- He definitely casts magics faster, more meteors, chains together melee attacks he didnt before and uses more than 3 Ecliptic Meteors now.
But overall patience will win you the fight, not quite sure how much harder he hits than regular Behemoth because I didn't let Defense Up Large wear off, but didn't seem too bad.
I'm normally more aggresive with the HH but this was only my second attempt at this guy, (first attempt two randoms died in the first zone so I decided to cut my losses).
So i'd really only had around 5 minutes experience against him so was still in learning mode, didn't want to get caught out by anything new.
Hoepfully this vid will give some people a heads up on some of his new behaviors, also the pillars at the start doing quite a bit more damage now so his HP has been inflated as well.
What i've mentioned is by no means definitely all his new moves, since i've only had 20 minutes'ish fighting him, just getting an early vid out for people who want to get tactics for him.
I mentioned the 30 minutes after release because i'm honestly surprised I got a capable team that quick, having a lucky day, got 11/14 of the new kulve weapons as well before the event left.
One last thing, you only need to beat him once for the title and full set of layered drachen armour, good news for some people I think.

You are so lucky that you met some really good teammates. The lance did his job so well, light bow gun slice support and heal, charge blade and HH damage output. Everything was so perfect
Yeah, now that i've watched it back i've realised that lol.
With it still being a learning experience during this fight I was just super focused on my job throughout, wasn't really taking in too much of what other people were doing.
Only thing I was watching my team mates for was low HP for lifepowders, never had to use one so yeah they were great!
So big thanks and great job to my team.

Honestly, they need to heal right after the damage...
Almost did it tonight. I had a group of 2 long bowgun (and cluster bombs), 1 lance/ gunlance, and dps (and healer), almost did it in the end. But not the rest of the team not doing healing except me. So the last round we died, because not enough heal. XD Just one last ecliptic meteor to go.
Guys look at the randoms he got. They're asain/japanese/chinese/Korean whatever. We all know damn well how good they are lmao

I have to admit it was one of the weapons i'd purposely not played because I left 4-5 weapons for the pc release to play with friends so i'd sort of be a newbie too.
But the new taroth pipe dropped for me a few days ago and I just had to try it out, i'm a little bit hooked now.
Ah, the god bagpipe... People give it shade but it isn't a bad of a weapon thb, I start playing careless whispers and toto by africa whenever I'm playing a song so they stop complaining that I'm using a HH... But great vid! I suck so I still am having trouble with it.

The only videos I put any thought into are build videos so these kill vids are mostly spur of the moment, so I can just show my hunts in general.
There's so many speed run videos that i'd rather go the other route and just show my every day fights, maybe they'll be more relatable to a different group other than speed runners.
I honestly don't put much thought into them though, so appreciate your good feedback.

they almost force you to have a tank almost always gaining enmity.
Otherwise its chaos.
The tank is the real key honestly otherwise the tornados cut off most of the room and chaos ensues. Also a decent peak performance/wide range set works wonders for this fight. Lunastra weapons are great too.
I also used hunting horn, though I go full support with speed eating, wide range, and evade extend and divine bless to make sure I don’t cart when I wanna get hits in.
Good thing we don’t get penalized for drinking hella potions.
The funny thing about all my fights with expert behemoth is that he meteors the 3rd phase without dropping a single comet, so we all had to jump it, which we somehow did all in unison! Fucking epic!
The fight is hard, but I love it.
Kodos to the tank for continuously gaining his enmity like a true tank should. Most lances i see out there just keep jabbing at his legs like cowards. Watch and learn

Just how much different is it? And did they change the bnb combos?
I haven't even been playing it for a full week yet, and have minimum experience with it from other games.

Yo tanks, 5 dragon pods = emnity. You dont even need to shoot them at his face. He drops them in area 1 after the ecliptic and in area 3 after the dps check.

I was really hoping to do a solo EX behemoth video, but been really busy during this event period, I think i'd probably need an extended amount of time to get a win.

This is the feared overpowered behemoth???? I'm saddened at what has become of monster hunter's online community if they find this hard, coming from someone who plays both MHGU and FFXIV often. Good job on the run by the way.

I wouldn't take this video as your run of the mill EX Behemoth run though.
It's a lot tougher than this video shows, coming from someone who has played every MH game since it's original release on ps2, and also a 15 year veteran of FF11.
Although been replaying all the 3ds games starting with 3 ultimate all the way up to XX/MHGU, to teach my nephew the game better since it almost hurt to watch his playstyle thanks to him starting with world lol, and yeah, MH4U end game lvl 140 guild quests make all other MH games (except frontier) look like child's play, but drastically improved him as a player now.
So yeah, sort of agree that this is pretty easy too if comparing to 4U :) but same goes for MHGU, arguably the easiest MH cos of the styles, mainly adept, but I treat MHGU for what it's meant to be, a more fun MH game designed to be taken less seriously, just enjoyable using flashy styles/hunter arts and palicos of course.
Amazing job! You play HH like a beast. Makes me want to use it.

