A/B on the compressor could be the different transformers on the shadow hills. Adds some extra harmonics in the lows or the low mids. Could be! I've seen him talk about it in a video when explaining his old routing.
Hey Jerry, I’m loving this plugin because even as cpu hungry it is it’s still less intensive than all the plugins it replaced and I can make tweaks more efficient. However it forced me to rearrange my bass and kick bus and I’m still figuring out the sweet spot on my bass buss that feeds 808/bass into the my soft-clipper where drums and bass are glued with all my drums. How did you tackle the aforementioned?
Is the harmonics knob and compression knob fully paralleled or is it just about slighly mixing in the sound? From what Ive seen him do, everything is a str8 chain until he routes his aux busses? also its a bit confusing as he has parallel sliders later down the plugin...
@@marcusagain I don’t use fruity soft clipper on the master, but sometimes I do use some other clipping plugins on the master. Most of the clipping I do is on the individual tracks themselves like the kick and snare. So in my case, I’d likely be using the grit fader very lightly if at all.
Granted it’s very CPU heavy, but this plugin is literally $400+ worth of plugins In a single unit, with all the routing you would normally have to do already set and ready to go
Jaycen Joshua is selling his little gimmicky tool to bedroom FL Studio "producers". I inspected ORION today and it sucks tbh. I can even hear it instantly on this track. The saturation is subpar to todays options. The transients from the parallels don't even sync correctly. I'm super disappointed. I would not even us it for free. It sounds horrible.
An actual useful demo, thanks J

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking too!
Great review jerry! I always love your videos, again great job!!

I love how much weight it adds

JERRYYY 🔥💯
Anyone know what freq the HPF is set to when turned on?
Do you use generally use fruity soft clipper on the master ?
If so will you leave that on? Say if you use the grit setting on your drums

Great review; we appreciate it. Unbiased and practical
BRAVO!
70% cpu used ?
Yeah, it is 🥲 mine took like 80% of cpu
Let’s gooo
Nice Demo:))

Nice one
I got better results running this on parallel rather than inserting it on my drum-bus channel. I strongly suggest you try that.
Definitely a game changer … I thought god particle was all you needed
@@jdosupreme4185 Yeah it’s perfect for everyone trying to replicate his drum bus template
@@mixwithjerry yeah he definitely unlocked the gates on that one
Jj made a junior wannabe ml4k plug… this should be free
the cpu :/
The downside of the plugin :( is the CPU yeah
Why not use it on REAL DRUMS????
I did at 5:27
