One of my biggest live music regrets was discovering Stephen when it was too late. That makes this posting even more precious. He was his own man,an amazing musician and writer, and really, one damn fine observant human!
I used to play tennis with Steven at South Austin Tennis Center. Such a sweet soul. His words before his death will be with me forever. His music will live within all of us.
Nothing better than being in the Saxon Pub watching a Stephen Bruton show. Such a great composer. I've never heard him repeat a phrase the same way or play a song the same way. A true renaissance man

I use to watch Stephen with Bob Schneider a lot around this time at the Saxon Pub, good to see him on his own, I really liked Stephen Bruton a lot, miss him!
My crew (Outcasters) shot this show and streamed it. It was early internet days. Getting audio and video through 300 baud modems was a trick back then. Thanks to Chet Himes and the Bozarth Brothers.
@@lonbozarth Thanks for filming this, and for uploading it, as well. Stumbled across this randomly, as I was going down a yt rabbit hole. Had never heard of these guys until now, and I really dig it. They are polished, tight, and play as one cohesive unit. There’s some great jamming woven into their setlist, as they are quite proficient musicians. Glad I found it. 🎸

And he knew the neck as well as anyone I've seen.

Great time of life, wasn't that?
@@terr777 Yes it was!
Whoever shot this has my instincts (for what that is worth). I like it a lot.

Magnificent. Miss you, Stephen.
Thank you for saving this.
I only got to see TSB once, when he was a guest of Little Feat in Jamaica. Admired his music for a long time. This recording is great!
None better. The best, right here.
A true original . I miss him a lot
RIP.
TERRIFIC in his own regard (& Bonnie Raitt connection UNDENIABLE!)
