools did you use install the weather stripping?
Each tool I used was on the video. Basically a screwdriver set, scraper, heat gun, gloves from what I remember.
Where the tops hard to install after the new weather strip ?
motorola12slvr I needed top readjust the latches, but other than that it was a snug fit.
Kitt:)
