Tried 2017 in a boutique and it performed very well, easily above average, I could smell it the next day.

my favourite from the line is the original homme, which is mostly forgotten at this point, but that aside i have to give it to dhp for its absolute beast mode , dhp is a a winter staple here in scandinavia ,
Was doing some shopping and found these online...was kicking it back and forth as to which one to go for...I believe I will give the DHI a chance. Great video 👍. Thank you.
Was at the airport, tried the Old Dior Homme Intense and it was so great, chocolate and sweetness. The new version I purchased, was a bit of a disappointment, not as intense and the performance definitely isn’t there. I got 10 hours out of the original on my skin, and the newer version maybe 5 hours? Unless I’m going nose blind to it but I quite doubt it.
Excellent, well reasoned review. I just obtained DHP from a colleague who returned from Paris and compared both this evening. Your analysis is spot on. I love both and feel there is more versatility in DHI. However, both are masterpieces.
@@ahmadabdalkhan8743 I actually prefer Dior Homme Intense. The Iris note in DHI is perfectly balanced and gentlemanly. I bought DHI after owning DHP but by accident not knowing the 2 existed. I instantly knew there was something different and that the smell just wasn't right. It wasn't until i compared the two bottles i realised my mistake. DHP all the way.
Chris, i actually prefer DHI because i am loving iris more and more, and i feel that the oud & leather in DHP interfere or compete with the iris a tad too much. It makes me ask: Is it an iris frag or a leather frag? Plus, i think oud kind of gives me a slight allergic like mild headache. But, i think DHP makes a great leather frag. In fact, if i wanted a leather frag, i would buy DHP over other prominent leather frags like Hombre Leather. I think that Hombre Leather and other famous leather frags are too leather focused. Leather is too harsh a note to be a lead note in my opinion. So, DHP is great in that regard because the leather is not overwhelmingly the lead note, but still very prominent. But, back to my love for iris and powdery frags. I think DHI better highlights the iris and powderiness, and its more versatile as a bonus. Just my way of thinking.
Hi Criss, keep up the videos you awesome. Question for you , i have the parfum version should i get the intense version? What do you think of the edt version? Thank you in advance 😊

Imo DHP is more on the floral side with an evolution that brings the fragrance way to the drydown into a totally different scent. DHI it's more linear and Iris and lavander dominates the scent from top to bottom. So I think it's all about personal taste I guess. For example I'm not into floral scent exception for noir de noir, but that's another story.
It's officially discontinued and not available anywhere. Except from second hand owners. The line has a new one called Dior homme Parfum 2020, hence the former, 2014-2019, is discontinued. The prices are rising everywhere.
I love DH, DHI & DHE. Never smelled DHP. Recently DHP is pooping up in some groups for sale, between $128-$139, which I guess is good for a discontinued? fragrance. The issue with me is, DHP is only 75ml. I can find DHI in 150ml for around $116 on E-Bay. So while DHP might perfom better, I can get twice as much DHI for less money and with you saying the differences are negligible, why pony up the money for DHP? Excellent breakdown!
Just realised there's an 'original' (EDT) Chris on the Dior website. Have you tried this? Obviously wanting to know if it's the same as the parfum in scent profile.
Ive liked both of these a lot.. But sometimes i feel they both come off a little feminine to other people when i wear it.. Even DHP which i thought would be more masculine because of the leather, but people get the powder a lot and the rose. .. I still enjoy them though
I've just got samples of these two (and DH original too) and your description and analysis of them seems bang on and what I'm finding too. The DH original is interesting too. They kind of go in this order from lightest to thickest and strongest DHO>DHI>DHP. It's a tough one deciding which one(s) to buy. DHP definitely (if available). But if buying another does one then leave out DHI as the most similar to DHP and buy DHO or does one get DHI and DHP as both have a bit more weight and performance. Frankly I'd wear all three of I had them..
Does your opinion still hold?! :) I came here after the 25 can't and won't stop recommending video. I wanted to buy one formal fragrance and to see them both on your list made me search and guess what I found a video that compared them and it was by you! hahaha.

