THANK YOU!!! Following your easy step-by-step video I was able to transfer parts of my old phone to my new phone, and it's working perfectly. A local technician wanted over $100 to do the job, and I was able to do it myself with your video, saving a lot of money. Thank you so much!!!

Absolutely brilliant instructional video. I fixed my S4 which had a broken screen and LCD. I purchased a complete screen and LCD and following these instructions dismantled the phone, installed the existing components onto my new screen and everything worked fine. Thanks very much.

Hi lyckos I purchased a complete screen/lcd assembly off ebay for £62 but they may be cheaper now. Its much easier to fix your phone this way if it has a broken screen. Saves having to separate the screen from the LCD and gluing on a new one. If you do it the way I recommend all you have to do is
transfer the components from the old assembly to the new one. Very easy to do. ... All the best Fotis

I can't tell you how brilliant this was to find. I'm a single Mum, and a skint one at that... Buying the screen was hard enough and took me months, never mind paying for it to be fitted... Such clear instructions and shots enabled me, with zero experience of anything electrical, to replace it myself. Successfully! Massive sense of achievement, and my phone back. Thank you!!

This video really made it seem easy. I'm not the most tech savvy person, but following it I easily went through a full tear down and reassembly of my phone. I work in a dusty environment and wanted to clean it out a little because I was having issues with my sim card not reading and wanted to just give the whole thing a decent wipe down. It is also good practice because I need to tear down my wife's so I can replace her screen. Thanks for the awesome video, and for the screen replacement video.

I can't believe I'm still using an S4, but I am. My speaker quit working (phone wouldn't ring when receiving a call, no alarms, etc.). I have an old S4 that had a cracked screen which was replaced under warranty some time ago. Using this video, I was able to swap out the parts from the old phone to get my S4 speaker working again. It wasn't the speaker module either, as I tried that first and it didn't fix the problem. It was the little circuit board and cable that is underneath the speaker. This video saved me having to replace my phone. THANK YOU so much for this.

Excellent lesson! Clear, concise, and easy to follow.
I had always thought my S4's front camera was crap quality and never really used it. On a recent vacation selfies came in handy. I looked closely at the front camera and saw it was 80% blocked by a black strip of plastic in front of the lens.
It turns out the front facing camera had a manufacturing defect: the CCD was obscured by a very thin sticky ring that sticks to the face of the camera. I followed your video and removed the front camera. The problem was clearly visible. I peeled of the sticky ring and repositioned it in the correct location.
At last, my selfie pics are much improved in quality. Thanks again!

Thanks for making this great and highly detailed video! I used the video to help me replace my shattered glass and damaged digitizer on my Samsung S4, both were damaged in a very hard drop. The tiny black screen on the mic rubber gasket fell off removing it, thanks to your video I knew what is was and where it goes. I used a tiny bit of superglue on the ends only and it worked great.
The replacement assembly (LCD-Digitizer-Touch-Screen-Display-Frame) works great and makes the phone look brand new.

Managed to get it working! 3 rd time digitizer lucky! After fitting the digitizer still had the same fault. I noticed that the connector to from the digitizer didn't click in properly. Managed to sort this by removing the motherboard and clicking the digitizer to it that way. It is supposed to be a genuine part but who knows? Anyway all working now. Thanks so much for giving up your free time and responding to my posts. You are a gentleman.

My proximity sensor was acting like something was near the earpiece all the time. Blowing a duster through the earpiece from outside worked for a while, but stopped.
