Hi Craig, I am MARSHELEE, a blind crochet teacher, here on UA-cam, I have made a couple of your projects. Being that I can’t see, I love your tutorials work on your granny rap sure. I finish finish it it turned out great. Thank you for a great tutorial.
I have been watching your tutorials for quite awhile and I just wanted to let you know that you really are a gifted teacher and have a great way of communicating with your followers! You have a gift! Keep up the amazing work you do! I am sure many people like myself have learned so much from you! God Bless!
Hello, Hello! I have no idea how I found you, but I'm so glad I did. I was looking for an easy shawl to make for a loved one. This one is perfect. Thank you
Why do I love your tutorials and patterns?....let me count the reasons. First off, they are absolutely beautiful! I honestly haven't seen a tutorial of yours I didn't like. Secondly, you use yarns that are easily available to everyone. Next, you don't waste time demonstrating how to make stitches (hence making things very boring and frustrating) Your tutorials are "easy" but not "beginner". There is a difference, and you have that down pat! Thank you! Experienced crocheters like easy patterns, but don't need all the extra. I can just listen to your tutorials and follow along. I have made several of your shawl patterns and love them all!
Thank you for making these, I'm starting a prayer shawl ministry, and I think this shawl is perfect for what I was looking for. All of your tutorials are always easy to follow along and do. Thanks!
Thank you for this tutorial. The only way I can learn to crochet as I can't decipher written instructions. I am using your technique to crochet a prayer shawl.
These are my favorite tutorials. Not too fast or slow in explanation, a great view of the stitches and how/where they are placed, enough repetition of the rows and pattern; and the wonderful options/variations that are possible. Thanks for these!
I've made granny merge blankets before, and just recently I was thinking it would be nice to make a shawl like this...and here you are! Perfect timing! Thank you!!
Thank you so much for this wonderful shawl pattern. I love your ability to teach so well and I really enjoy listening to you talk. Your crochet stitches are beautiful. Thanks again for everything!!
Hello Craig! I am in the process of making this shawl for someone as I am sending this comment. You are truly a great online instructor. Your instructions are very easy to follow and that makes me want to continue following you. I’ve seen quite a few others that I am very interested in making as well. Thank you so much for sharing your craft! You are truly a gifted crocheter. 🌹
It reminds me of something I tried in your Starburst shawl. I was following the tutorial and then decided to try a few peek holes and it kinda came out similar to this. I really love your work and I've tried following other tutorials, but your voice is the most soothing for my adhd and hypersensitivity to sound so I always come back to your videos 💕 thank you!
You are awesome! Really like the way you do your videos. Doing it once and then doing the pattern again. Me.....I follow the visual. Have never been able to follow a written pattern. I do write down each row for me to remember. Like you, I love the none stress , as you say EASY PEZZY . THANK YOU
Just love your crochet tutorials , clear , precise ,fun and you explain yourself so well , manty thanks for all the happy hours of crochet and the lovely results !
Love & appreciate all your tutorials! Currently I’m working on the ripple blanket which my daughter saw & loved. You never complicate the work. And your explanations are so helpful. Thank you so much!🤩🤩🤩😁😁😁💕💕💕
Beautiful! Although I have never commented before, I enjoy watching your tutorials very much. You explain very clearly the patterns and you encourage your followers to go beyond the pattern. Thank you for sharing❤❤
I absolutely loved it! I'm making one right now. Thank you so much, your instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I'm keeping this one but I'm definitely making one as a Christmas present for my mother in law.
Thanks for this tutorial! I'm starting one now that will be a prayer shawl that my group donates to people. You are so easy to follow and enjoy listening to you!
**WOW! ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS PATTERN 💝💝💝! THE HAND DYED MERINO TOOK MY BREATH AWAY 💝💝💝! I WAS LOVING THE FIRST YARN BUT MAN YOU BLEW MY MIND WHEN YOU PULLED OUT THE HAND DYED MERINO! THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGLY GORGEOUS 😊💝💝💝!!! YOU ARE AWESOME 😊💙💙💙!!!*
Thank you for your excellent tutorials. Your work is so beautiful and looks so complicated, but you give just the right amount of instruction. I don’t have to sit through you explaining how to make a slip knot, but you make every stitch right along with me, so I can tell if my work is matching yours. Plus, your extra tips are invaluable!