The rumours are it's discontinued. I'll be using mine sparingly!
@@FRAGMENTAL it'd truly be a shame, its such great quality
Imo DHP is more on the floral side with an evolution that brings the fragrance way to the drydown into a totally different scent. DHI it's more linear and Iris and lavander dominates the scent from top to bottom. So I think it's all about personal taste I guess. For example I'm not into floral scent exception for noir de noir, but that's another story.
Now after testing DHP a lot it became a love and love DHI too. Awsome awsome fragrances but DHP is very hard to find now mayby allready discontinued
Its not discontinued. It's just to expensive for walmarts etc lol
@@th0msedk yeah apparently it is discontinued I can't even get it on Diors Website plus Creed-full price-is sold on Walmarts website.
Runs with Bulls Its there in Europe
I just got Valentino Uomo Intense, should I get DHP ???????
Just realised there's an 'original' (EDT) Chris on the Dior website. Have you tried this? Obviously wanting to know if it's the same as the parfum in scent profile.
Now that its been a year and a half I just want to know which 1 do you enjoy wearing it still... parfum or intense?
I think they are quite the same... I have DHI and Love it.
Dior homme intense parfume vs Dior homme eau de Toilette?
Which would you reconize? Greetings from Germany 🙏
Ive liked both of these a lot.. But sometimes i feel they both come off a little feminine to other people when i wear it.. Even DHP which i thought would be more masculine because of the leather, but people get the powder a lot and the rose. .. I still enjoy them though
Is the intense eau de parfum ?
Always love your stuff. Would dig Prada L'Homme vs Dior Homme for office use!
The Prada stuff is so weak. Shouldn't that at-least be L'Homme Intense vs Dior Homme in that case?
@ I've moved on from designers tbh. Rosendo Mateu 3 for the office.
Simple solution here buy both! Use for different occasions.
Which one would you say reminds you the most of the original EDT from 2005? I find the 2020 EDT really boring, so I will shift to one of these🙂
Nice comparison, Chris. I think DHP is a darker version of DHI and worth owning both.
Yes I agree! 👍
Haven't smelled DHI, but DHP is amazing.
Not for everyone though.
Another great content Chris, I heard DHP is hard to find here in North America /USA.
Yes, distressing rumours it's discontinued 🙊
The reformulation of DHI sucks indeed. Only get the bottle of 2020 or before.
Does your opinion still hold?! :)
I came here after the 25 can't and won't stop recommending video. I wanted to buy one formal fragrance and to see them both on your list made me search and guess what I found a video that compared them and it was by you! hahaha.
It's good I have both parfume and intense because the new reformulated versions seriously are crap.
i have both. and i love them both !
when i wear the parfum version it gets me alot of compliments whereever i go shopping and people ask me which fragrance it is . so i tell them and they always thank me. but what really made me feel funny was when i went into the dior boutique in madrid. they could not reconize the smell .
I think Dhp is discontinued. Cannot find it anywhere
hi Chris! i picture DHI in a grey suit and DHP in a black leather jacket. scent-wise i find DHP has more character and depth than DHI. different tastes and different styles. i recommend to have both. cheers.
Hey Kasey! Yes I enjoy wearing both 👍
I enjoy both of these but only own DHP.
I do slightly prefer it over Intense but would like to have DHI part of my collection one day. Enjoyed the video Bro and nice to see you pass 9K ✌🏻
Thanks mate. I'm in the same position as you. I slightly prefer Parfum but also love Intense.
i have a 2015 batch DHI and performance is through the roof , im happy
Good to know👍
friend, the dior homme intense lot 8D02 year 2018 is a lot of good projection? is the iris the smell of makeup is still present? I await the answer.
where did you get the cool jacket from. I looked on Zara but couldnt find it
Iam a girl and iam in love in this perfume dior homme , could i apply it for myself ?? Because i love it alot?
Go for it!
@@FRAGMENTAL ok i will thank u for encouraging me i was hezitated 🥰🥰
DHI is probably more wearable then DHP. But both are masterpieces.
they are both eau de parfum
Great comparison! I love DHI but I've never tried DHP. DHP costs a lot more
Thanks Armin👍
I love both of these.. total stunners
True Mark!
Thanks very much this video was definitely informative
What about Givenchy Gentleman EDP vs DHI or DH?
DHP is my #1!
I have both in my collection and agree with your review 110%.....👌👌👌very accurate review.
You have a great nose 😉
