- Here are the plugins that I use on my drum bus. This is the Jaycen Joshua drum bus and routing he uses, but applied in FL Studio. This will work in any DAW though - Pro Tools, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Ableton, Cubase, etc.

Wow, I just realized that I got Shadow Hills Compressor & Black box in a bundle, just before I built a new PC and completely forgot! 😅I put the TDR Kolenchikov(? sorry for my Russian) on instead but I just found it, lucky day! 😅

For me doing A/B’s without loudness compensation is very difficult. Plugins like Letimix Gainmatch let me judge objectively if the plugin actually does what i want vs just turn the volume up. I stopped using a lot of plugins i was using religiously after comparing with Gainmatch. But still some of the plugins in this video probably add some extra harmonic magic even after matching the gain and the gain staging tips were great. Thanks for sharing! Subscribed

The GOAT Jerry!! Really appreciate the way you teach en every video you make. Got a question tho, where can I get a pan plugin like the one you are using. I cant find a stock pan plugin in pro tools. Thank you very much.
Apparently with ProTools you don’t need one. Jaycen Joshua just uses a Spectral Analyzer plugin after his initial NLS Buss chain to visually see which side the drums are leaning towards and then he adjusts either the left or right channel with ProTool’s pan knob at a value of precisely 86 to get them straight back down the middle. There’ll still be some width afterwards but he says that is an INTENDED effect of the NLS Buss trick. Hope this helps!

I have the compressor set to Stereo instead of Dual Mono (located underneath the meters). This makes it to where the knobs on the left control everything. The knobs on the right are useless at that point. The parameter link feature would only be useful if you wanted to A/B between dual mono and stereo. If you were going to switch back over to dual mono, the parameter link feature would be useful to have the same settings set for the knobs on the right side because now they have an effect on the right signal. The sidechain filter is set at 20 Hz (located at the bottom of the plugin). With this activated like it is, the compressor will not be triggered by anything below 20 Hz. Hope this helps.
