Hey just finished replacing my screen using your guide and am very happy with the result. One thing to add my new screen did not have the volume power flex on it so i took it off the old one. Some advice when you do this, there is a little gap in the middle of the volume flex that you can get your tweezers in to pop it out and take it off slowly.
So my father handed me my mother's phone, a battery, and a kit and said "can you replace the battery for me". I didn't even know the model (thanks Google photo search 😂). Awesome video, quick and to the point. It took me about 15 minutes to complete the swap. Thank you, subscribed to your channel because of it.
I just finished replacing my screen all by myself thanks to you. For some reason, places were going to charge me as much as I paid for the phone. Bought a kit on Amazon for $25 after I found and watched your video the first time. My phone had 1 less screw on the top and the bottom then yours, also a rubber gasket from the screen camera that popped out from my broken screen so I added it to my new one. Thank you so much for making this video. Very clear instructions.
Hi I just finished a screen replacement on my girlfriends Galaxy A14. I found your tutorial absolutely spot on with clear and easy instructions to follow. It made the whole processes easy to follow as a relative novice. So thank you for the video tutorial and Ill make sure to follow and support your channel. S W Foley London GB
Such a straightforward repair and considering the internet has so many videos it's hard to believe that people still bring these into stores to have them repaired I mean I guess some people just don't feel they could do it but I believe anybody could do it but good for the repair shops I suppose
Thank you so much! I got my phone wet at the lake, and it seemed like the phone was working, but the screen was bad. Repair store told me 3 days to get the part and fix it for $90. I bought a new phone for $80 and took the mother and daughter board out of the old one and installed with the new screen and battery. Wallah!!! I used the old Sim card and so I didn't have to activate a new phone and go thru all the nonsense that involves.
OMG thank u !!! 😊 My daughter smashed her screen and was panicking that her gran was gona get angry (she purchased the phone). I loved the step by step process and was able to follow easily and everything works as it shud. I personally had a little bother getting the power button put back in properly 😊
followed this and it's really thorough. I like when the repair person narrates instead of annoying music and just points at the stuff. that said, dude didn't transfer over the side buttons to the new shell (i think he was just just showing how to replace a screen but didn't actually replace the screen?) Regardless if you don't transfer over the side buttons, you won't have volume/ bootloader control and may encounter an error.
This video was perfect. I was able to switch my sons phone screen with this. Thank you. Odd thing though. My new screen didn't come with the volume toggle and power button spring strip. I had to peel it off the old one. Very precarious. Could've torn very easily.
This is kind of lengthy but I just wanted to praise your excellent video. I viewed several videos for this repair and yours is the best. Great clarity and detail. I just replaced my screen. I"ve had a few issues though, that have nothing to do with your video or technique. I replaced my screen about two weeks ago. First it was working great after I replaced the screen and all was done. Then a few days later it died. wouldnt powe up. Opened it up and found the power to the battery wasnt connected completely. Okay. My mistake for not ensuring the connector was completely snapped into place. Fixed that. Worked fine for 3 or 4 days. But now it will randomly shut down but NEVER when Im using it. I'll pick it up after not having used it for a few hours, full battery, and it will be off. Literaly every time I pick it up after more than 10 minutes of inactivity, it will be off. Ive checked settings. to see if there is something that might be shutting it down after inactivity. NOPE. AND It always powers right up. Always. So last night I opened it up again. Couldnt find ANYTHING disconnected or out of place. And its still shutting down randomly. I cant handle that. Im a mom, a grandma AND I have a lot of friends that are like kids that always need a ride or need something so Ive gotta have a phone that is dependable. Not Samsungs fault, I guess I mustve done some damage when I attempted to repair it myself. This phone is a pretty decent phone. And affordable too. I put it away because of the broken screen but dug it out again and started using it and replaced the screen and decided I really liked this model. But I think its time to bite the bullet and just buy a new phone. Love your video though. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for this! Great video and really easy to follow. Especially helpful as the screen replacement kit I ordered came with no instructions at all! I had a bit of a scare in the middle when you mentioned that there were different screens for the 4G and 5G, but thankfully I already had the right one.
Very helpful. I did need to transfer a "button pad" with electronic ribbon attached to it to my new case(from Amazon). Thank you. I had success with your help!
Thank you for the video. Perfect video. I imagine quite a few folks saved some money because of your video. Thanks again. P.S. If your phone has a black and white charging wire be sure to note it. The wires ca m reach each other's plug. Wont charge till it's right.
