I love ❤this. Thank you for making this shawl pattern very understandable, showing row by row. I am going to give it a go and try making this gorgeous shawl. 💖🤗💐🥰
3 things.. 1)Thank you for this! 2)I love that it's bottom up so that if you only have one cake you don't have to worry about running out of yarn before getting to the point. 3)Show of hands; everyone who counts their stitches regardless of whose pattern they're working on think of Craig aka Fiber Spider? 🙋
I LOVE this bottom up virus! I’ve made several shawls the “traditional” way but I really like this pattern. Thank you Craig for another great project 😊
Craig, I really like how you teach; you're well-paced with out being too fast and you explain as you go. You stop and show your work so we can do the same to compare and to know that we're in step with you. I especially liked how toward the end, you went through repeat rows 9 to 12. That is a huge help because I have trouble retaining memory sometimes, so 2 thumbs up! ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you again!🙂
A beautiful addition to all of the other virus variations. I will definitely add this to my virus shawl collection. Thanks for your wonderful tutorial!
Brilliant! You are so creative! I love the top of this shawl so much better than the original! I'l be trying this next Virus shawl. Thank you for all your wonderful tutorials! You are so patient and thorough! I have learned so much.
I honestly was not expecting myself to get as excited about working on this project as I am. It's like every new repeat I get more and more excited. Especially seeing as I'm using Malabrigo's Arroyo yarn in the colorway Secret for this project. The colors are absolutely stunning with this stitch pattern!! 🎉❤🎉
So pretty! Thank you! You have quickly become the only teacher that I watch because your instructions are so clear and easy to follow. Brrrr! it is soooo windy and cold here where I live! Would you help by creating a double-layered, or super dense, thick winter hat for extra warmth and wind-blocking? I am relatively new to crocheting, but each hat I have tried to crochet allows too much air flow in to make it practical for this super cold and windy weather. It would be so wonderful!
Started my 1st shawl in this style and its turning out great! I am using a worsted weight #4 with a K hook and that is working out well for my shawl in progress :)
Alrighty!!!😃 Immediately add this gorgeous sjawl to my Fiber Spider folder. It looks fantastic! It looks so similar to the other virus scarf but also so very different. I love it, thank you, Craig 🤗
Such a beautiful shawl, as ever Craig you are a genius, I’ve bought some lion brand mandala but couldn’t find the big bundle so have 4 cakes of it. Can’t wait to finally get started on this. Thank you so much for your patience in showing us more than one repeat, it really helps me as I’m in no way proficient or confident in crochet… probably will never be, but I enjoy it nevertheless.
Working it on right now it is so pretty I can’t wait to wear it I think I’m going to do mine and read I will take a picture of it and show it to you thank you so so much for sharing this with us have a good day
I'll probably go hunt out your top down or blanket version of this. I prefer the v shape of the top down. Never knew the virus stitch was so simple as you made this look though .... you've probably answered a lot of prayers with this one though as I know some people really DON'T like the V effect when using self striping or different colors
I really like your crochet-needle. Will you tell me where you got it? Love you Channel too, such a quiet soothing voice that makes us believe we can do it❣️
Im always losing my hooks! Ive now taken to photographing my hook and yarn together so i know which size hook im using, as i have multiples of each size, and can use an alternate until i find the original hook. Usually im sat on it.
I like the way you teach
Like Chevron Granny S I love all things Virus. Thank you for all you do
Love your tutorials. Finished my granny/virus shawl. In blue only. Very nice.
I love ❤this. Thank you for making this shawl pattern very understandable, showing row by row. I am going to give it a go and try making this gorgeous shawl. 💖🤗💐🥰
I love this idea! Just finished my first virus shawl the original way but I love the looks of this one! Thanks!

Craig’s alpine stitch hat is very dense. You might try it in a wool yarn for more warmth.
Started my 1st shawl in this style and its turning out great! I am using a worsted weight #4 with a K hook and that is working out well for my shawl in progress :)
Am working on this now. Turning out really nice!

Hi Craig...beautiful. I have just started your Corded Shells Rectangle blanket. I saw Rose and the 4 she made and the colors so I am on it.
Just wow! 🤩 ❤
Gorgeous!
I'll probably go hunt out your top down or blanket version of this. I prefer the v shape of the top down. I really like your crochet-needle. Will you tell me where you got it? Love you Channel too, such a quiet soothing voice that makes us believe we can do it❣️
Do you have this in like a blanket version love it!
Love this!!! Is it wide
I like this very much but I'd would like to know where I could get a good set of wooden hooks
This is lovely! Can you tell us the exact yardage or weight. Thanks
I love the look of this stitch. I’m a beginner, my question is this is just the stitch not how to make the shall, correct?
Whe tree did you get the Mandala bonus bundle Sasquatch I love Sasquatch
What row do we stop, do we stop at the last solid Double or do we stop at the double stitch one
Im always losing my hooks! Ive now taken to photographing my hook and yarn together so i know which size hook im using, as i have multiples of each size, and can use an alternate until i find the original hook. Usually im sat on it.
Can we start with a magic circle? 🤔
Can this stitch be used gif a scarf?
Is there a beanie to match in this pattern?
How on earth did you figure this out? Well done!
Insomnia can be a double edged sword. Lol 😉 Thank you
With lots of patience, tears and caffeine, I suspect! 😅
Do you have any 3 D blanket videos
Look at the 3D scarves on Fiber Spider's channel. I think a lot of those could be made into blankets.😀
What's the finished dimensions?
Does anyone know if there is a written pattern to go with this video?
If there is, it's likely to be on his Etsy page! :)
What brand is your hook?
It's from an etsy store called Letto Workshop. Unfortunately, last time I checked they are still closed since they are located in Ukraine.
How did the name virus came about? Just curious.
You would have to ask the original virus shawl designer, Julia Marquardt.
Could this be done as a rectangle wrap? What would the stitch count?
Made this not perfect hopefully next one will be better
