Something that really helped me was learning about the concept of relationship anarchy. I am recipromantic, but when I am not experiencing romantic attraction, I don't crave it nor romantic relationships. Relationship anarchy gave me a framework for building the kinda of relationships I want, even if they don't meet society's expectations for platonic relationships. Romantic attraction is rare for me, but I have someone in my life who I consider a platonic life partner. Learning about relationship anarachy (RA) really helped normalize that to me and helpe accept the feelings I have for my platonic partner. It's ironic that this concept was created by the polyamorous community but is helpful for my aro-spec and ace-spec self.
I'm ACE but not ARO but art and things like that help with me too ! I'm not spontaneously romantic , I just respond in a "mainstream" way and crave romance in a way I don't ever even think about sex. Thanks for this video ! ❤
Thanks, great ideas. Once I wrote down everything I could remember what was giving me calm and joy in my past and decided to try everything I could out again. For me, it is especially nature and animals (they don’t say you, how you should live and they don’t judge you for being aro ace, just for not feeding them 😅 long walks in the nature allow the thoughts to flow and body to feel alive), and hobbies (you forget about everything else at the moment and you can even connect with other people through this without feeling inferior).
Thanks for your videos. The way you explain seem really caring, sincere and personal. I can hear it in your voice how much you care. Thank you for sharing. I love hearing you thoughts abort it. Keep up the good work.
@fluentlyaspec NO WAY! wow thanks for the suggestion then and a big part of the wow is you're the first I've come across. To everyone around me I'm alien 🤷🏽♀️ (to me that's less distracted lol)
These are amazing tips! Thanks so much for putting your valuable and uplifting infos out there online and being so respectful and caring :) These words mean a lot to me since this has been an aspect of myself that I still struggle with and I feel a bit less alone in it now. I appreciate your video, so thank you!
Here is a comment for the algorithm. ☀️ 😍 ☀️ 🥰 ☀️ 😘 ☀️
I've been using art as a means of self care. Creating art makes me feel positive and I really enjoy the way art can be affirming. 💜

I love this video so much.
Thank you for spreading all this positivity!!
Thank you! It's really true we forget good things when in a bad place... got examples of characters?
Georgia in the book Loveless really resonated with me. I know that’s a pretty standard one but I have never felt so authentically seen
@fluentlyaspec thanks! I'll have to take a look :) OK for the sex averse?
@@samiko6091yes I’m sex-averse myself, and it spoke to me as if it were my own brain speaking.

@fluentlyaspec read the first few pages ... a bit too 🤮 new video question is there a difference between sex averse and sex repulsed