@iDoctorUK Great video, you made it look easy, I'm also in this situation, got the a14 as a backup, didn't care to get a case, 3 months in, the screen is smashed, still works though, I got a replacement screen but I got the 5g version. I would love to know if it will fit and work with the 4g version I have.
Great video thanks. After fitting the new screen I couldn't get the phone to power up, I tool me a while to realise the new screen didn't have the power and volume printed circuit so I managed to sway the old old one over, by which time I broke the coaxil cable so now looking how to mend that 😂
WOW, you make it look so easy. I currently repair Xbox controllers but someone I know need a screen replaced so this was awesome to watch. Thanks you :)
Watched this video after dropping my phone after 100x and it got a shattered screen cuz it hit a rock after bouncing. I have 2 young kiddos who use my phone too, so i panicked and found this video. I'm getting my new screen soon and am excited to save 100s on fixing my phone!
You forgot to remove the blue plastic film on the thermal pad @7:22. Also I’d recommend transferring the battery pull tab from the original screen over to the new screen (easily peels off the black adhesive sticker) so you don’t have to pry the battery out and risk bending it in the future. Other than that very good guide
Ty ! Got a very happy niese now :D NOTE: @7:23 When realigning the motherboard, put it into/under the small recess on the left side in the chassi. Slide it from right to left and push it down. Then it mb wont be wiggly. Not sure if its very nessesary, but just a note :)
Good tutorial. I replaced my son's phone screen. However I'm getting an error on the screen saying a download of a custom os can cause issues press volume up to continue, down to cancel. None of the buttons respond. I'm thinking the model I bought is wrong or not made the exact same. Can you provide a store where you buy yours so I can make sure and get the right one?
Theres a solid chance the replacement you got didn't include the actual buttons and ribbon cable for them, which would have to be transferred from the old screen.
Some replacement screens don't have the power button ribon. Mine didn't and I wondered why it would not start. Went back in your video and opened my phone and noticed the difference. Peeled off and put on new part. Thaks for the video without it I would not of been able to replace the screen.
Just tried to replace mine and new part didn't have power or volume connections, looked like they were soldered and glued onto original so didn't want to risk damage to them by removing them may look for replacement screen only.
Fixed phone thank you! One thing that happend that didn't show in the video may happen to others is when removing the plate from motherboard, when removing 10screws the middle back camera was stuck to the piece , caution when removing
Where did you get your replacement screen from? All the ones I see don't include the button sensor, and I don't want to go through the hassle of transferring it over.
In Australia. I just took my A14 '145' 5 g to get new screen professionally replaced. The first guy said it actually needs a '146' , 145 doesn't fit. Second guy had a 146 but said it doesn't fit, you need a 145. I've still got a very cracked screen.
I just finished to install. Your instructions are amazing but now is not switching on . The battery works but the on/off button is not. The problem is that the new glass doesn’t have the connectors. I would have to remove from the old one but it seems impossible without to break them . The glow is too strong and risk to cause damages
interesting, you seem to know a lot about it. can you guide me as to where to get all the tools like magnifier glass microspcope n tools n gears because i want to do career into it. i did not go far in school n want to make a living on it
2:08 My phone has nine screws at the top instead of 10 and a slightly different looking battery. Is this a normal variation or do I have a different phone in the A series? 2:50 7 screws on the bpttpm onstead of 8. Definitely different from how everything looks pn screen, but. similar enough to follow along. So scaredof being to rough with the parts and nreaking anything. If I get to part thhat is too different I can always retrace my steps, hopefully.
Just want to let you know I opened up my a14 4g LTE , the inside is not the same as yours. It has a different frame altogether. The ear speaker doesn't even fit the new screen and frame, it's too wide. When I tried to take them apart, it had glue on the inside. I think some of the a14 4g has mixed matched parts. Not sure what I'm gonna do.
Screen all fixed but after reassembly phone thinks the headphones are in and i cant find a way of getting it to play sound, out loud. The new screen came with speaker and i even took apart again and swapped old speaker for new but still no joy. Any ideas?
Great tutorials. However, there's too much to be done. I'll contact a technician rather than attempting to do it on my own. Besides, and finally, I don't have the tools to do it.
Good tutorial. Battery was abit tough but if you have a little IPA it will help you a lot. Thanks iDoctor for the really good tutorial and saved me £80. :)
This was easier than I thot. But it just flashes to push one of 3 buttons. Problem is the side of the screen doesn't have an area for the volume up n down buttons. Or fingerprint sensor. So mine won't right.
I have followed the video but the screen won’t come on, I can feel that power button is working as it vibrates when you hold the power button down, but nothing on the screen at all

