Yup! Looks like a backlight failure for me...thank you so much for including that bit of info: i checked 4 different other resources first, including Vizio Support, and none of them mentioned that possibility. Good show, Chap!
I had the same problem, that solution worked for a few months but this morning it won’t work. The power light just keeps blinking on & off. I tried everything 🤷♂️
Update: It worked until it didn't work. Sometimes it took 3 attempts, sometimes 7, and then near the end it worked on the first attempt. But ultimately I swapped the flatscreen, it lasted 10 years so there's that.
My Vizio exhibits the symptoms consistent with a back light problem (i see the feint light responding) however if I turn it off, wait several seconds and turn it back on it works perfectly, this has been happening for about a month now. I'm wondering if this would help pinpoint the issue....?
Same here, the power light keeps blinking on & off. It would work when I unplugged it & plugged it back in but this morning it won’t turn on. I’ve only had this tv since late June 2023😢 Summer one said I might have to order a new power board 🤦♂️🤷♂️

The unplug/replug worked for me, just wondering how often I'll have to do this, i've done it twice now. Thanks for making this.

From my research and testing it seems like it's a power supply issue on the logic board either bad caps or bad soder joints.

Sounds like a component failure - you can check with a multimeter.