For those who wants easy mode with randoms, just go for taroth assault glutton tank build(3 shield) Spam your spread shots on the head while behemoth is casting tornado you will get the aggro in about 10 shots Then just guard up and behemoth will only be hitting you, your team can just spam cluster after that. And try to get level 5 wide range in case your teammades need healing. And dont get to far/close to the comet, you know the reason EZ 15 min clear with randoms.
Pick up the dragon pods around to get faster aggro on u

Just did a 5 minute fight before this winning run, two people carted in the first zone so called it quits on the first run.
I like the set too. I use something very similar except no max might or peak performance. I have max crit eye, max atk boost, max exploit, max slugger, max vitality, max sheathing and 2 evade extender with 1 crit boost. However, I’ve been sticking with the poison hh (datura) for the slots but also because I couldn’t get enough affinity on vero and still have some quality of life skills like max health and sheathing and evade extender, to justify using it. But now I see you or set 👌 i like
This set is just my standard attack set, but I swapped the attack lvl 4 for health boost lvl 3, think if I do this fight anymore times with HH i'll just stick with my full attack set from now on though.

hey can you stack time on defense up or why did you spamm it? and if yes can you stack it infinite times?
It doesnt stack. He simple refresh the timer anew with each Def Up.

On the Deep Vero I find the Defense song to be my favourite to store encores with.
You get good damage with the combo and can even stack the song really fast with cancel jab attacks during.
It uses your biggest damage normal attack twice, so it's great for enemies like Behemoth where you find yourself running in and out of melee cos of his spin attack.
Just run in, hit it with a big hit, if enemie is gonna do something to hit you, just turn tail, go back in repeat.

I wish I could have a run like this one, I was tanking with the S&S he did the ecliptic on 3 stage killing 2 out of the 3 of us, I somehow managed to jump it, and kept the aggro, right when everyone was back he did it again, no rocks just ecliptic, but I jump it twice so that felt good. On this one he throws a rock before ecliptic, that's some good luck
He ecliptic in 3rd stage only if you don't do enough damage. You have I think 5 minutes before ecliptic
Oooh so the random that left at stage 1 really fuck us up, well mounting glitch seems useless if you don't have range weapons during mountings then, since you can't keep up with the dps at 3rd
does he only spawn one comet when you got the teo's arena? (I forgot the actual area number) cause it looks like you get one until the next ecliptic meteor.

He only spawns one comet each time in each area, and he can do multiple meteors

I also learned that you need to do enough damage to him to spawn a comet according to npc dialogue.

Closest I got was to stage three. There he summoned the ecliptic meteor but never summoned any comets and wiped the team.
Every other run randos just fight on top of the comets killing any chance to survive ecliptic meteor
Think stage three is a DPS check, if you do enough to push him to stage four he doesn't drop it, but if you don't, he drops the meteor. You can dodge it with either the jump emote or by running out of the area though.
Fuck man, you have to be one of the best teams I have seen in UA-cam. OMG I love HH, but I am a piece of shit with it ahahaha haha, you are a god man

We had a problem with 3rd phase not dropping any comet on e.meteor 2x and us failing the jump i dnt get it, u guys had a comet drop every phase for the e.meteor
3rd phase is a dps check, if you meet it he moves on, if not its basically a fail
I haven't run the fight enough to know, but maybe meteors are not a guarantee on him now?
I don't have a clue though, sorry, only time he didn't drop one in this run was when we beat the dmg threshold in phase 3 and he went straight to 4.

Thanks, yeah I prefer the defense buff to other horns heals for multiplayer personally.

He becomes immune after a certain amount or point. So no more infinite flashing, and more tornadoes
You get 2 flash pods
Now I have to go farm Jho for that horn

how did it become XL ?
When you play Attack up Large/Defence up Large twice or encore it, it becomes XL.
how do u play all the tunes in the list simultaneously and make it upgrade to XL instantly and how do you know if the XL buffs are over?
The name of the buff in the top right hand corner will change back to white when it's no longer active.
To play all stored tunes at once just tap R2/right trigger and let it go.
It doesn't upgrade instantly to XL, but tapping R2/right trigger again during the song extends it and upgrades it.
That guy that died right before the kill. lol

It's pretty much my full attacking set ,except I swapped a little bit out so I could get 200 HP.
when I go in solo i can get 1150 or so but in a party i can barely get over 100 not sure whats going on.
Are you sure your'e not mistaking the ! for a 1 at the end of the damage numbers?
1k damage with a hunting horn on a single it is impossible.
