I remember sitting inside the differential of a WABCO 252 with a magnet and rags cleaning out pieces of steel. Wish they were still around. Wish I was that young again!!!
Lately it's been about fixing broken stuff so I can go two work next week. But there is always time to go down to the ceremony at the cemetery and honor those who served and died so I may write this.
The ringing of the liberty bell by Wabco and Jpaydirt, perfect song for memorial day. Thank you to all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice this day and everyday forth.
@@mikek5298 My father fought in WWII and watched many fellow soldiers die on the beach and the liberty bell represents freedom. My memorial to my father and his belated Marine friends who fought for our freedom and liberty. God rest their souls now and forever.
We made a container at work to put bearings in and we pour liquid nitrogen in it to freeze the bearing slides right in the welding store we get gas and supplies from sells liquid nitrogen
It's kind of astounding to learn the disparity in prices. Double between vendors ? Have a great Memorial Day and Best Wishes to everyone at Anderson Construction Jeff.
Used to bend straight axles to set the camber on big trucks, semi's. Would also twist them to set caster. Used big clevis' and 100 ton jacks and so forth. When i'd get anywhere over 25 tons of pressure I'd get puckered so tight you could not have driven a pin up my mud whistle with an 8 pound sledge.
Jeff, I have been following your channel from way back when you were putting out videos of “slot dosing” those pits for dumping rock from land clearing…, and I always loved seeing you and your boys working together.., particularly in and around the shop. Quite frankly, I am green with envy.., at what you have in that. BTW it is nerve racking as hell, watching these pressing off of sprockets, and final drive gears…, hahaha…! Keep up the good work, and putting out these videos. Thank you sir.
BEAUTIFUL "RING" to that gear, wonder what tone it would be IF all the teeth were perfect???? MUST have been some slag in the casting??? Were the teeth chunks ground up or pretty much broken and laying in the bottom??? I WONDER were those American made bearings or Russian??? HAPPY HOLIDAY - GOD BLESS / THANKS FOR THE UPDATE !!! 😍😍😍😍😍
Loop those WABCOs driving in the video opening for 10 minutes and see how many minutes people watch before they say "Hey, wait I think there are only two! haha. 🤣😅
you mean the ring gear ? it's the weak link in these trucks, but I also think most of it is operator abuse, forward to reverse while still moving, bad shifting habits and just general abuse
What is the number on the bearing? I ended up with 20 55 gallon drums full of brand new bearing wrapped in paper. I am trying to sort them all out and build an inventory list so I can sell them. I have many bearings around that size and ones 3 times that diamater.

That is some quality steel from the beautiful ring it made when hit with the sledge hammer.

👹 So a 50 ton ram. How many 'pi r squared' is it, or was that psi in pi r squared. Mr Griffey burried my homework. 😮
beats me there's a label on the ram LOL
“It’s simple...”
But it’s not easy.
Shop saftey officer Mr Griffin was safe outside hiding bones . 😊😊
Church is in ding ding
Jeff you need to pick up A good use 5000 pound forklift with pneumatic tires for the Shop for doing these projects you got.
Two things. The first being that is one torn up gear. The second is that bearing price is highway robbery.
explosion made me jump ¬!
Liquid Nitrogen...far superior to dry ice.
Yes, but can you do damage to the gear by cooling it so quickly and so cold?
yep..i jumped a couple times...
Scary
No light weights in that yard...😉

Would it be possible to swap the entire rear end out for a CAT rear end?
Jeff wins again
Pardon my ignorance on heavy equipment but how did the swing gear get damaged like that?
you mean the ring gear ? it's the weak link in these trucks, but I also think most of it is operator abuse, forward to reverse while still moving, bad shifting habits and just general abuse
Who’s this young buck in the blue sweatshirt? He get a YT channel yet??
Happy holidays boyz!

@@Jpaydirt I have a bearing cross reference databases that I downloaded and according to it the Cat 777A-F uses the same wheel bearing.
U better now scratch that nice ford😂😂
No rain? we were getting dumped on late this morning and early afternoon. Partly cloudy now 100 miles south of you.
it's always spotty
Are you sure it was 30 ton ? 😂explain the math .
This one was labeled 😊
