Honestly, it takes time to really appreciate the genius dna od Homme Intense. When i first smelled it it didnt like it at all... I put it to the side and didnt give it a chance for long time. But then...... Man it wasn't until i gvae it a couple of more wears that i realised thay Homme Intense is absolutely great scent and that i started LOVING IT. It is really one of those fragrances that takes longer to really get to know it and once you do it becomes one of your all time favorites... Not for wearing but just smelling the scent dna because it is so rich and complex and alluring

Both are arguably my favorite designer fragrances of all time & I've owned & have quite a few. DHI was the fragrance that got me back into collecting & wearing fragrances again after a hiatus for a few years. I received a bottle for Christmas 2008 & I completely fell in love with it. When I got my nose on DHP I was blown away a second time. I personally think DHI leans more feminine & DHP more masculine with the added leather note & both are more dress up, suit & tie affair but can also be worn with the correct attire at a more laid back, casual event or date night setting. To conclude, I have to say that I completely adore this fragrance DNA but there are many who don't, claiming that the Iris note makes it "smell like a women's fragrance" which is understandable but completely irrelevant as perfumes are subjective & can be worn by both men & women although there are some fragrance notes that will make a scent swing more feminine over masculine or vice versa. But this in my view is perfumery at a high level, a true masterpiece by Monsieur Francois Demachy.

I have been expirementing with dior homme intense lately. I wasnt a wearer of it, but i had a sample of the older stuff laying around, it had been in my storage unit for years, exposed to heat, cold and everything, and when i sprayed it, it was perfect! Still flawless, i cant believe i passed on it before. Well maybe i just got old enough, im almost 40 now. NOw i appreciate it, well so i go to buy a bottle and after getting it, i realize its reformulated, i think.., ITs good still but the iris isnt the same.. The new one is slightly more masuculine and i smell cocoa more than the vanilla. Im torn, i like em both.. The new one is easier to wear i think but i like that old one..yet the old one suits me less. I think the new one is more versitile but less sexy.. I just wear it with my jogger suit, smellin like a rich guy that woke up, still smelling of expensive cologne from last night, and put his cumfy outfit on. lol

Great video bro! Christian dior homme intense is a personal favorite. You're absolutely right about the beauty and elegance of the fragrance. I was once told that I smelled like Ireland, what ever that means lol but it was it a great compliment and I just love the way it smells on me!

JC the humbling experience when you hit 400 subscribers is greatness. Now let's get you to 40K subscribers. I'm with you on the side by side comparison. With the initial smell it was Parfum all day but then 2 hours into it, I kept wanting to smell intense. I feel the intense version is more versatile. In addition its brighter. Parfum is more night out at a private setting like a Jazz or poetry spot. Both are nice!

I have the old formulation of Dior Homme Intense (2007) and it's absolutely yummy. Haven't tried the Parfum version, are they similar? I mean is it redundant to own both? Can't get my nose on it from where I live. Also, how does the (2007) intense compare to the new edition?
Dude. If you like DHI and DHP, try Dior Homme. You will definitely love it. It has the iris cacao vibe with some hint of leather. Very creamy seductive scent. It is such a well blended fragrance. The only downside is that I don't get much performance of this. On my skin, it projects softly for about 2 hours and then it stays there as a skin scent up to probably 5 hours. May be it's because there hot dry weather that I have been testing it. I will have to wait until cooler months to see then. Anyway, awesome review man.

However DHI is amaaazing, date night winner, seductive - women that wear lipstick cant resist it. Hey Mayo. Thanks for the kind words. The formulation in this video is the latest one...and you're right, it doesn't last at all. Its a skin scent after 2 hours for me. For that reason, instead of spending a fortune on a vintage bottle of DHI, I'll stick with DHP. :)

I have the new 100ml of DHP that I bought now in Aug 2020. Its definitely not the 2 sprays projection beast monster people are talking about. It s projects okayish for 1h I can' even wear it now in mild summer at home. And it definitely doesn't last 24h on skin. 4h max and this is not by digging my nose in my skin

DHI was a beast untill 2015 than they secretly changed the ingreadience. I rember wearing it almost the whole summer during World Cup 2014. In Germany (public viewing, bars, school) and every chick complimented me. That scent lasted from morning untill evining without losing it's power. But a bottle of today is just meh...not the same like a few years before

Hey man. A question. I sprayed Dior homme on one hand and intense on other hand. The top and middle notes (1-2 hours) of Dior homme intense were much more pleasant. But the end notes of Dior homme were better than those of intense. Also, Dior homme was alot more pronounced on my skin after about 2 hours. HELP. Is it normal coz I don't know which one to buy!!!

JC, can you get away with 2 sprays under your undershirt in Spring/Summer with Dior Home Intense (DHI) ? To go office dressed up. The idea is not to spray on exposed area of the skin. Your thoughts?
If you'll only be in the office and the building is climate controlled, then you can totally get away with wearing it on your skin. :)
Have you tried Malin and Goetz Dark Rum? If not give it a try.

Tremendous review J. Great comparison, would you say DHP is for winter & DHI is for fall? I agree DHP is more masculine. Faaaam, I couldnt stand Dior Homme at all in the store either. However DHI is amaaazing, date night winner, seductive - women that wear lipstick cant resist it. DHP is a more rugged version like you said leather jacket out at night, DHI fall evening date night or event... great review J! One suggestion, bring down the volume on the background music just a notch. Keep up the great content fam! Salute

Nice video bro...but Im wondering, did you review the latest reformulation of the dior homme intense?? (Late 2015) I understand it is really not that great....Projection not great....Longevity not great either.....earlier versions i understand project like a beast and last 12 hrs
Hey Mayo. Thanks for the kind words. The formulation in this video is the latest one...and you're right, it doesn't last at all. Its a skin scent after 2 hours for me. For that reason, instead of spending a fortune on a vintage bottle of DHI, I'll stick with DHP. :)

I have the new 100ml of DHP that I bought now in Aug 2020.
Its definitely not the 2 sprays projection beast monster people are talking about.
It s projects okayish for 1h I can' even wear it now in mild summer at home.
And it definitely doesn't last 24h on skin. 4h max and this is not by digging my nose in my skin

Thanks Armin. Really appreciate it. Not crazy about DH, but DHI is nice. I wouldn't worry about the current formulation of DHI, still safe to get. Just doesn't last as long, but that might be a good thing. Definitely try DHP if you can. I love it.

Amazing rewiew bro. :) I have same oppinion about DHP and DHI, both are similar, but in same time different. DHP is more powerfull than DHI. I need to decide, which parfum buy, and that is very very hard decision. I'll continue to watch u! :)

DHI was a beast untill 2015 than they secretly changed the ingreadience. I rember wearing it almost the whole summer during World Cup 2014. In Germany (public viewing, bars, school) and every chick complimented me. That scent lasted from morning untill evining without losing it's power. But a bottle of today is just meh...not the same like a few years before

Hi Nicolas, once again, no real errors here! Thank you so much for your kind words. I was never able to try the vintage formulations of DHI. However, after experiencing DHP, I'm not sure if I personally need DHI to be any stronger. Now the two serve different purposes for me. :)

Hey man. A question. I sprayed Dior homme on one hand and intense on other hand. The top and middle notes (1-2 hours) of Dior homme intense were much more pleasant. But the end notes of Dior homme were better than those of intense. Also, Dior homme was alot more pronounced on my skin after about 2 hours. HELP. Is it normal coz I don't know which one to buy!!!
