@@almaadams3631 Hmmm...while I agree that we must support those cultures and peoples, I don't think we need this type of VOICE, regardless of the color of their skin, one that spouts nonsensical gibberish when it comes to trying to defend their position on the policies pertaining to green energy and fossil fuels, blaming everyone and everything but themselves for the disasters that keep happening on their watch. I think it's better to say that we uphold those VOICES that are saying the right things and make sure that their actions match their voice, not doing or saying things that will ultimately only support their pocketbooks while they continue to trash America and Americans with every breath they take. I could care less about their outer packaging. Say you get a present in the mail that's been beautifully wrapped, but then you open it up and there's ricin or anthrax inside, your first thought might be about the packaging while you're unwrapping it. However, a person will quickly forget about the outer shell when the contents are so abhorrent. We need to be more in tune with the character of the person inside and stop this nonsense of trying to fit what a person looks like into positions that need knowledge in the field they're being placed in, not an emphasis on their outward appearance or chromosome makeup, something that not a single person has control over. Who cares what a person looks like?

Raising taxes on corporations sounds great. However, they merely pass them on to the consumer or write them off on tax day. The democrats know that but it makes for good talking points.

You heard it here folks... this woman just admitted that increasing corporate tax rates has nothing to do with increasing tax revenue, and is all about crippling corporations' ability to make money.
It's crazy, her justification to why we should raise taxes was "corporations make more money". Why are we punishing them for being successful? Also, that's implying a 5% increase in revenue isn't washed away by a 10% inflation increase and 10% increase in the cost of goods/services to run the business.
It's like she's just denying the existence of inflation and breaking down her entire economic argument to the simpleton braindead "babies first day being a leftist" idea of business= bad guys = tax more. I also don't get why she admits that legal loopholes allow many of the largest corporations to pay little to NO taxes...so why are we here? How about before we talk about raising corporate taxes that aren't even going to be paid, how about we fix the root cause of the issues: the loopholes...instead of raising it which will do nothing except punish businesses that can't afford the lawyers and accountants to get them those loopholes and tax breaks.

Thank you Democrats have a budgeting problem and spending more is not going to reduce the deficit we never want to go green or at least not right now anyway. It would take years to introduce this technology without disrupting the continuity of current technological gadgets we're using now that evolves around crude oil.

When you increase taxes on businesses, they pass those expenses on to consumers. A 5 year old could understand that concept.

And when you lower taxes on businesses, they pass those savings on to the CEO and shareholders in the form of stock buybacks, and pass on those expenses to taxpayers.

This consumer's business runs exclusively on diesel and gas. We have a fleet of trucks and equipment that have zero electric equivalent. What are we to do?
Everybody wants solar panels and electric cars? Yeah, everybody wants a lot of things. But that doesn't justify subsidizing it. Subsidizing demands tax revenue. So, helping someone buy solar panels and electric cars means using tax revenue. And spending more tax revenue demands more taxes. Kudos to Rep. Byron Donalds! Even though Shalanda Young tried to through word salads at him, he highlight what is so wrong with this budget.
Electricity is fine; I think a Power Wall (Tesla home battery backup) would be great, if I lost power more than once a year. I don’t believe I should pay for other peoples solar upgrades and the electric and hybrid cars should save enough to pay their own extra cost and “showroom depreciation”; not me. (Actually, I’m on Social Security Disability. The FED doesn’t even give us enough to pay property taxes. No “Subsidies” here.)

This man is a beast I’ve watched a couple clips from him that being said I don’t believe for one second that they don’t believe that higher taxes on corporate business will not raise the price of goods and if they truly believe that then they have no idea how businesses actually works

We have a small pizza shop in a small community and we've had to raise prices 2 times in less than 2 years. When typically we raise prices about every 3-4yrs on average. But all the other places have had to as well. Even things like say the most recent price change for us are the chips we sell.. our cost just went from 1.39/bag to 3.90. Flour up 300%. Cheese about 300%. Veggies all up at the very least 50%. In businesses like food where your food cost is already SUPER tight, this is making things rough on everyone. The big guys paying more makes shops like our pay more which makes us have to charge the community more or we close and there's no hometown pizza shop anymore. And we're just a tiny part of a community. Imagine your corner stores, your Chinese food places, your gas station all having to charge the ppl more or have to close. These aren't places that make hundreds of percent profit and can handle these huge changes.
It's like tribal lefties forget 2008 and what just the housing market bubble popping did. This is multiples worse what is happening.

That representative is good. It sounds like he’s a Republican based on how he is owning the administration but he’s the types of representatives we need. Very straightforward and doesn’t come off and condescending. This back and forth debate and question and answering is exactly what these meetings should be about. The the American people can make their own choices. Respect to her that she really didn’t try to dodge the questions. They just have different beliefs as to the effects of the policy changes…I personally agree that increasing taxes will ultimately come back to the consumer and anything that will increase oil and gas prices in against. I need to drive and need to heat and light my home. Can’t afford those things anymore yet alone to save and then pay student loans next month

So basically, we’re giving tax breaks to e- energy, but it will still cost the consumer more bc it is a newly forming system to provide energy & the development costs will be passed down to the consumers.

I'm more central politically, but what Rep. Donalds presented here was fantastic. Civil, reasoned, intelligent debate...he had his facts together and responded gracefully to Director Young, being able to acknowledge her points while standing firm on his. They had a rational discussion that did not devolve into personalities or ad hominem attacks. If HE is the future of the Republican Party, then there is hope for more bipartisan work and a better working Congress.
