It’s so interesting how different the style of play for speed runs is compared to normal gameplay. No mantles, no aerial attacks, no mounting, no clutch claw, just smacking the monster in the face with the basic combos until it’s dead.
I like the way you manual attack with the kinsect on 2:27, 135 dmg from safe distance... I usually just run around waiting the blast particles to explode
Taroth water glaive is OP. Wish I had it. I'm trying my damnedest with the true gae bolg but I have the hardest time dodging his tackles. His hitbox is big af.
You know how like one good player can redefine how you see a weapon? That’s kinda what this video did for me. I just kinda thought the Glaive was a weapon for people who wanted to fight airborne monsters but still use melee, but you use it here like a Hammer or Hunting horn, so I guess it doesn’t matter.
Hey Zebra, is the water damage much more optimal than a dragon weapon with higher raw, or even a raw weapon with much higher raw? Still fairly new on how the elemental damage works in here.
Water and ice is best for teostra. That being said, this is the strongest water weapon for ig. The deviljho ig is good but has negative affinity so it's not really good for TA runs. Tho there's another if user who used the deviljho ig and got a 6:06 TA time on arch tempered teostra
Thong - Generally, IG needs to lean more towards elemental damage than raw. Motion values for most of IG's attacks aren't very high, so going for a monster's 3* elemental weakness will boost your damage more than stacking raw. Of course, there are other considerations, such as certain armor combinations keeping you from slotting the optimal jewels and wanting to add quality-of-life skills, but that's pretty much a general guideline. So to your question, yes, the lower raw on Taroth Water will trump Grunge Storm against Teostra, owing to its large water element value.
Thanks guys, I also just tested Diablos vs the water glaive for the PC version. Although the Diablos normally trumps in damage, Teostra's armor greatly reduced the physical raw damage, but the water glaive's elemental damage was still good.
Anyone know if 2 piece rathalos and 2 piece behemoth set bonus stack or not? Could do a lot of damage in the air with a crit elemental build that way right? Or am I mistaken?
How do you know a blast proc you received won't trigger? I see you got a blast proc at 2:37, but didn't bother clearing it by rolling. Shouldn't it be triggered by a timer?
@@psalmyyvan I'm aware, but he kept it for quite long. Usually when i get blast procs, it explodes well before 12 seconds have gone by, which is why i try to clear them immediately when i get them.

How can he not stopping and aiming while throwing the insect ? Playing with insect glaive 1st time but i need to aim n stop if i want to shoot the insect.
pro gamerer yeah im playing in pc but using controller, cause first i need press LT in xbox controller or L2 in ps controller (aiming with crosshair like bow) then press RT or R2 to throw insect n while throwing insect there will be an animation like shooting insect n u will be stand still till the animation over. But in this video he can shoot while moving or walking without aiming n do atk combo in split of second. I also notice he can get all the color boost without aiming.
Fredy L idk how it is in pc, but on ps4, L2+R2 is marking a target for your bug to attack, you want to do L2+Triangle to shoot your bug while moving and aiming. If sheathed, can do R2 for send out bug but only what is in front of your characters direction.
Andre Pando he is wearing a 4 piece armor that activates a skill called master's touch. Every critical hit he does will prevent the weapon sharpness from decreasing. That's why the white sharpness lasted throughout the entire fight
the combo, ,on PS4 controller, he uses is: triangle-triangle-circle-circle why ure seeing so many numbers is the bug attacking at the same time. Right before 1:15 he marks the bug with R2 then starts his combo. on the first circle atk the bug has a few blast clouds built up and happens to atk at the same time. so u see like 5 numbers pop up (3 blast clouds and 1 from the bug atk and 1 from his own IG hit most of thse are for 12 or so dmg each) its a good combo when you have the monster down on the ground for awhile. I wish i was as good at controlling my bug with my character positioning like he is though. I cant get nearly enough head shots with the blunt bug to get the knockout he gets even when its all i focus on.
Aerial attacks are only good for triggering status (poison/paralysis) since it hits multiple times. But it hits with low dmg. Also, I second the previous comment
I do not want to sound like a know-it-all but it would not have been better to go with 2 pieces of rathalos armor to enhance that elemental critic? I'm asking because I'm sure you've tried other builds

You're a bad influence on the community, because people watch your channel and get inspired by it to make perfect speedruns, so they keep abandoning runs that aren't going perfect. Just because my swift double fortify proc strats aren't quite mainstream yet everyone is always quick to bail on the mission. I started going the extra mile to really contribute when I cart by eating for felyne parting gift, but most people don't have the IQ required to even comprehend it. Hey man, the PC version is out so we should really play with each other and I can show you how good this build really is. We can both double cart as soon as we enter the mission as a time investment. As long as neither of us cart again, we won't cart three times, and that's easy with 30% extra defense. I'm hoping to see that ZebraKitaek27 collab run on your page soon.

Yes, people are going to abandon runs that aren't perfect, because that's what speedrunning is, you practice, and practice, and scrap failed attempts until you get it perfect. You can learn monsters attacks by killing them many times, while doing that you can form your own combos as well. But it's easier said than done.😜😜

the helicopter move on IG is never to be used for speedruns due to low damage output. generally, every time you use it, it's dps loss