Thank you these flex cables are WAY too easy to break
So my father handed me my mother's phone, a battery, and a kit and said "can you replace the battery for me". I didn't even know the model (thanks Google photo search 😂).

Hallo, it seems "easy" looking at iDoctor. Do you think I can do it by myself?
Thanks a lot

Thanks mate. That's given me the confidence to buy a new screen and fit it myself. Cheers.
No problem 👍
Me too, mate.

Mine didn't either and I tore it. Day ruiner right there.
Same issue and impossible to remove from the old glass

I just ordered a kit to replace my screen. Thanks for the presentation. Going to give it a try
Did you succeed?😂
Thank you for the video. I followed your guide. The phone turned on, and everything seemed to be working. I'm charging the phone now. 😊

Thank you, the demo was amazing & followed it step by step..I now have a repaired phone awesome 👌
Thanks for the tutorial just asking if it would be the exact same procedure for Samsung A12 with a broken LCD screen
It’s very similar. Here’s a link for an a12 screen replacement
@iDoctorUK Great video, you made it look easy, I'm also in this situation, got the a14 as a backup, didn't care to get a case, 3 months in, the screen is smashed, still works though, I got a replacement screen but I got the 5g version. spot on.. where do u buy replacement parts? :)
Hey , Great video. I have done it twice now on my own ! Thanks
Great video thanks. After fitting the new screen I couldn't get the phone to power up, I tool me a while to realise the new screen didn't have the power and volume printed circuit so I managed to sway the old old one over, by which time I broke the coaxil cable so now looking how to mend that 😂
This is happening to me too. A quick tutorial on how to swap these over would be great
Hallo,
First of all, thank you. It seems "easy" looking at you: do you think I can do it by myself?
Thanks again
This was a great explanation and it went like a breeze!
Great stuff!!
Glad to hear it went well
NP
Awsome video. Took me step by step. I had a new screen in no time. Thanks
Glad it helped
WOW, you make it look so easy. I currently repair Xbox controllers but someone I know need a screen replaced so this was awesome to watch. Thanks you :)
You do not waste time. I love that
Watched this video after dropping my phone after 100x and it got a shattered screen cuz it hit a rock after bouncing. I have 2 young kiddos who use my phone too, so i panicked and found this video. I'm getting my new screen soon and am excited to save 100s on fixing my phone!
I can use this tutorial for the a15 model too right ??
Excellent! Like others said, I only had to move the rubber buttons to the new frame. For the rest an excellent movie! 👏
This is great, i have replaced my daughter's screen twice now.😊
You forgot to remove the blue plastic film on the thermal pad @7:22. Spot on. Got the wife's screen swapped out. Thanks for sharing the process.
Getting ready to swap mine out. I feel confident after watching your vid. Thanks heaps. BTW you don't sound Chinese at all.
Good tutorial. I replaced my son's phone screen. However I'm getting an error on the screen saying a download of a custom os can cause issues press volume up to continue, down to cancel. Theres a solid chance the replacement you got didn't include the actual buttons and ribbon cable for them, which would have to be transferred from the old screen.
Nice work I also aspire to have my own phone repair workshop
Can we ger a link for the screen replacement
Some replacement screens don't have the power button ribon. Mine didn't and I wondered why it would not start. Went back in your video and opened my phone and noticed the difference. Peeled off and put on new part. Thaks for the video without it I would not of been able to replace the screen.
I ordered a replacement screen but had the power ribbon missing as well. How did you fix the issue? Did you reorder another replacement??
That’s interesting, I’ll make a note of this going forward and include it in future tutorials.
Mine did not come with one as well. I ordered from amazon
Just tried to replace mine and new part didn't have power or volume connections, looked like they were soldered and glued onto original so didn't want to risk damage to them by removing them may look for replacement screen only.
It’s glued onto the original. I Carefully peeled it off.
Fixed phone thank you! One thing that happend that didn't show in the video may happen to others is when removing the plate from motherboard, when removing 10screws the middle back camera was stuck to the piece , caution when removing
Thanks for watching and thanks for your tip 👌

