So its better to drive the new Honda City more on the highway than in the city. Maybe the diesel MT or petrol CVT variant will fare better. Should we test them next? Let us know in the comments below!
Please test the cvt variant, thanks.
Yes diesel MT
Please test the CVT variant
Please test CVT and iDtec both. Heard so much about it. Want to see if that is true.
I've been driving my 5th Gen City V MT since Feb 2022 and have driven about 2000 km. For reference I use my city for daily travel to office around 18.5 km one side which includes 11 km of traffic less travel and 6 of low to medium traffic and 1.5 km of bumper to bumper traffic. I live in shimla so my travel includes downhill and uphill drive. I drive in a very relaxed manner with my RPM levels under 2k. Initially I was getting a mileage of around 13-14 kmpl but with time it has improved to around 15-16kmpl. My MID shows 16kmpl.
Also I took it to Chandigarh once and on the entire trip I got figures of around 17-18 kmpl (not calculated rigorously). I really want to take it out to a good highway where I can actually use cruise control and then calculate and hope the figure reaches around 19-20kmpl. Irrespective of the mileage, it's an honor to drive this car. 😎
Love watching these in-depth reviews! Great job you guys! 👏🏻👍🏻
I always knew that the Honda City should actually be called the Honda Highway! It always drank fuel in slow traffic. The ideal speed is 70-80 in top Gear where it can give some insane numbers. My old 2008 City gave me 590 km on 30 L of fuel at 80-90 on the highway.
Very helpful video.....should do more of these for all the cars that you guys review
After driving the Honda City VX Petrol MT for 4000km, I get a mileage of approx 12 kmpl in the city with very less traffic jams. I drive in a relaxed manner but not very slow also to irritate the traffic around me. On the highway (approx 500km only) , I get 17kmpl driving around 110km/hr (little aggressive keeping rpm above 2500 before I come to a cruising speed of 100-110km/hr). In bumper to bumper traffic, I think it drops down to 10kmpl (couldn't test accurately)
Great video!
So relatable. Great video and facts. Zxcvt review please
Excellent....please do similar test on AMAZE 2021 face lift VX MT top end version
11.13 kmpl City
18.43 kmpl Highway
Overall 13 kmpl
I really like the way the host presented the video.
Billal - can you do a review of 2+ usedhonda city 5th gen and check the mileage in urban and highway separately
Best 👌🏽
I've been able to extract highway mileage of max. 19.5 km/ltr. on my 6 month old 5th Gen ZX CVT model with 5 people on board with full luggage by maintaining a constant speed of 80kms/hr. In Mumbai city driving, I do not get more than 8 - 10 kms/ltr.
Hello, Can we get the same figure of mileage if we r cruising on less speed for example 60 km in 6th gear itself! I don't understand everyone gets good mileage when they go fast 80 km and all! But why? Actually the economy speed can only give u a good mileage figure na?
@@attuskingdom3968a speed of 60 may return a good mileage but for a 1.5 litre engine the optimal speed is about 70-85. That way we can squeeze out more distance for roughly a bit more fuel.
@@dystopian3342 Ohk so its because of the 1.5 cc engine! 🔥
Can you make Mileage Test for Hyundai 1.0 Turbo Engine...
Have you tested vehicle grip in hilly areas…?
Can anyone help me to know what mileage is giving by Honda city Manual petrol? My case is not more that 12 or 13 (AC on). First servicing is completed. Is there any chance to increase?
If you have just completed the first free service (no oil change), then the mileage will definitely increase later
Do it with 4th generation mt city..... It will give higher thaan this.....
atlast he told decent performance i was shocked. it is the best engine in the segment
Its because of the more turbo chsrged engine ,which makes this car bit outdated in performance, but everyone knows it is the best in na engine 😢
Mine is a 5th gen petrol MT zx city. Im getting 13 kmpl in city and 18 kmpl in highway. Odo; 1800 kms
Expecting to improve slightly after 3000 kms . Lets see
Good
Has it improved?
I own 5th gen city MT .. in full tank it stretches upto 650km
Are you serious? My city doesn't even show 550 kms on a full tank range. And when you hit the gas hard then toh it reduces the range as if someone counts the digits back with a 5 second gap. Very disappointed with its mileage
I rarely go over 80km/h … i drive between 70-80km/h with light foot. No harsh acceleration. Use 91 Octane fuel or above.
@@BullHub I stay in Assam State where 10 percent ethanol is mixed with petrol. Will that be the reason for it? Also the place you stay do the petrol pumps display 10 percent blended ethanol?
I don’t know ethanol is mixed or not. But drive with light foot, I’m sure you’ll get good range. At least 600km
I owned 2017 ivtec V which gives 17 kmpl on highway
I have VX MT petrol City. On highway it gave me 21kmpl mileage ( AC off,80-90 speed)
That's great
3:36 "Driving the Honda City in the city..". I don't know why but that sounded good..😀
Diesel manual test needed
Its engine is noiser or silent than older one?
Quieter than before when not being pushed. Sounds sporty when pushed to the red line!
Needed petrol CVT on city and hi-way
18000 km in himachal mileage given min. 14 max 22
124hp or so if I'm not wrong
Wait for Honda City Hybrid.
Do the same for Baleno amt 2022 very exited to see the results ...waiting !
Will do. Thank you for the feedback Rohan
Want to buy New Honda City ...not able to decide petrol or diesel....daily run is 45-50 kms.... currently driving Honda Amaze diesel...which is giving 18+ mileage...kindly try to answer .. thanks
Which car you purchased bro ?
@@ayushpatel3624 still driving Amaze as daily drive has reduced to 5 -10 kms due to nearby posting.... waiting for Honda Elevate and it's pricing 😀
I got 22 kmpl on a I'd tec city at speed from 90 to 100 kmph
Still petrol is too expensive for us can't run 10-11 kmpl on city with city it's 11.3rs per km 🤯 as of now when petrol is 113rs per litre.still diesel is the way for thousand mile runners.
18+ kmpl in highway is fine for this segment car..city mileage could have been better
I have managed 23.6 kmpl for 180 km ride.
I have managed 22.9 kmpl at a similar ride.
@@rudrapratapsinha8880 22 is good and great for most ridea.
Ok. On Maintaining what speed bro? Are u mentioning the manual petrol ?
@@attuskingdom3968 75
@@AshikJonathan oh thats a great mileage for the speed! 🔥
My city Mt gives 13.3 kmpl after 6 years I need to service
add cng
i am getting 19 kmpl, i get least 17 and max 24 on highway.
That's great!
Can anyone Since Honda has announced VRS(voluntary retirement scheme) for its top management and shut down of its plant in noida ,is it symbolisam of Honda leaving india. Not only this but lack of innovation and poor line up with only city and amaze making most of the sales how gud can Honda survive in india.Because ford did the same mistake of no new products and no new facelifts and honda is following same .
Honda has announced various models like city hybrid and suv based on city but these are postponed again and again or is it just a hype to buy out some time so that it can sort things out before leaving.
When u look at the home financials it is evident that it has recorded lose of >1600 in the past 2 years.
The most bothering thing is should we consider buying the Honda products City and amaze or look for an alternative.
I am considering buying City . should I go for city or choose alternative leaving Honda behind .
Buy city before too late.. u ll love its engine