The rust coloured shawl is GORGEOUS! By coincidence I am making this pattern as we speak! I just finished a plain granny shawl and wanted a little different stitch. Much love!❤
I ended up buying different color cake skeins "just because they were on sale"! And I have been looking for a pattern that would require only 1 skein! This is just a wonderful pattern and I love that you don't go too fast nor too slow. Looking forward to beginning my shawl. Thank you - you're a great teacher!
Love this pattern, so simple yet elegant depending on your yarn, mostly love the one done in the Merino wool georgeous!!!! Thank you so much for sharing. Your the best. 🤗🤗🤗❣️❣️❣️
I started and unraveled a shawl attempt several times because I did not like the way the project was looking with the yarn choice. Then I saw your video and “Ahhhhhhhhhh” it was a perfect fit. Thank you for this tutorial. My shawl is amazing ❤️🥰
Luv ya, Michael! My son has that name. I discovered you on UA-cam and love your tutorials so much. I stay home, and it seems crochet is what I live for lol. You are my favorite tutor because you are so meticulous at explaining the patterns . I started crochet when I was 17. It's been a few decades 😏
Ha! I thought the thumbnail was mandala spirit! I just finished a plain granny shawl with that yarn. Thank you for this pattern, it really is one of those auto pilot patterns that are simple yet still visually appealing.
I hope you're proud of yourself! I donate 9/10ths of what I make. A friend gave me yarn that she didn't like (neither do I), but they are 3 colors not full equal skeins. I had started a shawl in a plain old granny stitch & got a fair way through. I saw this video & started it with another yarn. The other shawl just looked boring, so I am now in the process of taking it out! LOL. I really want to maybe try one of the variations you talked about. Thanks, as always, for your great tutorials.
Thank you for your lovely work and demonstration. It was so helpful and useful for me. Thanks and keep up your wonderful work and demonstrations of tour helpful skills.
I love your videos! I’m self taught and still learning to crochet. Your instructions are easy to follow and have used several of your videos for shawl patterns. Thank you so much! I love to crochet because it gives me a break from my busy day and helps calm me down. It’s relaxing to crochet.
Thank you for teaching me a new technique :) to make it my own, on the solid sections, when the 'right' side was facing me, I worked in the back loop to add a touch of texture to the rows. Happy weaving!
Just gotta say, been trying to figure out how to do merging for ages and your tutorial has been a life saver! Also can I say listening to you gives me such Bob Ross energy and can't explain it 🤣 will definitely be checking out your other videos!!
I took your rectangle granny with the 2 loops and adapted it to do the merge granny. I also do it on a hexagons. This is my favorite pattern since Thanksgiving. I did several blankets for Christmas and a gift for a baby shower.
When I seen the picture I thought it was it was rug. I got excited! I'm obsessed with rugs right now. Hahaa! I love this, its beautiful. I'm putting it on my to do list!
This was a super fun project to work on, thank you! I played around with it for a couple different projects and found that for the double crochet rows, if you put two doubles, two triples and another two doubles in the chain 3 space at the point it looks really nice!
Hi the first time I tried this shawl I had a hard time to do it I don’t know why because with endurance and your fantastic instructions I was able to make it and I love it 😻
I love this pattern. Thank you for showing it. I had mandala in the colour warlock. I held the strands double. (Cut out the dark green and didnt use that). It turned out so nice. I used 4 balls altogether.
This is amazing. I’m adding it to my list to make. It would make a fabulous blanket too, by making 2 shawls and joining them together, by either crochet or sewing.
WOW...such an easy peasy pattern but with so many ways one can change it up! LOVE LOVE LOVE It....I started mine using Red Heart Super Saver Ombre in 'sutherland stripe' with a K hook....and it is coming out SUPER WONDERFUL....as SUPER WONDERFUL as you are as a teacher! THANK YOU SO MUCH, Craig, for another awesome tutorial!!! :)