hello thanks for sharing when replacing the screen does the memory from the phone affected?
The motherboard is the same so I don't think memory will be affected. 🤔
@@owenbarnes7186 Thank you
Thanks most informative. I'm going to have a craic at fixing mine
Thanks for your excellent video 👍👍
How do you charge for A14 screen thankyou lee.
Dose it depend on whatthe phone is to get the correct screen? And how to order or where to get it? ..
Well done Excellent tutorial 👍👍👍

Thank you so much for a very helpful tutorial. Will share and let others know of your channel
Did I miss where you purchased the replacement screen?
Thank you so much 😊 God Bless you
Nice vid, worked a treat
where did u buy the phone screen?
great video, thank you
Worked great. Thank you!
How much would this type of repair cost though??
interesting, you seem to know a lot about it.
can you guide me as to where to get all the tools like magnifier glass microspcope n tools n gears because i want to do career into it. i did not go far in school n want to make a living on it
Where do I order a new screen and how much dose it cost
I'm gonna do it !
Wait, does this work on every Samsung or just A14 or higher?
If my screen already fell off do I need to open the back ?
where did you get the kit
The circle shaped tiny whole where you put the coaxial cable is broken, how to fix it? Do i solder it to stick it back the motherboard?
2:08 My phone has nine screws at the top instead of 10 and a slightly different looking battery. Is this a normal variation or do I have a different phone in the A series?

Hey can you help me lol I didn’t everything correct but everytime I apply the camera cover the screen turns blue saying warning custom is any fix ?
Just want to let you know I opened up my a14 4g LTE , the inside is not the same as yours. It has a different frame altogether. The ear speaker doesn't even fit the new screen and frame, it's too wide. When I tried to take them apart, it had glue on the inside.

I change te screen. I turn on phone all ok after I put to charge phone. But now phone not turn on. I dont now the why.😢
very good 👍
Screen all fixed but after reassembly phone thinks the headphones are in and i cant find a way of getting it to play sound, out loud. The new screen came with speaker and i even took apart again and swapped old speaker for new but still no joy. Any ideas?
Great vid but for some reason the phone that I'm working on has one less screw per round
There are a few variations of this model with different screw layouts
Nice job now going go do it
Good luck 🤞
I can not get this spring bar behind the power button back on. I have an A13 and i have no clue how to fix that. 😢
Can i have a link for a new screen
I ordered display from AliExpress and guess what? It came without the contacts circuit of the power and volume buttons. Any suggestions?
I’m having trouble to find the right part to this phone. The model is SM-146U. Anyone knows?
hi 5g version same?
Great tutorials. However, there's too much to be done. I'll contact a technician rather than attempting to do it on my own. Besides, and finally, I don't have the tools to do it.
i have an samsung a22 and i buyed a screen with frame, and on the old frame there is a type of cell how i have to glue it on d

Sir I have finished mobile phone and laptop technology course and I have 1 year experience certificate can you give me a job in uk
Good tutorial. Battery was abit tough but if you have a little IPA it will help you a lot. Thanks iDoctor for the really good tutorial and saved me £80. :)
Well done 👍🙏✅
Where can I find a galaxy a14 5G screen I literally just broke my screen
Did all that but speaker is not working. What is the problem and workable solution?
Maybe you forgot to transfer over the speaker from the old screen.
This was easier than I thot. But it just flashes to push one of 3 buttons. Problem is the side of the screen doesn't have an area for the volume up n down buttons. Or fingerprint sensor. So mine won't right.
Thank u
After watching this video on how to replace the screen, I've decided I'm going to throw my cracked phone in the garbage.
Deciding if I want to pay 130 or fix it myself
lol

I have followed the video but the screen won’t come on, I can feel that power button is working as it vibrates when you hold the power button down, but nothing on the screen at all
I have a phone with a crack glass i want to fix does anyone have any suggestions by anychance
Why didnt he use glue to seal the back cover or something,im new to this but its just what ive seen in person. Anyone have an answer?
Not all phones are water proof or resistant, including this one. It uses plastic clips to hold it together.
