Mallett may have been the dumbest guy to ever put on a Razorback uniform, but man he could throw the ball all over the field.
You can't be completely dumb and be a quarterback. You have to understand complex plays and have precise timing, especially in a Petrino offense. It isn't just throwing the ball. You have to be able to process a lot of complex movements going on at once. There are not many stupid quarterbacks that are good quarterbacks. Some make bad choices in their life, but they aren't 'dumb.'

And Houston Nutt told Mallet he’d never be a Razorback QB but might make a good TE. That’s why he went to Michigan before Bobby P got here.
